Jesus was tempted in the wilderness , explain how that works with what you said above .

Satan is spirit, there is no indication in the text to prove Satan appeared and spoke to Christ in physical form during the forty days of temptations. Jesus being filled with the Holy Ghost both heard and spoke to the spirit called Satan through the Spirit that filled Him. (see Lu 4:1-13) In the same manner Jesus spoke to the Father in prayer through the Spirit in Him and instructs us to do likewise.

Matthew 6:9 (KJV) After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

I agree, and thank you for the article'

You know that human beings have a spirit, right?

All of mankind are indwelt by spirit of this world, or Spirit of Christ! There are only two types of people upon the earth, those under the power that holds this world in bondage to sin and death, and those under the power of Christ's Spirit that gives eternal life to whosoever has been born again through Him.

It looks like you are very close to agreeing with him that Satan and demons are not real spirit beings who exist separately from humans, but can influence humans. That is not what scripture teaches. In your view that you are describing, Satan is not an individual spirit being who can roam around the earth seeking who he may devour, but you are describing Satan as only existing within human beings and not as an individual being who is separate from human beings.

Satan is spirit and has NOT physical form! How does he roam around the earth seeking whom he may devour if not through his messengers (both human and demonic)?

It's true that king Tyrus was under the influence of evil, however the lamentation is directed to the king, not a fallen angel called Satan.
So, you are going to claim that a human being can be referred to as an anointed cherub created perfect in all his ways on God's holy mountain? You are comfortable taking that position? You shouldn't be. No human being would be described that way.

No, read it more carefully.
Because I read it more carefully than you is the reason why I understand it and you don't.

The lamentation is directed to the king of Tyrus, calling him the anointed cherub and perfect in his ways etc. it is not about the spirit being called Satan, you ASSUME was once an angel of God and became Satan.
It refers to someone who was created perfect as an anointed covering cherub and later sinned. What human being after Adam and Eve besides Jesus has been created perfect in all their ways? None. Scripture does not describe human beings in that way. And cherubims are not human beings.

Exodus 37:9 9 And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

Does that look like a description of human beings to you? Do you think the human king of Tyre had wings?

Ezekiel 28:1-2 (KJV) The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Notice that is referring to the prince of Tyre. That part is talking about the human ruler of Tyre. In contrast to Ezekiel 28:11-19 which talks about the king of Tyre. The human prince of Tyre was influenced by the spiritual King of tyre. Your interpretation forces you to conclude that cherubims are human beings. That is simply not the case and I think you know it.

That doesn't surprise me! Because you also show yourself to be closed minded to anyone posting with another opinion that does not agree with you! I posted the commentary because I have already beat this horse to death, showing how and why I believe Satan was not an angel of God before he became Satan.
Yes, you really seem to be very open minded about this while you repeat your false understanding of Satan over and over again.

Again, no surprise here! Unless the commentary agrees with you, just discard it without showing why you cannot take it seriously!
Do you not read what I say? I'm not here to read commentaries of others who don't post here. Is there something you don't understand about that? I come here to talk to other people who can respond to me.

Prove using the Bible why you believe cherub is a fallen angel that became Satan! Where does Scripture ever speak of Satan being a cherub?
Who else can it be then? It's not a human being. Are you really going to try to argue that a cherub is a human being?

Why would I acknowledge something that cannot be proven from the Word of God? Cherubim angels/fallen? Again, prove cherub/cherubim are angels or were angels of God fallen or otherwise???
This particular cherub is described as having once been created perfect in all his ways and later sinned and fell away. Clearly, it's talking about a fallen cherub. Are you going to try to convince me that cherubims are humans?

Do you know how to read/understand poetic prose, because lamentations are written using poetic prose, not to be taken literally? Imagery and Metaphor: Biblical poetry is rich in vivid imagery and metaphor, which convey deep spiritual truths. So too biblical lamentations are replete with imagery (anointed cherub) and metaphor ("thou wast upon the holy mountain of God;").
So, it looks like you're going with the position that a human being could be described as an anointed cherub created perfect in all their ways. If you're comfortable with that, so be it, but I doubt that you are.

I didn't say he has physical form! Good grief. But, he is able to travel around in some way or else scripture would not say that he goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. And if you read the book of Job you can see that Satan told God that he had been roaming the earth.

The Serpent ? The Tempter !

Jesus was never Tempted at all in fact ! but the Devil himself tryed to tempt even that of Salvation it's self ? so such has no bounds ?

Jesus never defeted Satan. but he did expose Satan, for what Satan truly only is ! and Satan had no hold on Jesus at all in fact !

Remember that Jesus at the time was mans Saviour ? as he had not gone to Heaven yet to become Emmanuel in regards the People of God ! As the God with us ! That becomes ones Lord and Saviour ! = Christ Jesus.

People who are not born again are Carnal ! so they are Lost to this world, that is full of deceptions and delusions in fact !

One one is truly born again, that is the moment that one understands that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour !
So such a one understands that one must abide in Christ Jesus ! That being the number one foremost thing in your life before all else. or one is not Saved !

One does not get Saved ? you become Saved ! for such a one is abiding in Him ! as the Body of Christ Jesus and he as the head their of !

Satan has what is called his messengers = People who are of this world, who love the darkness, for they hide within such, because they have their own ego Pride to Idolise ! So they work to undermind all around them, so as to promote themselves above others ! and drag you down.

Such as They do not help anyone up out of this Septic Tank, that is called This world ? for they fear the Light, that they may be exposed for what they do ! They drive people down so as to elavate themselves above them !

When I talk to such as them, they have no idea where I am coming from, they demand such is foolishness and they they know far better, sure they can even become religious ? for a reason ? that has nothing to do with Christ Jesus at all but for their their own idiot idols !

Remember the story of the Jew who comes bearing gifts ? that is what Satanist do, they will try and give you something ? but with strings attached for you to play along to their song and you will get some more maybe ? but you will pay the price in another way.

As we seen the Devil himself was a very nice dude who offered up This whole world to Jesus in fact ! but with strings attached is that he would be idolised as god ! but Jesus knew that the Devil has nothing truly to offer, only such temptations is due to Original Sin in the minds of Carnal Man ! that's it's power base.

Not to mention in Church Denominations, their are carnal religious fools ! as the Bible also points out. The Jews were Lost ! because they were only Religious ! but the first Christians were Jews ! They bacame Christians because they were Born again ! in the Light of our Saviour who is our Lord ! for such abide in Christ Jesus.

If one does not abide in Christ Jesus, then one is only religious or Carnal dupes ! for They are Lost !
Religion never saved anyones Soul.
Only Christ Jesus Saves !

I'm talking about the spirit that each human being has. Each person has a body, a soul and a spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

NO! Human beings were created with a body + spirit (breath of life) and became living souls.

In 1 Th 5:23 Paul prays the whole man, consisting of body + spirit as living soul would be preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord. Because the Word of God is like a two-edged sword, piercing to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. The Word of God is a savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish. To the one a savour of death, and to the other the savour of life. For this reason Paul prays for the whole man body and spirit will be a blameless living soul at the coming of the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Matthew 10:28 (KJV) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

2 Corinthians 2:14-16 (KJV)
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
But, he is able to travel around in some way or else scripture would not say that he goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. And if you read the book of Job you can see that Satan told God that he had been roaming the earth.

The spirit being called Satan goes from place to place in this world by indwelling physical hosts. He is even observed inhabiting animals, as he did the herd of swine that were drowned in the sea. It is through physical beings/human beings inhabited with spirit of Satan that he roams the earth seeking whom he may devour.

Satan is spirit, there is no indication in the text to prove Satan appeared and spoke to Christ in physical form during the forty days of temptations.
And likewise there is no indication in the text to prove Satan did not appear and speak to Christ in a physical form during the forty days of temptations .

Satan must have legs because he walks .

Job 1:7 Context

4And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. 5And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. 6Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Spirits don't themselves need legs to walk up and down. This is metaphoric language showing us that in this world this spirit of evil and darkness is always found to be among the children of God. This is why we are repeatedly warned to be watchful, and not to be deceived while living in this world.

I failed to give you an adequate answer. Satan does walk up and down in the earth through physical beings under subjection to him.

This is more in line with modern liberal Atheistic Psychology thinking today or established Christadelphianism than biblical Christianity.

The modern psychological model

The modern psychological model views the symptoms described in biblical narratives—such as speaking in multiple voices, exhibiting different personalities, and displaying extreme behavioral changes—as consistent with dissociative identity disorder rather than literal demonic possession. This interpretation is not universally accepted, as some theological perspectives maintain that demon possession is a real spiritual phenomenon distinct from psychological conditions.

Christadelphians

Christadelphians do not believe in a supernatural, personal devil, but rather view the "devil" and "Satan" as personifications of sin, evil human nature, and temptation. They interpret these terms to represent the sinful inclinations within individuals, or sometimes a group of people or a political power acting as an opponent. According to this belief, sin originates from within a person's own desires, and the "devil" is not an external being with magical powers, but a metaphorical representation of the struggle against God's will.

The truth!

Do you realize, Satan is not a physical being? He is an angel. He is an invisible spirit. He is a real demonic angelic entity. He is not an influence. Even though Satan is an angel of darkness, 2 Corinthians 11:14 tells us that "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

Angels are spirits (Hebrews 1:14). Demons are fallen angels. They operate in the invisible realm. Their allegiance is to Satan. When the Bible talks about the activity of the devil, it sometimes includes the phrase “and his angels.” They are depicted as a collective whole. They move and fight as a unitary army. You cannot divide Satan from the fate of his angels. For example, Scripture describes them in Matthew 25:41 as the devil and his angels,” in Revelation 12:7 as the dragon … and his angels,” and in Revelation 12:9 as that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan … and his angels.”

Job 1:6-7: "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."

We can see how the demonic host operates as a collective whole.

Demons are fallen angels

Psa 78:49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

Jud 1:6And
the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

2 Peter 2:4 closely correlates: God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell [Gr. tartaroo], and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.”

Hello! This is talking about angels that sinned at the beginning and therefore fell. Adam and Eve were not angels. They are not held in "everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” God redeemed them. He made an atoning sacrifice for them in the Garden and gave them a righteous covering. Who else is this speaking about than Satan and his demons?

Revelation 12:1-4 shows Satan and his devils being eternally evicted from heaven. Interestingly the demonic angels are depicted as “stars.” It reads: “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon ... And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth.”

In Revelation 12:4, 1/3 of the angels sided with Satan in his rebellion. They sided with him when he fell, and are part of the kingdom of darkness.

Job 38:6-7 tells us, speaking about the beginning of time, “Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

Revelation 9:1 says: I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the abyss.”

It seems correct to view the flying star in view here as an elect angel. Remember, the key or authority no longer belongs to Satan. He was defeated. Christ and His angels exercise that now within the invisible realm. We exercise it upon the earth.

It is clear that stars are used by John in Revelation as symbols of angels. A falling star is a common easily-recognized natural symbol that is used in a spiritual way here to describe an elect angel descending from heaven before the end of time to open the pit to release Satan and his demons from their restraint in order to restrict the great commission.
I've encountered some people who think demons and the Devil are just a word to describe dysfunctional people.

I know they're real. I've seen them. I know they can manifest in people. They're spirits that do that.

It's true that king Tyrus was under the influence of evil, however the lamentation is directed to the king, not a fallen angel called Satan.

No, read it more carefully. The lamentation is directed to the king of Tyrus, calling him the anointed cherub and perfect in his ways etc. it is not about the spirit being called Satan, you ASSUME was once an angel of God and became Satan.

Ezekiel 28:11-14 (KJV) Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

That doesn't surprise me! Because you also show yourself to be closed minded to anyone posting with another opinion that does not agree with you! I posted the commentary because I have already beat this horse to death, showing how and why I believe Satan was not an angel of God before he became Satan.

Again, no surprise here! Unless the commentary agrees with you, just discard it without showing why you cannot take it seriously!

Prove using the Bible why you believe cherub is a fallen angel that became Satan! Where does Scripture ever speak of Satan being a cherub?

Why would I acknowledge something that cannot be proven from the Word of God? Cherubim angels/fallen? Again, prove cherub/cherubim are angels or were angels of God fallen or otherwise???

Do you know how to read/understand poetic prose, because lamentations are written using poetic prose, not to be taken literally? Imagery and Metaphor: Biblical poetry is rich in vivid imagery and metaphor, which convey deep spiritual truths. So too biblical lamentations are replete with imagery (anointed cherub) and metaphor ("thou wast upon the holy mountain of God;").
  • First of all, the king of Tyrus was still alive here when this was being spoken.
  • Second, the king of Tyrus was definitely not in the Garden of Eden. That would have made him thousands of years old, which is ridiculous.
  • Thirdly, the king of Tyrus was not an anointed guardian cherub. He was a human being. Cherubs are angelic creatures.
  • Fourthly, the king of Tyrus was not born blameless or sinless. He was born with original sin. He was born depraved.
  • Fifthly, the king of Tyrus was not in the mountain of God, a reference to the direct presence of God in heaven, neither was he on Mount Horeb, the earthly mountain of God with Moses.
  • Sixthly, there is nowhere the king of Tyrus corrupted the wisdom he had been given by God in the splendour of God’s presence. He was always an out and out heathen king.
  • Seventhly, the king of Tyrus was not cast out of God’s holy mount to the ground.

Demons are real entities I have experienced them three separate times in the middle of the night along with sleep paralysis the sense of evil was terrifying

Anyone would believe that they are real if they experienced what I have experienced thank God for helping me when I quoted scripture they were bound by the authority of scripture.

It wasn’t ,t just calling Jesus name it was claiming the authority of the scriptures that helped just like Jesus did when satan tried to temp Jesus

Satan attacks those who are real and are a threat to him.

What a deception of Satan to believe he and his demons are not real.

What's that old saying? The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was to convince people he doesn't exist.

Yet the lamentation is directed to the king of Tyrus, a human! Clearly if one tries to interpret literary poetic prose without understanding metaphor and imagery, they will not properly discern the lamentation.

NO! Human beings were created with a body + spirit (breath of life) and became living souls.
Nope. Paul referred to the human body, soul and spirit as the parts of the whole human in 1 Thessalonians 5:23. It's very clear.

In 1 Th 5:23 Paul prays the whole man, consisting of body + spirit as living soul would be preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord.
You are blatantly changing the text. Let's look at it objectively (can you do that?).

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul defines "you wholly" as "your whole spirit and soul and body". You contradict Paul by saying the whole man is only body and spirit. He explicitly said the whole man is "spirit and soul and body". Why are you changing what he said? That is completely unacceptable! That is something I expect from pre-tribs, not from you.

Here is the false rwb twisted translation of 1 Thessalonians 5:23...

1 Thess 5:23 (False rwb Translation): And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Again you are twisting scripture to fit your beliefs! Do you have no shame? It was not Satan who inhabited swine, it was demons who were possessing the man Jesus confronted. There were so many of them that they called themselves "Legion". Satan is one spirit being, not many. Nowhere does it say that Satan possesses human beings at all times. Where do you come up with this stuff? It's never taught in scripture. When he was tempting Jesus in the desert he was not in possession of any human being at the time. When he appeared before God to discuss Job he was not in possession of any human being at the time. Your understanding of Satan and demons is completely flawed.

What's the difference? Can there be one without the other?
What's the difference between Satan and demons? Are you being serious? Do you not think that Satan is one individual spirit being with there also being other separate individual spirit beings called demons?
