Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven,
but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many (many-not a few) will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy
in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:21-23

Never knew them?
Never were saved!!!

Yet, they fooled well-intentioned, naive "friendly" Christians who lacked doctrinal discernment.

Lacked doctrinal discernment?
They were prophesying in God's name and driving out demons, in God's name and performing many miracles in God's name.
Where is the lack of doctrinal discernment?

Can you make that, please, into a real question?
I have a sense you are assuming something that you believe we all should know.

Matthew 7:21-23? Were all men who swore they were doing God's will.
Being a Biblical scholar does not mean they had been saved.
Just look at all the main established cults like the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses who have Bible scholars working on their side.

Now think about Satan wanting to infiltrate with some scholars who would be much more subtle in their approach as to avoid detection.
Are they saved? One can not say.

It reminds me of Simon the Sorcerer in Acts chapter eight.
He wanted to purchase the ability to give the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands.
A person may have the doctrine without the relationship.

Those gifts had ceased.....

That's the needed discernment they lack.

Did you know that the Greek reveals that gifts were to end in different ways?
Some - instantly.
Some - in a process of dying down and fading out?

Just the same.
Why even say they were to end?
If they were not to end?

And, keep in mind.

Knowing that the enemy has the power to counterfeit what appears to be the gifts.

So we just go with the flow?

Bible scholars are leaving Christianity in droves. Why?
They "leave" because they do not believe in God.
They started out being TOLD that Christianity was true (and believed that it was).
They came to believe that the BIBLE was not true (it was a flawed human work of literature).
They ultimately concluded that God was not real (what they had been TOLD ABOUT God was a lie).

The critical take away, was they had "information" about the religion of Christianity [in the case of these particular scholars, LOTS of information] but they never knew God [the actual being]. Had they not "left", they would likely had ended their race surprised to hear "I never knew you". Like those in the Bible story [that these scholars do not believe], they could legitimately have announced "Lord, did we not write books about you, and host Christian seminars?" ... and it would have been true. So would Jesus' statement that Jesus "never knew them" and THEY "never knew Him".

That is what I took away from the first video. I have too little interest and my time is too valuable to watch all of them just for curiosity. I suspect "more of the same".

What do you make of this?

1 Corinthians 1:7 NIV
Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.

What were the first epistles written by Paul?
1 Corinthians, and 1 Thessalonians.
The NT was far from completed.

What was to help hold them over until the perfect/completed appeared?
The temporary gifts!

Jesus is the Word! (John 1:1)
The Word (Jesus Christ) was still waiting to be revealed!
For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes,
what is in part disappears. 1 Corinthians 13:9-10

Is this AI answer?
Yes.

Bcause I haven't read his book and I'm not familiar with his experiences, I merely posted it to allow those who don't know about it to get a glimpse of it.

His question is very important and it is a problem that many people face. I think many people will have the same problem as him, including myself in the past.

But now his issues are not problems for me. I can easily reconcile these conflicting matters.

Spiritual gifts have not stopped. The Devil likes to tell that lie. I have seen it, experienced it, done it. The Holy Spirit speaks to believers still, and Jesus still appears to me.

The offices of teachers, preachers, evangelists, and prophets are still in Churches.. Spirits are cast out, People are healed, the gift of knowledge, which allows you to read the bible and retain every word. I'm sure met some people like this.
1 Corinthians 4:11 - Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. 7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

One can quote passages that cover when the gifts were functional.
But, that is not to imply they would last forever.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled;
where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
1 Corinthians 13:8

Keep in mind.

In the beginning of his ministry?
Paul had the gift for healing.

But, later on?
He ceased having the gift anymore.

Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus. 2 Timothy 4:20
grace and peace!

I said I have experienced them. God is still giving the gifts of the spirit to believers. I'm a witness to them. Scripture backs it up.

Jesus left some sick as well.
That did not mean He lost the gift of healing.
Some got healed some didn';t.
Not healed, whom he attempted to heal?

You asked me for Scripture ?
I gave some...

Where is yours, please?
