Why are you trying to change the subject? Hmm

This is about Hell Fire!
You brought up the parable.
I dont think you have a clue Jack.
The only thing I think you think you know is that BILLIONS of people are gonna burn in hell.
So sad.

Burning in Hell is "hilarious" to you? You have a serious problem!

Amen.

Prove it's a parable. It isn't. Parables do not use literal Biblical people, Abraham, Moses, Lazarus ...

Parables ARE made up example stories to reveal a specific point.

It is Ancient revealing (Jesus would Speak and teach) IN Parables.
It is again reviewed in the NT Jesus Spoke and taught IN Parables.

It is a Clever Way for Jesus… to Speak ONE Sermon / Teaching …To Crowds… mixed with Believers AND non-believers

The “non- Believers will (and DID), walk away saying…eh, THAT Jesus is Just a Story Teller, Speaking in Parables….nothing to consider.

The - BELIEVERS, will hang on Jesus’ EVERY WORD, (regardless of WHAT His speech is Called…
A Story, a Parable, or whatever…

WHY?

Because…look Here…—->
John 14:
[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

A BELIEVER … in any historical Crowd, hearing Jesus, Reading ANY of Jesus’ Words in ink on paper….
Already Believes…
Jesus “IS” the TRUTH.

The TRUTH, can NOT LIE.

It doesn’t matter What a PARABLE is called (a made up story)…

What matters IS WHO IS Speaking…
Every word Jesus Spoke IS TRUE.

Some focus on Trust Jesus IS the Truth and Can Not Lie.

Others focus on the term Parable.

Clever… one Speech…to all…believers and non believers.. complete opposite conclusions… as intended, revealing ONE way Gods Separates. Those with Him and those Without Him.
And Men… can easily acknowledge and understand… WHO among men ARE With or Without God.

Glory to God,

Luke 16 is clearly FACT! Not parable.

Calm.
Luke 16: IS A Continuance of JESUS SPEAKING to His Disciples..

Luke 16:
[1a] [1] And he (Jesus)…said also unto his disciples…

Jesus was speaking… teaching… in PARABLES!

Because it WAS Jesus Speaking, His Entire Speech IS TRUTH, regardless of “WHAT” his speech is called.

OT
Pss 78:
[2] I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

NT
Matt 13:
[3] And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

Matt 22:
[1] And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said…

Mark 4:
[34] But without a parable spake he (JESUS)not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Already told YOU WHY Jesus spoke in Parables.

The disciples ASKED WHY Jesus Spoke in Parables…

Matt. 13:
[10] And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

Here JESUS Says WHY…
Matt 13:
[11] He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

The “YOU” IS established Believers, Jesus IS the Truth, can NOT Lie

The “THEM” IS established NON- Believers, that Jesus is the Truth and Can NOT lie.

Just because satan told you it's a parable doesn't make it true. Satan wants your company in Hell.

Parables are teachings that contain truth and should be received as such.

Those rejecting Jesus' teachings frequently claim we should ignore all teachings Jesus gave thru parables as they claim Jesus was just makin stuff up and telling fake stories that are meaningless.

These are the same people that go around proudly proclaiming "I'm a sinner" so they should be ignored.

Sinners just teach others to follow the devil like they be following the devil.

Where did he send the poor man Lazarus?

To Abraham's bosom which was a temporary holding place for OT saints to wait in until the new birth became available.

Yes parables are true.
They are not literal.

You cannot have it both ways

So you believe man is immortal. Got it.

God created man in His Own Image and breathed the breath of life (eternal spirit) in to man

The spirit of man is in fact eternal which is why the soul will be awake and conscience forever.

It's just a matter of where - either in Heaven with the Lord, or being tormented in hell with the devil and his demons.

Those that actually know the Lord understand and know this.

You cannot have it both ways
Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Well, there went you're whole doctrine of hell.

According to you, Jesus is talking about wheat and tares.

So the soul that sins doesn't die?

Ezk 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

No resurrection of the dead?

Jhn 5:29
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Well, there went you're whole doctrine of hell.

No, they will in fact be burning in hell for all eternity as Jesus said they would be.

It's sad to see people claiming Jesus lied about hell and they think they are Christians.

It's not "my" doctrine of hell... It's Jesus' doctrine and He is the Word of the Living God.

Those claiming Jesus is a liar sadly do so at their own peril

So the soul that sins doesn't die?

It does die and the death the sinner experiences is separation from God for all eternity.

That is spiritual death. It does not mean they cease to exist.

They will be alive and conscious being tormented in the fires of hell for all eternity.

No resurrection of the dead?

Yes, they will be resurrected unto spending eternity in hell separated from God for all eternity.

Yup wheat and tares.
Not people.
Remember, parables are literal according to you.

It's sad to see people claiming Jesus lied about hell and they think they are Christians.
Noise.
It's not "my" doctrine of hell... It's Jesus' doctrine and He is the Word of the Living God.
Your half right.
Those claiming Jesus is a liar sadly do so at their own peril
More noise.
It does die and the death the sinner experiences is separation from God for all eternity.

I disagree, but at least this is worth a conversation.

You said in the trinity thread that the soul, body, and spirit were a trinity and could not be separated.
Could you explain how that works in death?

That is spiritual death. It does not mean they cease to exist.
No, most living, breathing people are spiritually dead.
When the soul dies it is in sheol/hades which is the state of being dead.
Your right though, it does not cease to exist.
Death is like sleep.
We wake and we are judged and we are then resurrected.

They will be alive and conscious being tormented in the fires of hell for all eternity.
No, they will be spiritually dead and concious and being judged through God's wrath. They will learn righteousness and shall be resurrected to life.
Yes, they will be resurrected unto spending eternity in hell separated from God for all eternity.
That is not life.

Yup wheat and tares.
Not people.

You failed to understand that Jesus was saying the wheat are the children of God and the tares are the children of the devil.

So yet again you are on the outside looking in.

That's what the devil is putting in to people's mind as he convinces them Jesus is a liar.

I disagree

Of course you disagree with Jesus.

You establish this frequently. That ends badly but it's your life so you do you!

No, most living, breathing people are spiritually dead.

You would know.
To be carnally minded is death = separated from God

They will learn righteousness and shall be resurrected to life.

That's the demonic teaching of purgatory that satan taught to the catholics.

Jesus and His Apostles never taught this nonsense.

You fail to understand that you just proved my point.
Of course you won't swallow your pride, you'll continue to argue for the sake of it.

Yes I proved you are ignorant of what Jesus was teaching

Of course YOU won't swallow your pride, you'll continue to argue for the sake of it.
Sure, maybe in your nut hut literal wheat and darnel are literal people.

I suppose you think Jesus is a literal Lion or a literal lamb right?

I'll say it again, parables are true but they are not literal.

If you can't understand that, you have no business teaching others what those parables mean.

smile-grin3.gifHilarious!

The point Jesus is making here is that there will be a marked distinction between believers (wheat) and unbelievers (tares) and their eternal destiny.

It's totally hilarious that anybody thinks Jesus is teaching a botany lesson laughing7.gif

You're just trying to punk us and are joking around, right?
