Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
I'm not a Charismatic nor Pentecostal or anything like that. Yet the text above says what it says. Do all the ones meant above in that passage who experience any of these things need to repent as well?
Mat 24:24
(24) For there shall
arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew
great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mat 24:29-30
(29)
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the
sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
(30)
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
The signs
are spiritual, they are the
same signs that were taking place when Christ came the first time, as the Sun was turned into blood and the light was extinguished. Not the literal, physical sun and moon, the light bearers. Consider the verses and context wisely:
Joel 3:15-16
- "The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
- The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel."
The end result was that the Lord cleansed the blood of people that He had not cleansed (Gentiles), and the New Testament church was established. The sun, moon, and stars do not literally/physically withdraw their shining or fall from the heavens; this all indicated the
darkness in apostasy that was in Israel as the messengers of God fell away from Him, and the Kingdom was taken (Matthew 21:42-43) from them. It is God's definition of signs, not the false teachers' definition. Joel 3:15-16 was talking about the fall of Old Testament congregation which Peter confirmed:

- "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
- And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
- And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
- And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
- The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
- And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Did the sun and the moon literally/physically turn into blood at Pentecost? And the stars literally falling? The answer, of course, is NO! And yet this was the fulfillment of the signs prophesied in Joel of the
fall of the Old Testament congregation. After the pouring of the Holy Spirit, the "last days" encompass the
WHOLE New Testament period, and was established in Christ's millennial Kingdom reign, and signified by the sign wonders at Pentecost. That is when the Mountain (kingdom) of the Lord's house was established over all kingdoms, and the nations or Gentiles began to flow into it. This is wherein the King or ruler of this Kingdom brought peace to the whole earth (as opposed to primarily Israel) and established judgment within the nations. This is how He ended their warfare. It is all pointing to the establishment of Christ's millennial kingdom reign, which is now, where we have the Holy Spirit to prophesy, see the visions of the gospel. It is not about how you can prophecy the future like you try to do.
LIKEWISE, in the New Testament, after the salvation testimony of Two Witnesses is finished, the unfaithful church falls away greatly from God in this same way right prior to the Second Coming, these s
ame signs show themselves.
Mat 24:29-30

These verses describe the sun being darkened, the moon no longer giving her light, and the stars falling from heaven, right before the Second Coming.
These are signs of apostasy of the church. This is the
falling away. This is
God’s judgment upon the Church—the collapse of what is spiritually called
Babylon. Selah.
This passage is
not teaching a literal darkening of the physical sun or moon, nor literal stars crashing down to earth. That interpretation ignores the consistent symbolic language of Scripture. To read it that way is to miss the point entirely.
The true sign being emphasized is the
overwhelming rise of false prophets and deception, so powerful that—if it were possible—it would deceive even the elect. But by the grace of God,
it is not possible. They are the signs!
Therefore, you misunderstood the text according to the CONTEXT. This passage has nothing to do with personal “experiences” or speculative, sensational predictions such as solar storms, mushroom clouds, radiation drifting south by divine direction, so that your state will suffer massive forest fires.
Huh?!
That is not biblical interpretation. That is
imagination of men!
This teaching does
not come from God. Scripture is clear, and on the authority of God’s Word, this kind of nonsense must be rejected—fully and firmly.
