Eve was chosen by satan because she was new and inexperienced...an easy target. She fell for his deception. If Satan had approached Adam there might have been a different outcome. But in successfully separating the woman from God by her disobedience, she would incur the death penalty, but now Adam was faced with a difficult choice......if he refused to accept the fruit from her hand, again a different outcome would have taken place.....so we know what he chose to do.....instead of losing her, he chose to die with her and condemn all of his future offspring to inherit sin and death.
God knew that an equal opposite of his goodness would not benefit humans at all, so he was going to keep it to himself.....not allowing it to touch their lives.....but abuse of free will took humanity on a detour that would change the course of their history. By allowing humans to see for themselves the consequences of their actions, God would provide the greatest object lesson in mankind’s history.....which would also be for the benefit of his angelic family as well, since the first one to rebel was a previously faithful angel who was himself tempted by wanting something he was not entitled to....worship. (James 1:13-15)
This is true...he mainly uses temptation, but he can cause physical harm though, because we see in Job that he was the one who caused Job’s illness. He was the one who took Job’s children from him....but he needed God’s permission.
True...if only they had just obeyed their God....we would never have known evil....in any form....imagine...
I hold hope in what Isaiah foretold....
God promised....
“For look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be called to mind,
Nor will they come up into the heart.. . .
No more will there be an infant from that place who lives but a few days,
Nor an old man who fails to live out his days. . . .
They will build houses and live in them,
And they will plant vineyards and eat their fruitage.
They will not build for someone else to inhabit,
Nor will they plant for others to eat.
For the days of my people will be like the days of a tree,
And the work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full.
They will not toil for nothing,
Nor will they bear children for distress,
Because they are the offspring made up of those blessed by Jehovah,
And their descendants with them.” (Isa 65)
This experience of life we have all endured, will not leave us with bad memories....once it has accomplished God’s will, he will not allow it to be called to mind, no matter what we have suffered, we will not retain the memory of it.
That sounds good to me.
