The application of OSAS to the living is incorrect. Eternal Security is not OSAS; but it is Calvin's doctrine.
No matter how you slice it - OSAS or Eternal Security or whatever you want to call it – is a false and unbiblical doctrine.
You mean like giving it a special favor with R-1 visas?
You can’t be this dense.

HOW does an R-1 Visa force the establishment of a state religion on anybody?
HOW does it restrict anybody from freely practicing their religion??

I’m saying being a Sola Scripturist is a self-defeating proposition because Scripture puts Sacred Tradition on EQUAL footing with itself (2 Thess. 2:15)..

That’s NOT what Paul said. THIS is what He said:
2 Thess 2:15
"Stand firm and hold fast to the Traditions you were taught, whether by an ORAL STATEMENT or by a LETTER from us."
Either/Or – not one above the other.
No scripture does not. This is a myth propagated by your clergy to hold power over you.
And NOWHERE does Paul indicate that everything he spoke to them about is written down. Not even everything JESUS taught was written down (John 21:25).
Provide proof for any doctrine Paul taught through oral tradition only.
That’s because YOU don’t do your homework . . .

First of all, priestly celibacy is a disciplineNOT a doctrine. It’s based on verses like Paul’s endorsement of celibacy as a more excellent way of serving the Lord (1 Cor. 7:1-16). This discipline is for priests in the Western Catholic Church. In the Eastern Catholic Churches, married men are allowed to enter the priesthood.

As to this being a “pagan” practice per 1 Titus 4:1-3 – you are WAY off-base. Paul was writing about the Gnostics, who not only forbade marriage, but certain foods as well.

As a Protestant, you are taught to believe this nonsense about Catholics. Now that you know the truth – maybe you won’t spread those falsehoods anymore . . .
Can a married man enter the priesthood in the RCC? I am not talking about the strawman of eastern orthodoxy you presented. Can he enter the priesthood in the Roman Catholic church? A simple "yes" or "no' will suffice. Also, can you eat a nice big porterhouse on a Friday?

I reject any tradition that doesn't come from scripture and you say this is rejecting scripture itself?

Catholics believe their traditions are higher than scripture so they are trying to confuse the slow ones in to becoming catholics.

Also, can you eat a nice big porterhouse on a Friday?

No, catholics have to eat fish on Friday or they think their going to hell

No scripture does not. This is a myth propagated by your clergy to hold power over you.
I just showed you that it DOES.

NOT sure how you can read that an NOT see it . . .

Provide proof for any doctrine Paul taught through oral tradition only.
1 Cor. 10:4 - Paul relies on the ORAL TRADITION of the rock following Moses. It is not recorded in the Old Testament. See Exod. 17:1-17 and Num. 20:2-13.

2 Timothy 3:8 - Paul relies on the ORAL TRADITION when speaking of Pharoah’s magicians, Jannes and Jambres. Their names are not recorded in the Old Testament.

Here’s another one for ya . . .
Matt 23:2 - Jesus relies on the ORAL TRADITION of acknowledging Moses' seat of authority (which passed from Moses to Joshua to the Sanhedrin). This is not recorded in the Old Testament.

I already answered that – nut you weren’t paying attention.
You don’t know what the Catholic Church is, so you call it the “RCC” - which is an ignorant moniker.

The Catholic Church is comprised of over TWENTY Liturgical Rites, whose differences are largely cultural, not doctrinal. The largest is the Latin Rite in the West (Rome). The Eastern Rites include the Melkite, Maronite, Byzantine, Coptic, etc. We are ALL in communion, doctrinally. So, I wasn’t talking about the Eastern Orthodox Churxhes – I was talking about the Eastern Catholic Churches.

As for eating meat on Friday, we abstain from eating meat on Fridays during Lent. Again - this is a disciplineNOT a doctrine. It can be changed at any time in the future.

I know many Catholics and they follow Jesus. We worship and pray together and in my view, salvation doesn't come with your church denomination.
I understand what you are saying. However we have a member who is a former Muslim. So it's very important for that person to come to a Biblical, Scriptural faith. Not merely learn a new set of dogma from the Catholic Church.

WRONG, my intellectually-bankrupt friend . . .

Sacred Tradition is ON PAR with Scripture (2 Thess. 2:15). And since you've already been told this - and the Catechism is available onlinbe for your reference - the fact that you propagate thiss lie makes you morally-bankrypt as well.

Rev. 21:8

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Good luck with that . . .

No, catholics have to eat fish on Friday or they think their going to hell
WRONG again, Einstein . . ..

Catholics aren't required to eat fisn or anything else on Fridays.

Ummm, it was the Catholic Church who gave the NT Canon of Scripture to the world with the gudance of the Holy Spirit and and preserved it over the centuries. You wouldn't even HAVE a Bible ig not forthe Church.

They don't teach you that in your anti-Catholic congregations . . .

I get Meals on Wheels which is run by the Sisters here in Los Angeles. They always only serve fish on Fridays. And when I lived amongst Catholics elsewhere, they only ate fish on Fridays.

Btw...

29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:29-32

This is why the Scriptures are more important than just Catholic dogma.

They served fish - they're not "required" to eat fish.
Fish is sipoly a meat-substitue. You don't HSVE to eat fish . . .

And where was your concern over the filthy LIES I was responding to from @Big Boy Johnson
?
Are those "okay" as long as tgey're
anti-Catholic?

They go hand-in-hand - not against each other . . .

Matt 16:16-19, Matt. 18:15-18
Amen, I say to you, WHATEVER YOU BIND on earth shall be bound in heaven, and WHATEVER YOU LOOSE on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Luke 10:16
Whoever listens to YOU listens to ME. Whoever rejects YOU rejects ME. And whoever rejects ME rejects the ONE who sent ME."

What an ignorant statement . . .

Secondly, "Roman" Catholics are only ONE of over TWENTY Liturgical Rites that comprise the ONE Catholic Church.

The scriptures expose that which is contrary to the TRUTH .
For the scriptures ARE the INSPIRED TRUTH OF GOD .
And beleive me when i say quite a bit of the dogma of such a place
IS very contrary to the very Words of GOD , of CHRIST , of the apostels and the prophets .
As are many dogmas within the protestant realm .
OH YEAH its bible time in the building .
But many had rather sit and trust in men . Beleive me when i say THAT will be their own destruction .
The call for repentance IS NOW . and the cry COME YE OUT from amongst
has never been more dire . This people IS being deceived
and will continue to only merge together , to find common ground as one people .
And friend IT WONT BE UNDER GOD , it will have been only under he who desires to be AS GOD .
The great peaking hour is upon us all .
The time to choose ye THIS day whom ye shall serve , ITS NOT TOMORROW , ITS RIGHT NOW .
The delusion grows and is taking many captive to the LIE .

I know many Catholics and they follow Jesus.

Actually they do not follow the Jesus of the Bible (the Real Jesus)

They follow a demon that claims to be "jesus" who teaches them to engage in occult activities rather than follow the Teachings of the Real Jesus of the Bible.

Those that think catholics are real Christians are deceived and are ignorant of the teachings of the Lord found in His Word.

Not merely learn a new set of dogma from the Catholic Church.

Which is doctrines of demons.

Jesus and His Apostles NEVER taught anybody to pray to Jesus' momma disagree.gif

This is idolatry

Idolaters shall have their part in the lake - Revelation 21:8-21

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. But when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do.For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:6-13)

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God …” (Philippians 4:6)

“Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; and to You the vow shall be performed. O You who hear prayer, to You all flesh will come.” (Psalm 65:1-2)

“… Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” (John 16:23-24)

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” (John 14:13-14)

Real Christians follow the teaching of the Real Jesus and pray to the Father in Jesus' Name. agree.gif
