The bible doesn't tell us that they were kings, or that there were three of them. Also, Matthew tells us that Jesus was anything up to 2 years old when the wise men visited, and he wouldn't have been in the manger:
“Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.” (Mt 2:16 NKJV)

It is a good study.....Tradition and false beliefs can override scripture. Not kings and not wise men and not 3 and not from the orient. The scriptures do not say that the fruit of the tree was an apple. The star of the Nativity was never over the Nativity and it was not a star.
It does not hurt to speculate but it is always good to keep rooted in what the scriptures say and do not say.
