500 pound bear under man's home near Los Angeles

It's happened again! This bear is huge...can hardly squeeze out from under the home! LOL @Nancy

He just wants a place where he can be safe.

Yes, the problem was the bear was tearing up pipes and ducts under the home. The man had to shut off his gas a couple of weeks ago and was stuck with only cold water!

The man could hear the bear making noises under the home. It moved in about Thanksgiving, maybe earlier!

Our Fish and Wildlife came out for a couple of weeks but couldn't do anything. Finally The Bear League phoned the man and said they could help him. They got rid of the bear in ten minutes! They went under the home and hit him with paintballs.

Aww! Little furry teddy bear .... YIKES!

Teddy has grown and become Grizzly bear . And beleive me when i say
there is no child on earth that would want to cuddle up with that and hear bed time stories .
Let alone no parent on earth that would sit and read a lullable to said child WITH that in its bed .
Lots of furr , and lots of teeth and nails . And our friend seems like
its went from five hundred to probably five hundred and twenty five . ITS only getting BIGGER .

What did they do with the bear after that?

If he cleans himself of the paint ,it can be toxic to his system and hurt or kill him .

They just let him wander off. Some time ago they relocated this bear ten miles away and he came back.

I think they just hit him on the butt to get him out of the crawl space. So I don't think he can reach that area. And paintballs might be non-toxic.

Bear wanders into a reporter's live shot!!! LOL Good video coverage on the bear...she sure is agile.

This one had cubs and scratched a lady walking her dog on the back of her knee. They have caught it and the two cubs...will relocate them or send to a sanctuary. Lady and dog are ok. @Raccoon1010

I'm so glad they didn't euthanize them.
The mama bear was protecting her cubs.
If she meant to be a lethal threat the lady and her dog would be dead.

Here in Los Angeles they don't euthanize animals unless they are definitely a threat.

The home owner (where the bear had her den) was upset that animal control caught her and the cubs. He said the bear and cubs would have moved on in a few weeks.
