But think about it (I can't believe we're having to have this elementary discussion), if a flat earth spun--yes--one would jump off a cliff and go sideways, or open your door on one side of your house and it would stay open, but on the other side it would slam shut.

What do you expect someone to think when they write a complex message containing many concepts, including an open question, and you reply with "No..."?
Also, I didn't question what causes gravity in that post.
My point was if mass pulls things in, why aren't things pulled into cliffs during free fall near cliffs? If the cliff mass is closer than the ground, it should produce observable results and work to pull us in, even if on a miniscule level. What do you think?
