Ignoring the evidence whilst claiming that the truth is a lie will not get anyone the everlasting life that God first purposed for his human family. That is exactly what the Pharisees did to Jesus and his disciples....they claimed that Jesus was a fake Messiah and that people should not listen to him.....most of the people didn’t listen and rallied for his execution. (Matt 27:25)

Jesus warned his disciples....
“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19  If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you. 20  Keep in mind the word I said to you: A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have observed my word, they will also observe yours. 21  But they will do all these things against you on account of my name, because they do not know the One who sent me.”

This is just as true today.....it’s not the majority who are on the road to life (Matt 7:13-14)...it is the hated “few” who are teaching a very inconvenient truth. But Jesus promised that some would listen, just as some of the Jewish people listened to him......but not the majority.

Do you see why? They do not know the one who sent Jesus...they claim to know him and look down on those who deny that he is “God”, yet he never once said he was. Find me that verse where Christ claimed to be the Almighty....equal to his God and Father?

Now to the trenches one and all . And get in that bible .

What a hypocritical thing to say for someone who has no idea what the Bible teaches outside of his own limited indoctrination....seriously Amigo, do you hear yourself? Are those who read these responses seeing you defend your faith?....or are you just blindly sticking to the doctrines you were fed and are afraid to look outside of them in the whole Bible, for the truth. 2) The existence of immortal souls when the Bible never mentions them. Souls are mortal, they die. (Ezekiel 18:4) The dead are not in a conscious state. (Eccl 9:5, 10)

3) A hell of eternal fiery torment.....based on Jesus teaching about “Gehenna”, a term understood by Jesus’ Jewish audience, but corrupted by an apostate church long before we were even born. Looking up the Bible’s terminology in Greek exposes the false beliefs you have adopted as truth.....but fear prevents you from investigating them.....what have you got to lose Amigo?

Who sold you out? This shows that you know nothing about what you say....You spout off other people’s opinions about everything, but claim them as truth when you have not done anything but drink in carefully managed propaganda. The devil makes sure that black looks white and vice versa.

JW’s are not part of Christendom as we hold no beliefs in common with them....so the term “Protestant” does not apply. We divorced ourselves from all the “church denominations” and simply went back to the beginning and started fresh, allowing the whole Bible to tell it’s own truth.

The fact that you cannot defend a single thing you say, when you are questioned about any of your beliefs, shows that you believe blindly....with no real understanding about what the Bible itself teaches.

I suggest "I will be what/who I will be" is the correct translation, and speaks of God's future activity in delivering Israel out of Egypt Exodus 3:12, Exodus 6:1-8, not simply his existence which was well known to the Patriarchs as The Most High God (Power) Genesis 14 and also as El Shaddai, a title that can be understood and again has the word El (Power). Could I ask: What is significant or additional to these titles in the incorrect translation "I am that I am"?

Because I believe that the Kingdom of Heaven is a Kingdom established by God and Jesus when Jesus returns to the earth to sit upon the Temple Throne of David in Jerusalem for the 1000 years. It is "OF" heaven, not "IN" heaven. Matthew 8 teaches that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be in the Kingdom of Heaven, but they will actually be upon the earth.

Daniel 2:35,44 (KJV): 35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

No, the context doesn't agree with your conclusion.

They didn’t stone Him the next day for the same reason they didn’t stone Him in that moment… they couldn’t. Jesus said, “Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple” ~John 8:59. It wasn’t lack of intent. It was lack of opportunity.

And this wasn’t a one-time reaction. It happened again: “the Jews took up stones again to stone him” ~John 10:31. Their reason is stated plainly, “because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God” ~John 10:33.

So the issue isn’t whether they tried. Scripture shows they did, more than once.

The real question is why they kept failing. Jesus answers that too: “his hour was not yet come” ~John 7:30. They could not take Him until the appointed time.

So John 9 doesn’t undo John 8. It confirms something bigger. Men tried to kill Him, but they were restrained until the exact moment God had already determined.

And through all of it, the charge never changed. They understood exactly what He was claiming.
