Let me ask you this .
does your LORD and HIS SPIRIT
agree with investigative judgement of ELLEN WHITE .
verily verily i say unto t hee , even the most blasphemous pope and popes to sit the throne
can speak truths at times .
THERE is good reason i just typed this .
Is Brakelite SDA? I often don't remember what people are affiliated with, my memory is not what it used to be, so I am often only responding to individual posts apart from a larger context.

I've seen this happen numerous times...talking with others about something and then the same subject comes up again immediately somewhere else. Sometimes it is the Lord confirming or emphasizing a point, or just a kind of "natural" consequence of being on the same "wavelength" concerning it. Well, whether coincidence in this case or not, I rejoice in the Lord because I think we were both edified on the point we were talking about.

Today, having a data base in one's mind of reading scripture is very popular.

However, we can only receive the TRUTH of Scripture as God imparts to us when we have faith in His word.

Thus it is written: "always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Oil for our lamps, amen, otherwise it isn't shedding much light.

Amen, excellent word, Halleluyah indeed!

To my knowledge that command was spoken "to the Jew first" at Sinai, Abraham's sons according to the flesh (who were "ensamples" to the church that was to come).

And may I just make mention that Abraham was called and chosen by God....he didn't decide or choose on his own to leave his world behind to follow a God he didn't know. But God revealed Himself to Abraham and called him out, and that is the pattern for born again believers.
Good Morning

Here it is = Genesis 4:6-7

So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
7If you do well, will you not be accepted?
And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

God is speaking to Cain in relation to his immediate neighbor, which is his own brother Abel.

How does that work?
The Holy Scriptures for Timothy was the OT.
How does that "make one wise UNTO salvation through FAITH IN CHRIST." ???
Has it not been said
That torah actually DOES POINT to CHRIST .
its all over the OT about JESUS . I mean all over the place , if one has but the eyes to see it .

Today, we are no longer under the Tutor of the Law - HalleluYAH

@St. SteVen

Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, 2but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. 3Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. 4But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

6And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” 7Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

That is right my friend .
But be on gaurd one and all . For we do not make VOID the law through grace .
In other words , God will never be in the business of supporting sins and calling it grace .
So enjoy the liberty my friends
but always remember use not LIBERTY as an occasion to serve the ..................FLESH .
Now to the trenches my friend . And let all that has breath praise the glorious LORD

DARN SURE DO DENY THE TRUTH
Darn sure does allow sin , rebellion , a lie and lies UNTO THIS PEOPLE .

I know this generation has either never known or has forgotten something .
I mean they always hollering GOD IS LOVE .
THIS IS TRUE , GOD IS LOVE .
But wanna know what they forgot .
HIS LOVE PUTS HIM FIRST UPON OUR HEARTS BEFORE ALL OTHERS .
AND OOPSY I AINT SEEING IT IN THIS CHURCH AGE .
Aint that something . I aint the monster david . I simply have come TO POINT TO GOD , TO CHRIST
and to remind all ITS TIME WE PUT HIM FIRST , THEN love your neighbor as yourself
BUT IF WE TRULY PUT HIM FIRST
WE HAD NOT OMITTED HIS WORDS of TRUTH .
Because GOD IS TRUTH , CHRIST IS TRUTH , THE SPIRIT IS TRUTH
AND believe me when i say THE WORDS OF GOD ARE T RUTH .
TO reject HIS WORDS is TO REJECT HIM . and this generation better figure that out fast .

Jesus also said that judas would be punished for his actions. Jesus said woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man, etc, matthew 26.24. We should love Judas but also be committed to allowing God to deal with haters. God doesnt execute justice immediately. He is paitent. But there is spiritual growth in waiting and dealing with haters with an open heart.

Does that mean that you can't love Judas?

The challenge in Christianity is not to love Jesus, it's to love Judas.

"Say what?"
"Love Judas? We hate Judas!"
"He betrayed our Lord! Why would we love Judas?"

Perhaps Jesus understood this better than we do.
As indicated in this scripture.

John 13:26-28 NIV
Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I will give
this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.”
Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
27 As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him.
So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.”
28 But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him.

Did Jesus love Judas?
If Jesus loved Judas, shouldn't we?

"To love a betrayer, a person who seeks your actual harm and
who slanders you, is a part of our faith (Luke 6:22; 1 Peter 4:4). It literally is
the story of Jesus Christ. Also a part of our faith is the separation between Holy and unholy,
as was stated previously, between friend and foes, which will lead to separation
even amongst family (Luke 12:53). Loving a person who seeks to harm us lays hot coals
on the heads of the betrayer (Romans 12:20), but it also is most Christ like
when done so. Love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8) and it creates a pathway
for redemption (2 Corinthians 5:16-21) as we see people as more than just
flesh and blood, we see them as souls to be redeemed." Source

allow a judas to remain in sin and unbeleif , OH ITS NOT LOVING THEM at all st steven .
Something our seeker friendly ecumencial ones Are in deadly danger of . They LOVE not GOD , CHRIST , the brethren
or their enemies . ALL they do is allow SIN and unbeleif to remain upon them . And call that LOVE and loving .
THEN they turn around and yell hater to the true brethren who do and would correct sin and error and unbeleif .
