WHY DID JESUS SELECT TWELVE APOSTLES?

[Mark 3:14 KJV] "And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,"..........Jesus ordained twelve as his apostles. Why twelve?

[Luke 22:30 KJV] "That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.".........Israel was promised an earthly kingdom in which they would reign with Christ............[Revelation 20:6 KJV] "Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."........There will be twelve tribes and each tribe will be judged by one of the twelve apostles.
