The Feast of Unleavened Bread, which was formally introduced to the children of Israel upon their departure from Egypt, was rooted in a message from God going back to the beginning of time. That message, which was given to Adam, is simply “eating the wrong stuff will kill you”. (Here we are speaking about spiritual eating; however, God does have a physical dietary law, which is important as well.) And no we are not talking about eating an apple. We are commanded by God to abstain from leavening and to eat unleavened bread for seven days every spring, at the beginning of God’s year cycle (immediately after the Passover…Exodus 12:13-15). God is not a vain God and he is not in the business of just giving us something to do to pass time. Therefore, we should realize that this observance has great significance, even as it pertains to our salvation. By observing this feast we acknowledge our abstinence from sinful ways (leavening) and show our commitment to true worship (unleavened) of God. We all must reach this crossroad in our life, just as Israel reached it, after leaving Egypt. They immediately ate only unleavened bread (Exodus 12:39) signifying the beginning of their new walk with God.

Notice that this observance came on the heels of Israel’s redemption by the blood of the Passover lamb. Well, Jesus is the Passover lamb and he died on this very day (the Passover…Matthew 26:1,2). Either this was quite a coincidence or God is revealing his perfect plan to us. After we come under the blood of Jesus, by baptism, we must be committed to walking with him in truth (unleavened bread), leaving behind all falsehood (leavening). Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth” (I Corinthians 5:7,8).

Oh’ what a wonderful God we serve, who after he redeems us, tells us how the redeemed must walk to get life. Praise God! Many people believe that this feast along with God’s other Holy Days have been done away with. Why would God do away with his Perfect plan? Only Satan would promote such teaching, as he did with Adam and Eve after God had given them specific instructions. Many attempt to make this commandment too hard to fulfill, but how hard is it to change the bread you eat for one week? If we can buy a tree, haul it home, set it up and decorate it, which God never commanded, surely we can keep this feast, which he did command.

The Apostle Paul and other Apostles didn’t do away with the Lord’s feasts. To the contrary, they knew the importance of these days and continued to observe them, even after Jesus was resurrected. Paul said, “...I must by all means keep this feast...” (Acts 18:21) and it is also written, “And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread...” (Acts 20: 6). Obviously Paul understood what a lot of people don’t understand today, and that is The Feast of Unleavened Bread is to be observed “by an ordinance forever” (Exodus 12:17). This observance is so important to God; he issued it with the death penalty if ignored. “...for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel” (Exodus 12:15).

Many people who choose to ignore this feast should reexamine their teaching. Unfortunately, the majority of people (many are called but few are chosen) have not learned that there is only one true way to worship God. Leaven is sin and we know that Paul says in Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Now take a look at (1John: 1:10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. According to bible you can’t be living a sinless life, because if you make such a statement, you just lied.

Also Paul says in (Rom. 5:13) (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. If there is no law, there is no sin!

Paul says in (1Cor. 14:37) If any man thinks himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

Paul didn’t come preaching and teaching his own thing, but he abided in the doctrine of Christ. (Rom. 3:20) Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sights for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

The deeds of the law is referring to the animal sacrificial laws, all those sacrifices can never remove sins, so they could never be justified. This is true because the blood of Jesus can only justify us. The animal sacrificial laws was added because people continue to sin, and the wages of sin bring for death. So instead of God killing people every time they sin, he gave Moses a law to use, animals. So by the other law (Ten Commandments, statutes and Judgement) is the knowledge of sin.

Paul says in Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. You wouldn’t know what sin was if there was no law.

So the Unleavened Bread we want to eat is that spiritual bread that is from Christ. Jesus says in John 6: 32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

I know many people believe on the name of Jesus, but you have to come to Jesus in faith and do his will as Jesus did the will of the father.

One of the first things Jesus said was to repent.

Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Eating off this bread which is Jesus is a spiritual meal brothers and sisters. This is a daily meal we must eat consistently. Because learning about the living God is a life long journey.

Now let's go all the way to the future in Jesus kingdom on earth and see the last feast we will have to keep, in the thousand year millennium period. Let's go into Zechariah 14: 1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. 16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. 18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Read the hold chapter on your own, but let's go to one last place in Colossians 2: 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Jesus removed the Mosaic law and that includes feasts.

Mark 11:14 - And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Jesus told the Pharisees He was removing the Kingdom of God from them. This includes feasts.

Matthew 21:43 - I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.

Jesus said the temple would be destroyed and also destroys the Mosaic law and feasts and sacrifices as a way to forgive sins, Jesus is the High Priest now.

Luke 19:42-44 - “How I wish today that you of all people (Jews) would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. 43 Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side. 44 They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not recognize it when God visited you.”

At the Jerusalem Council. All the apostles were present include the Apostle Paul and all agreed the Gentiles would not be required to do any of the Mosaic laws, including feasts.

Acts 15:19-21 - “And so my judgment is that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from eating food offered to idols, from sexual immorality, from eating the meat of strangled animals, and from consuming blood.

The New Covenant Jesus Christ was REJECTED by the unbelieving Jews in Jersualem-Judea in the days of Apostle Paul. The Jews still followed the old covenant law in the day of the early Christian Church in Jerusalem. And many of those old covenant laws involved laws ENFORCED by the Jewish government. Thus the early Christian Church at Jerusalem in those days of the Apostles were FORCED to keep those old covenant feast days and sabbaths. And even to this day in Jerusalem and the state of Israel, the unbelieving Jews PERSECUTE Christians living there because they do NOT observe the old covenant ways.

And that... is your ERROR. Under The New Covenant those in Christ ARE NOT HELD to those old covenant laws by the UNBELIEVING Jews. That is specifically what Apostle Paul was speaking about in Colossians 2...

Jesus says in (Mat.5:17-19) (v.17) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. (v.18) For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (v.19) Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus came to fulfill, to fill to the full (Gk. plereo). He fulfilled many prophecies - but not all. There are many in the Book of Revelation still to be fulfilled. There is still some in the Old Testament that hasn’t been fulfilled. Jesus at His first coming came to fulfilled that which was written for Him to fulfill at His first coming. He has NOT fulfilled everything that was written for Him to do. And He kept all of the Law. When the bible speaks of laws we no longer have to keep, it is speaking of the animal sacrificial laws and Priesthood laws. These animal sacrificial laws were a school master pointing us to the fact that Jesus would be sacrificed for our sins. Since Jesus died we are no longer under a school master, (required to offer up bulls and goats for our sins).

Now we must believe (have faith) Jesus died for us (Hebrews 10:4,9-10) 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 9 then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

This doesn't mean we don't have to obey God's moral laws of conduct. That would be like a man getting paroled from prison and then ignoring the same laws that sent him to prison in the first place. Jesus only died once, so if we willingly break God's law, after accepting Jesus, our reward will be eternal damnation (Hebrews 10:26-27) 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

The point that is not understood is that we all have sin, but until Jesus came, there was no way of getting out from under your sins. So God institute a Priesthood and laws that went with the priesthood to control the sinning, and so the Lord use animal Sacrificial laws, even though it could not remove sins.

When Jesus died on the cross that was the end of the first covenant, which consisted of the blood of animals and the keeping of God’s commandments. And his death also brought in the second covenant, which consist of the blood of Jesus and the keeping of God’s commandments.

Let us avoid this at all costs, seeking a better reward. Jesus will return real soon And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (Revelation 22:12).

If you are Jewish, which I assume you are, and you still want to keep God's Feast days per the 'old covenant' (minus sacrifices), then fine; go to. Nothing wrong with that.

But do NOT JUDGE others who DO NOT KEEP those feast days and sabbaths per the 'old covenant'. Judging against Christians, claiming they are following paganism by NOT keeping the law like orthodox Jews desire to do, is a SIN against The Father and His Son, ESPECIALLY when you TRY and wrongly attach law keeping as a requirement of Christ's Salvation!

In Leviticus, 23rd Chapter the Sabbath day and the High Holy Days which begin I believe on the new moon. Are the feast of the Lord's. These days are to be observe in their season. In Colossians 2:16-17, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. These feast days are the plans of God, they represent the future, with example from the past. All Holy Days are not to eat or drink, such as the atonement, but still to be observe. So this is actually what a person would say to someone who do not keep these feast day of the Lord, if they were judging them on those High and Holy Sabbath days, they were keeping. They would quoted Colossians 2: 16-17. So if you keep the first day of the week, Sunday, Easter and Christmas Paganism, then it makes no sense to use this verse. You cannot worship other days and God’s, that’s not written in the Bible to do, and then use the Bible to justify it. So if you keep another day thats not written in the Bible, then you are doing something on your own, thus it would really be contradictorily.


The Apostle Paul and other Apostles didn’t do away with the Lord’s feasts. To the contrary, they knew the importance of these days and continued to observe them, even after Jesus was resurrected. Paul said, “...I must by all means keep this feast...” (Acts 18:21) and it is also written, “And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread...” (Acts 20: 6). Obviously Paul understood what a lot of people don’t understand today, and that is The Feast of Unleavened Bread is to be observed “by an ordinance forever” (Exodus 12:17). This observance is so important to God; he issued it with the death penalty if ignored. “...for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel” (Exodus 12:15).

Now let's go all the way to the future in Jesus kingdom on earth and see the last feast we will have to keep, in the thousand year millennium period. Let's go into Zechariah 14: 1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. 16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. 18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. Again, the lord shows seriousness of his feast.

Jesus says in (Mat.5:17-19) (v.17) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. (v.18) For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (v.19) Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus came to fulfill, to fill to the full (Gk. plereo). He fulfilled many prophecies - but not all. There are many in the Book of Revelation still to be fulfilled. There is still some in the Old Testament that hasn’t been fulfilled. Jesus at His first coming came to fulfilled that which was written for Him to fulfill at His first coming. He has NOT fulfilled everything that was written for Him to do. And He kept all of the Law. When the bible speaks of laws we no longer have to keep, it is speaking of the animal sacrificial laws and Priesthood laws. These animal sacrificial laws were a school master pointing us to the fact that Jesus would be sacrificed for our sins. Since Jesus died we are no longer under a school master, (required to offer up bulls and goats for our sins).

Now we must believe (have faith) Jesus died for us (Hebrews 10:4,9-10) 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 9 then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

This doesn't mean we don't have to obey God's moral laws of conduct. That would be like a man getting paroled from prison and then ignoring the same laws that sent him to prison in the first place. Jesus only died once, so if we willingly break God's law, after accepting Jesus, our reward will be eternal damnation (Hebrews 10:26-27) 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

The point that is not understood is that we all have sin, but until Jesus came, there was no way of getting out from under your sins. So God institute a Priesthood and laws that went with the priesthood to control the sinning, and so the Lord use animal Sacrificial laws, even though it could not remove sins.

When Jesus died on the cross that was the end of the first covenant, which consisted of the blood of animals and the keeping of God’s commandments. And his death also brought in the second covenant, which consist of the blood of Jesus and the keeping of God’s commandments.

Let us avoid this at all costs, seeking a better reward. Jesus will return real soon And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (Revelation 22:12).

The Feast of Unleavened Bread, which was formally introduced to the children of Israel upon their departure from Egypt, was rooted in a message from God going back to the beginning of time. That message, which was given to Adam, is simply “eating the wrong stuff will kill you”. (Here we are speaking about spiritual eating; however, God does have a physical dietary law, which is important as well.) And no we are not talking about eating an apple. We are commanded by God to abstain from leavening and to eat unleavened bread for seven days every spring, at the beginning of God’s year cycle (immediately after the Passover…Exodus 12:13-15). God is not a vain God and he is not in the business of just giving us something to do to pass time. Therefore, we should realize that this observance has great significance, even as it pertains to our salvation. By observing this feast we acknowledge our abstinence from sinful ways (leavening) and show our commitment to true worship (unleavened) of God. We all must reach this crossroad in our life, just as Israel reached it, after leaving Egypt. They immediately ate only unleavened bread (Exodus 12:39) signifying the beginning of their new walk with God.

Notice that this observance came on the heels of Israel’s redemption by the blood of the Passover lamb. Well, Jesus is the Passover lamb and he died on this very day (the Passover…Matthew 26:1,2). Either this was quite a coincidence or God is revealing his perfect plan to us. After we come under the blood of Jesus, by baptism, we must be committed to walking with him in truth (unleavened bread), leaving behind all falsehood (leavening). Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth” (I Corinthians 5:7,8).

Oh’ what a wonderful God we serve, who after he redeems us, tells us how the redeemed must walk to get life. Praise God! Many people believe that this feast along with God’s other Holy Days have been done away with. Why would God do away with his Perfect plan? Only Satan would promote such teaching, as he did with Adam and Eve after God had given them specific instructions. Many attempt to make this commandment too hard to fulfill, but how hard is it to change the bread you eat for one week? If we can buy a tree, haul it home, set it up and decorate it, which God never commanded, surely we can keep this feast, which he did command.

Many people who choose to ignore this feast should reexamine their teaching. Unfortunately, the majority of people (many are called but few are chosen) have not learned that there is only one true way to worship God. We leave you with the same warning Jesus gave to his Apostles, “...Take heed and beware of the leaven (doctrine) of the Pharisees and Sadducees” (Matthew 16:6, 12). Observing this great feast is a sign that you are worshipping the true God correctly. Praise God! Remember Jesus says in Hebrews 13: 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Leaven is sin and we know that Paul says in Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Now take a look at (1John: 1:10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. According to bible you can’t be living a sinless life, because if you make such a statement, you just lied.

Also Paul says in (Rom. 5:13) (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. If there is no law, there is no sin!

Jesus told the Pharisees He was removing the Kingdom of God from them. This includes feasts.

Matthew 21:43 - I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.

Jesus said the temple would be destroyed and also destroys the Mosaic law and feasts and sacrifices as a way to forgive sins, Jesus is the High Priest now.

Luke 19:42-44 - “How I wish today that you of all people (Jews) would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. 43 Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side. 44 They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not recognize it when God visited you.”

At the Jerusalem Council. All the apostles were present include the Apostle Paul and all agreed the Gentiles would not be required to do any of the Mosaic laws, including feasts.
