[2Thesalonians 3:4 KJV] "And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you."..........Paul is our apostle in the church in this dispensation, the body of Christ. It is Paul who establishes church conduct and gives us our commandments............[1Corinthians 14:37 KJV] "If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.".........Our commandments don't originate from Paul, but rather, they are from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Come on, you know he doesn't offer sacrifices. Do you follow the Sermon on the Mount, or do you consider that outside our dispensation?

Jesus' role during His first Advent was to change the process by which redemption for our sins would occur. Daniel 9:24b.
I am not saying we should or can make offerings but you said al the commandments were for us. So they cant all be can they?

I know he doesn't and neither should we. Here is my response to him..................I am not saying we should or can make offerings but you said all the commandments were for us. So they cant all be can they?

The sermon on the mount is not directed to us it was teaching Israel the attributes of believing Israel exhibited in the millennial kingdom.
The kingdom of heaven is the prophetic kingdom on earth promised Israel and is what the sermon on the mount is about...........[Mat 5:3 KJV] "Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

I didn't say all. I said all of the ten commandments since they were all repeated in the NT. We are not commanded to sacrifice animals....just our bodies!

Ro 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

This is dangerous error. You cannot have that position and be a disciple of Jesus. Here is what Jesus said about teaching the nations his commandments

Mt 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen
.

Where is your scripture that tells us to ignore them? What scriptural justification do you have? Or is that something some man made up?

Yes, all of the commandments still apply but the process by which we offer up our sacrifices and receive redemption has been changed by Christs Death on the Cross.

In Matt 13:52 which I would paraphrase in this manner: -

52 Then He said to them, “Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things renewed and from ancient times/ from the time of Adam.”

This is the Salvation Covenant by which mankind will be redeemed through the ages. During the time from Adam to Christ's death on the cross, it required the sacrifices of animal to be sacrificed for people to receive forgiveness for their sins.

From the time of Christ's sacrifice on the cross no more blood sacrifices have been needed to receive redemption from our sins against God and His statutes and commandments.

When Christ taught, during His first advent, He refreshed the commandments and statutes for us to follow.

Because Christians want to distance themselves from the Israelites, we require that our redemption will be through a "Brand new" covenant" which Christ did not establish a brand-new covenant but rather He modified the process by which all will receive forgiveness and redemption. This is why Paul, wrote that there will no longer be Jew or gentile, or rich people or slaves in Heaven, we will all be redeemed through the same process which Christ brought in reality on the Cross.

Shalom

I was responding to what Jay Ross said
I said all of the ten commandments since they were all repeated in the NT
I dont know what you mean by the NT, If you are including Paul in saying the ten are repeated he didnt include the sabbath so technically not all
This is dangerous error.
Here is the scripture to evaluate who the sermon on the mount was directed to

[Mat 5:5 KJV] "Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Believing Israe; will inherit the earth................[Rev 5:10 KJV] "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."...........only be;ieving Israel is said to be priests...............[Exo 19:5 KJV] "Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine:"
[Exo 19:6 KJV] "And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel."
This passage in Matthew was given to the disciples not us. They were to teach all Jesus commanded in the millennial kingdom on earth. Israel will be priests in the kingdom and lead the Gentiles to the Lord

Yes...he told them to teach ALL nations ALL things that he commanded. This disputes any errant claim that the teachings of Jesus were only for Israel. Jesus commanded them to teach his commandments to ALL nations. Read it carefully. There is no mention of a millennial kingdom.

Mt 28:18-20

So you are still saying you are obeying the OT sacrifices but in a new way........then you arent obeying the OT commands for offerings

Jesus gave several "commissions" you dont have to accept me saying it was for the kingdom
Fact is they didnt go out to teach the nations. They decided to let Paul go to the heathen in Galatians 2:9

What offerings are you speaking of?

Since you have not met me face to face, you have no understanding of how I worship God or follow His commandments.

Doug, do you/we tithe around 23.3% of our respective incomes?
Do you/we feed the poor who you rub shoulders with every day?
Do you/we clothe the naked?
Do you/we support the widows and orphans?
Do you/we visit those in prison.
Do you/we lift the heavy burdens off of those near us?
Do you or I live our lives as a worthy sacrifice unto God?

Do we both follow the promptings of the Lord to bless those around us with our giving or time?

Doug, would you be prepared to lose your life for the sake of your relationship with God/Christ?

Doug do you or I go away and sin no more after receiving our redemption?

Doug, I have not sort to establish a list of what I should or should not do by which I will be saved

If we Love God/Christ then we will take up our own cross and follow Him.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and your neighbor as yourself. Those two are a summary of everything.
