I don`t disregard the Lord`s teachings to the Jews, but see them in their right context.
It was a pointless point for all the Master's teaching is profitable and your stand still makes no sense whatsoever. Like its as redundant a point I've seen in all my time in this forum.

All of which was said to his disciples - his body!

And you mentioned the earth is their reward! Well, that dispels heaven going.
If the disciples were in the Body then why were they asking Jesus when He would restore the kingdom to ISRAEL? `(Acts 1: 6)

And why was Peter trying to get the Gentile believers to act like Jews? (Gal. 2: 11 - 16)

Jesus was talking to Jews under the LAW. We the Body of Christ now under grace are NOT under the Law.

Because the Kingdom will be made up of Jews and Gentiles - I am really surprised you are trying to hold to this fruitless position.

Paul (a Benjamite hmmx1: ) corrected Peter, right? Galatians 2:11

So, Jesus was not teaching the disciples the Gospel? What you are inferring is Jesus who was full of Grace and Truth was not preaching this to the Jews because they were under the Law.

You are not making sense sorry.

The Kingdom of God is made up of all that God made - the third heaven, the Universal heaven and the earth with its atmospheric heaven.

Jesus was confirming to the Jews the promise that they as a nation would receive rulership (kingdom) over the nations of the world. (Dan. 2: 44. 7: 27) That is what the disciples were looking for. And remember Jesus said that they would rule over the 12 tribes of Israel. (Matt. 19: 28)

That was the good news that Jesus was telling the people of Israel.

Then when Jesus, died, rose again, ascended to the Father He was made Head of another group - the Body of Christ. (Eph. 1: 20 - 22) It is to them that Jesus gave the good news that we, the Body of Christ were a new man - not Jew nor gentile, male or female etc. (Eph. 2: 15, Col. 3: 11)

It's a long history Marks! I've known your approach for many years and it sadly has not changed. Maybe that's a sign?
It's a sign that when you discuss things in that way (or rather avoid discussing in that way), I quickly lose interest.

Much love!

I'm curious, what you consider "death", Paul considers "sleep" - I'm left wondering who has faith and who does not?
You can spin yourself in circles putting words into my mouth and then answering them. That is what you are doing here.

Simply stated you think that the life Christ gives to us still ends in death, while I think we continue to live with Christ even though our body dies. You were asking who has faith?

I've seen from your posts to what lengths you will go to support your assertions. I'm not interested.

Much love!

The walk is about endurance and one's ability to "prove all things"...we both know you hold to false teaching...you simply need to own it.

Why can’t you simply own your inference? You’ve stated that you do not “see death” because you believe you go immediately to heaven when you die. Paul, however, teaches an entirely different reality, one grounded in faith, death as a sleep, and life granted through resurrection, not instant translation at death.
Simply stated you think that the life Christ gives to us still ends in death, while I think we continue to live with Christ even though our body dies. You were asking who has faith?
The life Christ gives you is post resurrection not upon death. Are you greater than Christ? He received life upon being raised not upon death.

This is basic teaching Marks - verses you know all to well and yet for some reason you ignore them for your own teaching.

1 Corinthians 15:51–54 We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed… the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed… this mortal must put on immortality.

Notice how Paul deals with those who are alive at Christs coming who will be changed post judgement compared to those who from a sleep be raised to judgement.

John 5:28–29 "The hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life.

Romans 8:11 “He (God) that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

The Power of the Word of God is the same Power which will not only raise you but change your nature from mortal to immortal.

I've seen from your posts to what lengths you will go to support your assertions. I'm not interested.
He must have real conviction Marks!

Sorry, missed this post.

Where do you get this idea of a 3rd Heaven from?
Jesus was confirming to the Jews the promise that they as a nation would receive rulership (kingdom) over the nations of the world. (Dan. 2: 44. 7: 27) That is what the disciples were looking for. And remember Jesus said that they would rule over the 12 tribes of Israel. (Matt. 19: 28)

This is all correct Marilyn, but we are dealing with your statement that Matthew 5-7 is not the Gospel and not teachings for the Body of Christ.

Do you still hold that view?

That was the good news that Jesus was telling the people of Israel.
Correct - the same Good News Peter & Paul would later teach to the Jew first and then the Gentile (i.e jew not greek!).

I'm not sure where you got the idea that Matthew 5-7 is not Christ speaking to his disciples which is the Body of Christ - the audience is irrelevant as the same Gospel was preached to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob long before Christ existed.

Then when Jesus, died, rose again, ascended to the Father He was made Head of another group - the Body of Christ. (Eph. 1: 20 - 22) It is to them that Jesus gave the good news that we, the Body of Christ were a new man - not Jew nor gentile, male or female etc. (Eph. 2: 15, Col. 3: 11)
Correct and the same teachings of Christ toward the Jew was later given to the Gentile (you).

Again, your statement that teachings given to Jews from Christ hold less value or in your inference, "no value" at all compared to the Apostles who gave the exact same principles to the Gentiles.

This is not my misunderstanding but your misrepresentation of your Lords teaching.

You just need to clear it up and move forward.

1. `I know a man....such a one was caught up to the THIRD heaven.` (2 Cor. 12: 2)

2, `All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. `(2 Tim. 3: 16 & 17)

Thus, all scripture is for us to learn from but NOT all ABOUT us. For example. in 1 Cor. 10 we see that the Old Testament has examples for us to learn from, however it is not all about us going through the red sea and wilderness. But we learn lessons of character.

`Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.` (1 Cor. 10: 6)

`Now these things happened to them as examples and they were written for our admonition...` (2 Cor. 10: 11)

3. The good news that Peter and the other disciples preached was -

`Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.` (Acts 2: 36)

1. `I know a man....such a one was caught up to the THIRD heaven.` (2 Cor. 12: 2)

And what of this experience - where do you get your information which you ascribe to this event?

2, `All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. `(2 Tim. 3: 16 & 17)

Correct
`Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.` (1 Cor. 10: 6)

`Now these things happened to them as examples and they were written for our admonition...` (2 Cor. 10: 11)

Correct.

I'm still waiting for you to acknowledge your Lords teaching in Matt 5-7 is for you!
