Grace does save us . Grace does change us , And grace never tells us sin does not matter .
IN fact this is what the grace of GOD does teach us
TO DENY all ungodliness and wordly lusts and be living righteously ,and godly in this world
hasteing unto the coming of the great KING and GLORIOUS GOD , THE CHRIST OF GOD ALL MI GHTY
upon whom we BELEIVED . TO the trenches one and to the trenches all .
We got A WHORE that has invaded almost every church known to man with her cup of fornicational
love and ecuminal int erfatih of anti christ . Expose hos , never sit with them and make deals .

You’re not responding to anything I actually said. Nothing in your post addresses the point being discussed. I corrected a claim that “sin is no longer an issue” for the saved because Scripture says sin always matters. That was the topic. You shifted into things no one here mentioned.

Scripture warns about this kind of response. “He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame unto him” ~Proverbs 18:13. You are speaking to issues that were never raised. I never defended ecumenical unity. I never excused sin. I never supported compromise. You are accusing me of things I did not say and were not part of this conversation.

If you want to contribute, stay with the Scripture being discussed. Hebrews 10 is the topic. Sin and grace are the topic. Nothing in my post defended error, and nothing in your reply addresses the actual subject. Please deal with what was written, not with things imagined.
This is proof of how easy it can be for some to totally misunderstand .
I WAS in TOTAL AGREEMENT with YOUR POST
and somehow you saw that as an attack .

It looks like we were actually talking about two different things without realizing it. I was dealing specifically with Hebrews 10 and the claim that “sin is no longer an issue for the saved.” That was the only point I was addressing. Your reply shifted into ecumenism, apostasy, and the false church system, which I never mentioned. So it came across like we were responding to two separate subjects.

If your intention was simply to agree that sin still matters and Hebrews 10 makes that clear, then we’re on the same page.

Dont ya know that whom ye yield yourselves servants to OBEY is whose servants YOU ARE .
whether of sin unto death or of obediance unto righteousness .
MANY LOVE SIN and yet still use the name OF JESUS to do as they will and as they please .
THEY WILL WAIL loudest of all on the day of the LORD . F OR not only did they do evil
THEY USED THE NAME OF GOD ALL MIGHTY TO DO and TO JUSTIFY it .
pretty scary huh . Many are now in lo ve also with a lie . a fat and broad and judge not
correct not sin and unbeleif LIE they think is LOVE and is of GOD . man satan sure can wear the wool
and so too can his mins tirs who did nothing for the sheep but only preached whatever tickled their ears
TO KEEP THEM and TO gain n umbers and all to KEEP THE MONEY FLOWING IN . this people is blind
and sadly say we see . T hings have not been , and darn sure aint looking GOOD AT ALL for this people .

What is a willful sin anyway?

A definition would be helpful.

How can a born again willfully sin?

1Joh 3:9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
1John 3:9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.

It may go deeper than that, even for a born again, allow me to make a confession.

James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

How can it be a born again living 1 john 3:9 started to watch porn so now and then, even together with his wife some 25-30 years ago. Instinctively I knew it was wrong but reasoned since I am happily married and never would commit adultery it was kind of okay. And yet every time after it felt wrong. It was until someone put Matt 5:27-28 under my nose.

Matt 5:27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
Matt 5:28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

And I repented, no more porn, no more watching sex scenes in movies or other media.

Still, before I repented, instead of listening to my conscience I kept watching porn several times, the power of the sinful flesh (James 1:14:15), even as I considered myself as a born again.

How is that somehow not willfully (deliberate) sinning?

I wonder.

The passage in 1 john 3:9 isn't saying a born-again can never sin. There is a misconception on that verse. People misinterpret it because they aren't looking or examining the text line upon line, precept upon precept. Look at the verses including 1 John 3:4-8 and 10. Notice the parts that say abide in him. It ties in with John 15:1-6. Where Jesus says to abide in him to receive his goodness. Those who don't abide in him will be cast forth as a branch and wither, and cast into the fire to be burned. Romans 11:17-22 follows up on this and talks about the branches being cut off.

You have to be a doer of the word and do righteousness. They that does righteousness are born of him - 1 John 2:29.

The spirit is warring with the flesh. Chapter 5 of Galatians talks about this. Why you still sin. The book of Corinthians and Colossians also talk about why you still sin and dealing with the flesh.

ou are taking this verse out of context! this is about the Hebrews who were on teh cusp of salvation. The whole book shows that it is written to those who may or may not have made a real profession of fatih.

When a person receives jesus as Savior- all their sins are forgiven! Not just past sins, but futre sins as well. The old sinful man is delcared dead by God and we are a new creture that will conform to the image of Jesus.

Sin is no longer an issue. That is not a license to sin1 We do not need a license to sin, we do that by our old man. We are notw in the process of being sanctified!
Sin does not matter as afar as salvation is concerned.

Yes sin matters. the wages of sin is death. but once someone is saved- all of their sins have been frogiven- that includes future sins. this is not a license to sin, but a license to live righteously.

But make no mistakes. God has perfected forever, those who are being sanctified! Our sin s debt has been paid in full!

Oh you're quite wrong. The bible says in Job 13:16 that a hypocrite shall not come before God. Are you putting off the old man like the book of Ephesians says?

Are you doing what James 4:8 says? To draw nigh to God and cleanse your hands. Isaiah 1:16-18 also goes into this.

If you continue in God's words you are a disciple indeed and his truth will make you free from bondage - John 8:31-32. Colossians 1:22-23 follows this up. Notice the part that says to be not moved away. In Galatians 5:1 it says to be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

“We are not of those who draw back unto perdition, but of them that believe to the saving of the soul” (Hebrews 10:39).

Look around the church today. The lights are bright. The music is loud. The crowds are large, but the spiritual power is fading. Conviction has been exchanged for comfort, holiness for hype, and truth for trends. People want a quick inspiration without a life-changing transformation. They want to feel close to God while living far from Him. Yet Hebrews 10 speaks right into our generation’s heart: God doesn’t call us to comfort; He calls us to commitment.

“Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin” (Hebrews 10:18). That’s the foundation, Christ’s sacrifice was once for all. There’s no Plan B, no backup system. Jesus paid it all, and that means there’s no other altar to run to when we sin. The question isn’t whether forgiveness is available, it’s whether we’re living like we’ve actually received it.

The writer urges us, “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith” (Hebrews 10:22). That means sincerity, not show. God isn’t impressed by how well we perform church; He’s looking for hearts that are fully His. Then he says, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for He is faithful that promised” (Hebrews 10:23). When the world shakes, hold steady. When truth is mocked, stand tall. Don’t let the culture loosen your grip on Christ.

But then comes a thunderclap of warning: “If we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment” (Hebrews 10:26–27). In other words, if we treat grace like a game, we’re playing with fire. God’s mercy is deep, but His holiness is real. You can’t trample on the blood of Jesus and expect peace in your soul. That’s not just rebellion, it’s spiritual suicide.

This is the cancer in much of the modern church. We preach a cross that saves but not one that sanctifies. We talk about grace but forget about repentance. We’ve got churches filled with people who know the truth but live like it doesn’t matter. But “it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). God’s hands are either your safety or your sentence, depending on where you stand with His Son.

Yet this passage doesn’t just warn; it also reminds. The writer says, “Call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions” (Hebrews 10:32). Remember when your faith was strong? When you stood firm even when the world mocked you? When you rejoiced to suffer for Christ’s name because you knew you had a better reward waiting? Somewhere along the way, many lost that fire and settled for a faith that doesn’t cost anything. But verse 35 says, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.”

Don’t throw away your confidence when the heat gets turned up. Don’t trade your crown for comfort. You may be tired, but you’re not done. You may be pressed, but you’re not crushed. God didn’t bring you this far to let you fall now. “The just shall live by faith” (Hebrews 10:38). Faith isn’t just believing once, it’s believing still. It’s trusting when it hurts. It’s holding on when everything says let go.

So, child of God, stand firm. The world is changing, but the Word has not. The hour is dark, but our hope is alive. Don’t shrink back, don’t sell out, and don’t silence your witness. Jesus paid for more than Sunday religion, He paid for your life. Live it boldly. Because when it’s all said and done, it won’t be the crowd that matters, but the cross.
Amen.

Why is this a difficult thing to do, to continue in God's words?
