One is our Creator God. The other is SciFi fantasy, and is not at all the same.

You've cherry picked a few things that sound similar, but there is a universe of difference between Jesus Christ and "the borg".

The borg plays on the zombie movie trope. And zombies are subservient to base desires through an infection which destroys the mind. In reality they serve the whims of a higher molevolent intelligence. They are for all intents and purposes already dead, but they still pose a danger to their friends and families. People fear zombies because they see themselves in them.

Consider that Jesus doesn't want his followers to be unwilling. There isn't mutual love in such an arrangement.

Giving your life to Jesus can't be forced by another. It's like the difference between giving a gift to your loved ones vs paying your taxes.

Your heart isn't in the latter. And God said: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." This command wouldn't be fulfilled so one's forced devotion would be for naught.

If that's true why do the administration persist with Christians who's only goal is to do that. What does the Bible say about the deception of the tongue "Who can tame the tongue" You remember what repentance actually entails? It's something you have to remember daily.

The only thing being held over your head is a warning that you don't believe. That is hardly the same thing as being threatened with beheading, or even lesser punitive measures.

What you don't realise is that protecting your personal beliefs is the sole destructive force that is preventing you from peace.
