Should we support the state of Israel or not as Christians? Thank you
As a Christian we must recognize that the modern state of Israel is anti-Christ. Most of the jews there despise Christians. However, it is a stable democratic state in the midst of extreme Islamic fundamental nations. It is in the best interest of the USA, as well as Europe, to provide support for such a crucial ally.

Any nation that commits genocide is out of order.
Without repentance....even with it, where is it thought the future of that nation will be amongst other nations?
Does it really need to be said again, hate begets hate.

There is a political entity in the Middle East which calls itself Israel. Some would say that this state is the fulfillment of ancient prophecies and promises. I would disagree. The modern state of Israel is just another part of the great end times deception. How it all plays out is anyone's guess. But that's all it is, a play.

We are in the middle of an ancient war. Our enemy has been defeated. But he still has the power to deceive. Israel it would appear, is central to that deception.

To get a better idea you should look back to the history that shows how the current events came about. Most of the nations that surround Israel are really only a couple of years older. They all happened because the old Ottoman empire sided with Germany during WW2 and got broken up after. Iseal did not place the Palestinians in Gaza. They took themselves there so as not to be caught in the cross fire when the other nations tried to destroy the new nation. israel being reborn in a day is a fulfillment of prophecy and things are going the way God said it would play out.

Yes. I recommend reading In Defense of Israel The Bible’s Mandate For Supporting The Jewish State by John Hagee.
I also believe in supporting Israel. God says in the Bible that He will bless those that bless Israel and curse those that curse Israel.

When the Jews got their State of Israel in 1948, it was a fulfillment of Bible prophecy...that God would bring them back to their land.

@Jericho Any thoughts for @PeterItalian ?

The bible says no such thing. Abraham was not an Israelite, much less a Jew, as there were no such thing as Jews or Israelites when the promise was made. Furthermore, the promise that was made was conditional. As a people, the majority of Abraham's descendants repeatedly violated their end of the agreement.
I know it stinks to be raised dispensationalist, but you have to break through the programming at some point. Its not optional unless you desire to remain eternally deceived. Perhaps God will be merciful to those who were deceived by this satanic ruse, but He said that the elect would be immune to such deception. The Elect. Something to ponder for sure.

As Christians, meaning religiously? No.

The vast majority of Israelis are former Russians who just tried their way to get out of Russia. Their "Jewish heritage" was not being examined too thoroughly. And they are mostly atheists.

And the Jewish minorities of various sects of modern Judaism are basically anti-Christian, so there is nothing to support.

God re-established Israel in 1948 just as he said he would in the Book of Amos. Israel will NEVER again be destroyed.

Amos 9:14-15
"I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit. 15 I will plant them on their land, AND THEY SHALL NEVER AGAIN BE UPROOTED out of the land that I have given them,” says the Lord your God.

Amost 9:9
For I will give the command,
and I will shake the people of Israel
among all the nations
as grain is shaken in a sieve,
and not a pebble will reach the ground.
10All the sinners among my people
will die by the sword,
all those who say,
‘Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’

When did this happen? And be very careful, here.

I've noticed how more and more supposed "Christians" are waging anti-Israel rhetoric against Israel. It's spiritually driven, of course. I recently abandoned a conservative forum because, even after sharing the word of God that explains God's plan for Israel, members there would not abandon their hatred of Israel...and those are self-prophessed "Christians". They are spiritually deceived.

Whether it's about Hell or Israel the fundamentalists here will NEVER budge from their own theology that they created in their own heads. All the Bible scriptures in the world won't change their views because their monolithic egos blind them.

God has decreed that Jews CANNOT yet believe in and follow Jesus AT THIS TIME. Eventually he will permit them to do so and then THEY WILL follow Jesus.

Romans 11:25
25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
