Many times in our Christian life we strive and struggle with sin. The enemy uses it as an avenue for self condemnation. We long for peace but our internal struggle prevents it. After all, what is peace with God except surrender? When we stop fighting with God then that's when we find peace. But how do we do this? Can it be be accomplished in our own power? By an exercise of will? Absolutely not. Let's keep this simple word in mind:
Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
It is by God empowering the inner man and changing your desires from selfish pleasure to desiring the will of God. Although many equate grace with mercy, grace is best defined as God's enabling power. A good way to increase it is to humble yourself:
Jas 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Cry out to God in humility and ask him to turn your heart towards him to do his will. We want our name to bring honor to the Lamb. This is one of my favorite Christian songs. I often sing it in my devotion time. It is a song of deliverance.
It's based on this:
Pr 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
I suspect this thread will get buried. However, I trust it finds the ones it is meant for.
Blessings!
