I do appreciate your honesty in that truth is by no means a simple thing to comprehend. What I draw you up toward is a higher use of language, the manner of utility demonstrated in Scripture, a grasp of the Word only attainable through the diligence of empassioned pursuit.

What you desire is the Spirit in truth and sincerity. What you require is direction. At present, as demonstrated by your expressions, you need only additional exposure to truth. The most trustworthy source thereof is the Bible. Draw from any available external reference as needed to bring alignment to every word of Scripture you can hold onto in your heart.

It is only through the storing up of His words in our hearts that we find the fulness of His joy everlasting.

It is my sincere hope to assist anyone genuinely seeking.

We don't need to know everything if we are led by the One who does, as He intended.

Where next? Your conscience is His guidance. Read the Bible and stop sinning. Pursue Him honestly and reverently, with energetic dedication and full devotion and He will be just in His response, because He is called Faithful and True.

Put simply, fear God and seek His name.

What have I said to offend you that you would follow me here to interject in this manner?

I would be delighted to discuss anything with you; any word I've written, any response of mine here (Christianityboard.com) recorded.

I know my God and I absolutely adore Him, which is why I enjoy the practice of His Word in contending for the Faith as commanded through His Son, Jesus Christ.

To reiterate my instruction;
- Read the Bible
- Stop sinning
- Practice reverence for (fear) God
- Seek His name (the one the Psalmists wrote of)

Ah yes, pray. Prayer is speaking truth to God. Do not lie to Him. Do not ever lie to God, that is a very bad idea. So what do you pray about? Whatever is in your mind, just be completely honest about it when you bring it before God for His judgement.

I mean, you are taking every thought captive for Christ, right? Praise befits the upright. God demands sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving and lips free of deceit and lies. A mind filled with the Spirit is free from unclean things and adamantly maintained as such in joyous harmony with the Greatest of all Teachers.

Are these not the things of the spiritual milk I have prior mentioned in quotation of Paul?

Not clear what you are saying but the mystery revealed to Paul was hid in himself until revealed to Paul. It wasn't found anywhere especially not in the prophets of scripture

No, the mystery is the Truth of God's Plan of Salvation, that those in the world, those who are not believers, cannot see because they have not been begotten by the holy Spirit, because it is the Spirit that reveals Truth to his people.

To be begotten of the Holy Spirit as sons (and daughters) of the Most High God.

And what among all that exists does not exist?

You think a god stands in opposition to the Almighty which displays a lack of reverence for His Majesty. Nothing opposes God but delusion. Nothing exists outside of God and all that He has created within Himself.

Whether it's delusion or not, there are those who oppose God. The Scriptures are clear as I pointed out. Satan is the god of this world.

Does anyone living do so in the absence of God? What man alive today conducts his business without the breath of God present to animate his flesh?

All living things exist by the power of God. But one can be alive and yet dead. Jesus said, "let the dead bury the dead", that is in the eyes of God while we live and breathe, we are dead to sin and our trespasses. It is only through Christ that anyone can have true life.

You do not know how God sustains us or you would understand the error of your linguistic applications. Don't take offense to the notice of these mistakes, humble yourself and correct them.

If you want to know the truth, be certain of meaning. Look up the definitions of the words you use to ensure you use them properly. This will teach you much.

Beget means to procreate, to produce, to cause to exist. This is different from create as in to craft or construct. It is a word of God applied exclusively to His action in bringing the Messiah to the world.

You see life and death differently than I. You believe the world is so distinct from the spirit that you would refer to some portion of it as "non-spirit-begotten."

What is present that God has not permitted? What, aside from bad, wrong, evil, or anything negative do we have that is not effectively from God? All good things come from Him.

I say God is all-powerful and that nothing can resist Him. You think a 'satan' character does just this very thing. This is irrational, illogical, and does not align with the truth presented in Scripture because satan, as presented today, is an idol for blame, shifting guilt away from the sinner and onto the scapegoat.

But among people who disregard the fourth commandment and eat pig, why would these place confidence in the Israelite notion of the scapegoat? But the heart of the matter is inaccessible in the face of such delusion.

There is only one God of this world, any and all others are impostors. The only reason you think otherwise is because you have misinterpreted metaphor. Yet I'm sure you don't think wisdom is a literal woman, somehow.

Dead in spirit does not the LORD's absence make. It just means the individual is a sinner and blind to the presence of God Who is ever before him. True life is this life lived in truth. Life starts now, not after death.

Regarding how God sustains us, you will need more reverence to understand. You can't see truth where you have blocked it with faith in lies. If I can't show you the simple things, how can I show you the deep things?

As long as you insist that you know THE truth, you will never recognize the real thing when it is before you. Do I know THE truth? Not all of it, but I do know the One who does. I try to demonstrate this through my love for the Word and every word He gives me.

The mystery is more abundant than ever by virtue of the global awareness of it despite the deepest blindness to plain truth the world has ever known.

The mystery is that man might be united with his Creator and how this comes to be, and any who still consider it so mysterious only say so because they have yet to discover the nature of this truth. To those whom the truth has been revealed, it is our salvation.

The only obstruction to knowing truth is deception chosen for its appeal. In unity with God, one will abhor a lie.

Great question Doug! In context, Paul is talking about the grand adventure of life. One verse will give you great insight to this mystery. Proverbs 16:9 The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps. What does this mean? It's an acknowledgment that we are not in control.

Another OT verse that will help greatly is Isaiah 55:9 my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. It's humbling to know that we cannot even understand what motivates God to do what he does, why he establishes our steps that aren't aligned with our plans. Therein, is the eternal mystery.

I think of my cat who jumps in the tub to signal he wants water. No matter how many times he sees me turn on the faucet, he cannot grasp how what I do results in his needs being met.
