When that which is perfect comes has nothing to do with the Bible.

It has to do with God Himself, when He comes and dwells among us, and we see Him face to face.
[1 Corinthians 13:10 KJV] "But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away."

Sorry but this is a misinterpretation. THAT is not a person, It doesn't read "when HE which is perfect is come"
"THAT which is in part shall be done away" that which is in part is speaking of the need for prophesying and tongues because the completed Word of God is given

[1 Corinthians 14:34 KJV] "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.".........Women are to keep silence in churches. This verse is saying Women are not to speak in tongues.

[1 Corinthians 12:28 KJV] "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."........This verse says God has set SOME in the church, not ALL, to speak in tongues.

In the following verses only men speak in tongues. There is no verse that attributes speaking in tongues or permits women to speak in tongues..........[1 Corinthians 14:4 KJV] "He that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church."
[1 Corinthians 14:5 KJV] "I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater [is] he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying."
[1 Corinthians 14:13 KJV] "Wherefore let him that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue pray that he may interpret."
[1 Corinthians 14:27 KJV] "If any man speak in an [unknown] tongue, [let it be] by two, or at the most [by] three, and [that] by course; and let one interpret."

They were still practicing polygamy, concubinage, and slavery.....Thank God things changed. Women are equal members in Christianity and make fine pastors.

Women being fine pastors doesnt mean they are qualified to do so. There are stipulations for men as well in order to qualify to be a pastor

The first Christian Church on European soil was in Lydia's house.
I am sure she had something to say.

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:21

the completed Word of God is given

What is the completed word of God?

The King James Bible?

The Bible with Apocrypha?

Do you honestly believe a Bible is the completed word of God?

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 3:6

The Holy Spirit is still speaking today.

Worth consideration
I dont think so
I[Acts 3:21 KJV] "Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began."
This is referring to Israel receiving forgiveness as a nation and their restoration............[Acts 3:19 KJV] "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"...................a related verse..........[Malachi 3:3 KJV] "And he shall sit [as] a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness."

The Bible wasnt given in completed form was it?
It was given over a period of time and during Paul's ministry God was still communicating scripture

I do think that we have the completed Word of God
God is not giving us more scripture
If you want to say the Holy Spirit is speaking today, what did he fail to tell us? do you think he is giving new revelations? Is he only speaking certain things to certain individuals, why not tell all of us? How do you test what is being said? Please tell me just one thing He said today.

I gave verses that show ONLY MEN are to speak in tongues

In the following verses only men speak in tongues. There is no verse that attributes speaking in tongues or permits women to speak in tongues..........[1 Corinthians 14:4 KJV] "He that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church."

[1 Corinthians 14:27 KJV] "If any man speak in an [unknown] tongue, [let it be] by two, or at the most [by] three, and [that] by course; and let one interpret."
You've caught me there red handed and i surrender Mr Dough!

i take my hat off for you, and am sorry, thought you were asleep, but seems you're wide awake, my bad.

The scripture says to keep silence which means NO TALKING
You've got a very strong point there Mr Dough!

But how can a women 'prophesy' (ch.11) that which 'edifies' the church (ch.14), in 'silent'??

1 Corinthians 14:
3 But he that 'prophesieth speaketh unto men' to 'edification', and 'exhortation', and 'comfort'.
4. He that 'speaketh' in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he 'that prophesieth edifieth the church'.
5. ................................................. he that 'speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying'.
6. Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall 'speak to you' either by revelation, or by knowledge, or 'by prophesying', or by doctrine?

Prophesy 'speak out unto the church' that the church may receive edification, the point here.

Therefore when a women prophesy equally with a man who prophesy (ch.11), 'they speak out that the church may receive edifying'

Paul did not allow women to teach in the church because if a teacher delivered a wrong interpretation, they would be severely punished. Paul's intention was merely to protect women.

I said tongues would cease as does Paul............[1 Corinthians 13:8 KJV] "Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away."
Would you care to comment on scripture?
In context to what Paul is referring, 'tongues will not cease if it is 'equally' met with 'charity'.

Paul did not allow women to teach in the church because if a teacher delivered a wrong interpretation, they would be severely punished. Paul's intention was merely to protect women.
Yet Jesus Christ through Paul His 'instrument', allowed women to 'pray' and 'prophesy' equally with men, according to ch. 11

Elder Bishops and deacons are men, and they will decide whether the woman is 'competent' to 'pray' and 'prophesy' for or to the congregation.

Basically women are to be 'silent' is referring to others in the church who are not called to serve and are audience.

Even in our church today women are more vocal than man, even in a good way, and Sunday class teachers are mostly women.

The church elder even ask, where are all the men?

And a sister answered that they will eventually come sooner or later.

Even Biblically believer elderly widows are not to remarry, but are to mentor children, especially younger women, to the ways of the Lord.

I thought more and the same problem exists. Acts 3 is still talking about a person, Jesus is being sent. In 1 Corinthians THAT which is perfect is come is not referring to a person

Acts 3:19-21

The restoration of all things occurs when Jesus Christ comes from heaven.

For then we will see Him face to face.

  • For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face.

We won’t see him face to face until He comes back from heaven. He will restore all things.

But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 1 Corinthians 13:10-12

We have the Bible now.

Is everything perfect?

‘Can everything be perfect without Jesus Christ returning and restoring all things?

[Titus 2:4 KJV] "That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,"

[Philippians 4:3 KJV] "And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and [with] other my fellowlabourers, whose names [are] in the book of life."

Women can teach young women and labour in the gospel
