Thanks, but I have no questions. Jesus taught me everything I need to know during a seven year period while I wrote my book on it, The Hidden Mystery Behind Tongues.

Most teachers have no idea what they are talking about because they depend on their own human reasoning, instead of going to the source of Truth. Any time I had a question, like if 1 Corinthians 14:2 is the rule that no man understands tongues, then how could they understand the tongues on the Day of Pentecost? He answered me the next morning as I was just waking up and said "Interpretation" meaning the gift of interpretation of tongues.
""Jesus taught me everything I need to know during a seven year period while I wrote my book on it"""
You are in a great position to help people understand tongues.
What do you disagree with in this 50 minute audio teaching ?

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to listen to it. So, give me the points he is making and I'll answer you. Okay?
7 years with Christ yet 50 minutes is too much to help others here ?
Those 7 years with Christ teaching you are invaluable.
Why are you resisting helping those who do not correctly understand tongues ?

Acts 2:6-8 Tongues were in a known language.
1 Cor 14:2 Refers to unknown tongues.
Your 7 years with Christ will be able to easily teach where Pastor Alex Kurz is wrong :)

I've taught on it many times on here. But I would like to know what your questions are. What do you have a problem understanding.

Then it's easy for you to list the POST NUMBER that specifically teaches :-
the difference between Acts 2-6-8 everyone understood (KNOWN) tongues
VERSUS
1 Cor 14:2 no-one understands him (UNknown) tongues.

I answered you already in post #280 of this thread. Focus on Acts 2:8 and 11. The focus of those two verses is on the hearing. So how in church are tongues understood? What if they were the tongues of angels.

There are a lot more aspects to tongues I can teach you, but for now just this one.

Because the UNDERSTOOD tongues at Pentecost are NOT the NOONE understood tongues in 1 Cor 14:2
The NOONE understands tongues of 1 Cor 14:2 & today serve no EDIFYING purpose since no-one including the talker knows what is being said.

Let's put it in context so you can understand. But first, I'll show you the answer I've already given in #280. "He answered me the next morning as I was just waking up and said "Interpretation" meaning the gift of interpretation of tongues."

Here is 1 Cor.14:2 in context.

2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. 6 But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching?

In church the interpretation consists of that list in verse 6

CONTEXT :)
2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him;
in a tongue >>> for no one understands him >>> UNKNOWN tongue
in the spirit he speaks mysteries>>> his little 's' spirit is speaking 'mysteries' that helps no-one.
List the verses from Paul that teach those 'mysteries' are from GOD :)

Sure. But are you trying to say 1 Corinthians 14:2 is a bad/pagan spirit? I hope you aren't listening to John MacArthur.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

1 Corinthians 2:
9 But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

You aren't even reading the text in context.

1CO 14:4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.

Context for this verse is prayer tongues from your "spirit" verse 2. Prayer from you to God for self edification....helps-YOU.

Thus I am not self-Edified If I pray to God "in my own language", since all "will show the evidence of having the Holy Spirit" By "speaking in tongues"? Just wondering...

No, not at all. You are just not as self-Edified AS I am when my spirit prays to God for me instead of me praying with the spiritual ignorance and understanding of my brain with its thoughts "understanding". That's one reason why God offers us that gift and ability. All we have to have is the brain to believe it and then of course, the faith to receive it.

1CO 2:11 For what person knows a man's thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Sspirit of God.

The Greek says above "pneuma tou theou". And the Greek word tou is possessive above. IOW the verse should have been interpeted the spirit FROM God....and not "the Spirit OF God." But then, our bibles were written by the church of Rome for a 1,000 years. And their influence extended to those devoid of this gift ever since. That's truly too bad for so many like you. I sincerely mean that. I pity all who have never experienced what I know and have experienced.

Do you think you 'know your thoughts', because you are a "what person"? You pray with the fleshly brain in your head and I will let my spirit pray to God whatever IT thinks I need. That lines up perfectly with the verse above.

Why do you insinuate that God wasn't smarter than you and me, to offer this gift, in the first place?
since all "will show the evidence of having the Holy Spirit" By "speaking in tongues"? Just wondering...

Not sure where you are quoting this from? I looked in 6 translations and NADA. Just wondering?

Why should I? Scripture Is Very Clear about what happens when I "make my requests known unto God":

"Likewise the Spirit Also Helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:
but The Spirit itself Maketh Intercession for us With Groanings Which cannot be uttered. And He That
Searcheth the hearts Knoweth What Is The Mind of The Spirit, because He Maketh Intercession for the
saints According To The Will Of God." (Romans 8:26-27 AV)
Gotta Love our Divine Comforter, Helper, And Intercessor, eh?

Romans 8:26-27 is the same as Ephesians 6:18 "praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—; and Jude 1:20 "But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

There are two types of speaking in tongues, and the difference is the direction. One is for all found in Mark 16:16-18 that does not require interpretation as it is our prayer language TO GOD, and the other is like an office in the church giving messages FROM GOD that MUST be supernaturally interpreted, and just like apostles and prophets is not given to everyone. 1 Corinthians 12:30. This last verse I mentioned has been used by false teachers to prove our prayer language is not given to all. That doesn't mean that all use it as a sign they are saved. Anymore than everyone goes around healing people or casting out demons, but we all have that authority. Those who don't are merely "uninformed" 1 Corinthians 14:23.

Not sure why you quoted my part of the text. If you are disagreeing with me, along with @GRACE ambassador, then I would appreciate knowing to address whatever God has showed me that you don't agree with, same as I don't agree with all you feel God has told you. :pfite:

Please answer; As it is, I feel like I need to ask you an important question; Do you agree with me, that there are TWO 'holy spirits' in scripture concerning tongues? One being the holy spirit of Christ in us, and one is the Holy Spirit of the trinity?

I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was just using the quotes as addressees, so you would read what I said
.
Look at Romans 8:9. "But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells within you. And if the Spirit of Christ is not in you, you do not belong to Him.

It appears there are three Holy Spirits, but in reality they are One.

You may think you have a right to talk to me this way, but I know God doesn't agree. Shame on you. I'm putting you on ignore. It is plain you have no loving fruit of the Spirit, and if I'm right that you do not, you will be surprised to hear Jesus say to you, "I never knew you." Peter says about the fruit of the Spirit, "For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins."

Being put on ignore means I will not have to see your abuse. I won't have to see it. By the way, I've also reported your bullying.
Brethren, the 'bullying' and 'abuse' is done to us men in Christ, even in our homes, by certain lawless women in Christ(not all), who're against the written scripture and sound doctrine.

So desperate to take authority to 'rebuke' and 'correct' us, and make excuses in the name of apparently 'carnal' love and not GOD's love.

That we must agree and go along with everything they say and do, even though scripture 'forbids' and is 'lawlessness', they 'ignore' and 'heart-harden' to.

This is 'absurd' and 'distracting' from what we stand up for in faith without compromise, moreover this is Bible Study Forum, and not a Christian Social Club.

Shalom in the name of Lord Jesus Christ.
