Hi there!

So I don't know if this is just for me, or what! But I have struggled with making sense long enough to know that it is not something you get, without working for it! The revelation I have had here, is that over a lifetime, the more our words align with the words of Jesus, the more those words make sense. This should be an encouragement. You may be born with a gift of making sense, but until your words reflect Jesus they will never make the sense they should?

I think the thing is, is that actually what makes sense, can be a variation of things. The believers in the gospels are commended to do a number of things, in order to reach the world: tell people of the Law, share prophecy with people and keep praising God. We can make sense about the law, prophecy and praise. These things can be practiced. And to come back to the point, the words of Jesus about the Law, Prophecy and Praise, can help our words about these things make sense too (now and into the future, Lord willing).

What you have to be on the look out for, is the Devil's attack: "you don't make sense", "that's not scriptural", "you've sinned" (and of course, the big one for me "your brain is evil") - none of these things make sense, or help us make sense. Jesus' words in reply are the antidote: we live from God's word, we'll be judged for every idle word and we can almost always repent! I think what is interesting is that Christian are so humble, it doesn't occur to them that keeping Jesus' words, will have any effect on the meaning of what they say. Getting the idea behind Christianity and understanding it's meaning are two different things - we should look forward to both!

The power of God, is that even someone who made no sense, to begin with, will still one day be able to communicate as a King or Queen. We should encourage each with these words "Jesus loves the sense you make, for you and Him together". I really mean that I love the sense that Christians make; I will continue to love Christians, the more they make sense! Let's not rush to change what God has given us to say, let's thank God for the sense we do make (Amen to that!).

I hope this has been of some encouragement.

God bless.
