The Last Three WOE Periods For The End of This World

The 3 WOE Periods of Revelation 9 through 11 are about the last 3 Trumpets that the 3 angels sound leading up to Christ's future return on the last trumpet. These 3 Woe Periods give the exact order of events leading up to that last 7th trumpet sounding. Lord Jesus in His Olivet discourse of Matthew 24 and Mark 13 commanded us to Watch the events of the end leading up to His future return. And the signs in these 3 Woe Periods are included in His command for His servants to be watching.

13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!"

At the end of Revelation 8:13 we are warned about the 3 Woes of the last 3 Trumpets yet to sound, the Woe Periods of the 5th, the 6th, and 7th Trumpets.

The 1st Woe - 5th Trumpet:

Rev 9:1-12
9 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

This begins the sounding of the 5th Trumpet and thus the 1st Woe Period with it.

The "star" which John saw fall from heaven unto earth is about Lucifer (Luke 10:18; Isaiah 14:12). The time of that fall was when Lucifer originally rebelled against God, and Lucifer fell.

And to that specific "star" who fell from heaven unto the earth was given the key of the bottomless pit. That "bottomless pit" represents the place in the heavenly called Hades, or Tartarus by the Greeks. Those are simply names for the heavenly abode of the wicked called hell. So any time you see that "bottomless pit" mentioned in The New Testament, the abode of hell is where it is talking about. That place in the heavenly is where Satan's work office is from heaven (he works on earth too, over kingdoms). (See Rev.11:7; 17:8; 20:1,3; Luke 8:31; Rom.10:7)

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

This is still 5th Trumpet, 1st Woe period timing. What is this darkening of the sun of the doing written at this point in time?

Notice back at the 4th Trumpet this darkening of the sun, moon, and stars had also happened. Notice also the sun is darkened on the 6th SEAL of Rev.6:12 just prior... to mention of Christ's wrath coming upon the earth with His coming.

Notice especially in this Rev.9:2 verse that it is "smoke out of the pit" that does this particular darkening of the sun and the air. In case you are not aware yet, God is allowing at the end of this world a false-Messiah to appear in Jerusalem first, prior to Lord Jesus Christ's future return; that false one is coming to this earth first to play Lord Jesus Christ working great signs and wonders, proclaiming to be God (See 2 Thess. 2; Rev.13:11-14). This smoke out of the pit is thus like smoke and mirrors, a mimic, to cause deception as to what time it is.

Thus Satan tries to mimic Christ's future coming when the sun and moon are darkened, and that is what the first part of the 6th Seal is about, the "untimely figs" cast down to earth just prior to Christ's future return.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

Our Heavenly Father does not do monsters, so you don't have to wonder if these locusts are monsters with the following type descriptions. Notice the Scripture says these locusts have power "as"... scorpions of the earth. That means they have a sting like a scorpion does. But it's still a metaphor, for their sting represents a spiritual sting upon one's soul. When The LORD uses these type analogies He is wanting us to understand how... a real locust or scorpion in nature attacks its prey, and then apply that in the spiritual sense.

One should study the Book of Joel to get an idea of who these locusts actually represent in the last days. They represent a certain people, Satan's host strong in power, that take over the world at the end.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

These locusts are not allowed to hurt any... green thing of the earth.

Think about that, because some fallen churches have been wrongly teaching all out WWIII for the last days for the "great tribulation" time that Jesus commanded us to be watching His signs about (Matt.24; Mark 13; Luke 21). They wrongly believe the end will happen with all out war, when Lord Jesus in Matthew 24:6 showed just the opposite, that the end will be a time of world peace, though a fake peace established by the false one who comes first. Their preachers use their all-out-war ideas to fool their congregations into believing Jesus will rapture us out before WWIII happens at the end. That's not going to happen though, per God's Word.

How do... these locusts hurt then? They will be allowed to hurt those men who are NOT sealed with God's seal in the forehead. What is inside your forehead? Your brain, your mind. So what is that 'seal' from God? It is the sealing by The Holy Spirit through Faith on the death and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ, The Gospel (John 6:27; 2 Cor.1:21-22; Eph.1:13;Eph.4:30; Rev.7:4-9).

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

Mind you, this is still 5th Trumpet - 1st Woe timing. Jesus is giving us a description of what is coming with the next 6th Trumpet - 2nd Woe period, i.e., the time of "great tribulation" at the end of this world per His Olivet discourse of Matthew 24:15 forward. This 5th Trumpet - 1st Woe period is mainly about the working of the locusts of Joel chapters 1 & 2 over the whole earth, taking control of everything upon the earth in four stages, like how a real locust in nature develops.

These locusts will not be allowed to 'kill' those men who are NOT sealed with God's Seal. They can only sting... those men for a period of "five months".

So if that stinging 'like'... a scorpion does not kill, then what is that stinging about as a spiritual metaphor? It is about deception upon one's soul to cause bowing to the false-Messiah who comes first. The Revelation 12:14-17 Scriptures gives more detail about this stinging of those not sealed, as that old serpent goes after God's people who have the Testimony of Jesus Christ, i.e., Christ's Church. All others at the end will be deceived, and thus subject to this spiritual stinging by these locusts (Rev.13:4-8).

Ever wonder what Lord Jesus shortened the coming "great tribulation" time to at the end of this world? He said in Matthew 24:22 that He shortened the time of the future great tribulation for the sake of His elect. That means If... you are one of His elect, then you WILL be here going through that "great tribulation" of our future at the end. And it will last for a period of "five months" like Jesus shows here with the time the locusts are allowed to sting the unsealed.

Rev.9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

That means we are to notice what TYPE of tribulation that time will actually be. It will not be a time of all out world war. It will be a time when Jesus showed all wars have stopped, and we are to especially to be aware of the signs of the end He gave us, and watching. The above is a further confirmation that time of the end shall not be about literal war between the nations.

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.

These locust appear LIKE horses, with faces of men, the hair of women, and teeth like lions?? They are monsters, right? Not unless you're making a fake Hollywood horror movie. This still gets your attention though, doesn't it? That is our Lord Jesus Christ's intention, to get you to WAKE UP!

Christ is merely using... the IDEA of real horses in battle, real kings that have crowns of gold on their heads, with faces of men because they ARE... real men, and with the hair of women to show how they work deception in softness and sweetness, but they tear one's SOUL apart like lions do with their teeth.

That is what that stinging mentioned before will do to those NOT sealed with God's Seal. They will be subject to the devil's deception attacking their very soul, and that specific attack will be to bow to the false-Messiah that comes first in Jerusalem at the end.


9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

Breastplates as a symbol can represent two possible things; the literal breastplates of real horsemen going into battle, or the breastplates of beautiful jewels that were upon the breastplate of the Hebrew priest per the old covenant. In this analogy by Christ, it is about the idea of fake priests of Satan's host deceiving those not sealed with God's Seal by The Holy Spirit. That's why their breastplates are described as being like "iron", instead of the beautiful breastplate of 12 jewels for the Hebrew priest.

Take notice again of those locusts mentioned previously that sting the non-sealed for five months. Hair like women? represents the softness of their speech, like, "You don't have to watch Jesus' signs for the coming great tribulation, you're gonna' be gone, raptured before all that happens." Those deceived also wrongly preach that this locust army of horses prepared for battle is about the future literal armies that come out of the northern quarters on the LAST DAY when Jesus returns to fight them with His army He brings from Heaven (Rev.16 on the 7th Vial.)

No, this locust army is not... that future northern army that comes upon Israel on the last day of this world. These locusts are about the 'world controllers' who serve Satan, and are already at work today. They take over control of this earth through 4 stages, like real locusts develop -- control over the political, the financial, the military power, and in final world religion, the 4 dynasties that several aware have mentioned in past history.

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

There's that "five months" again. Lord Jesus wants us to understand that's the time He shortened the "great tribulation" to, as this is the second time He has shown it to John here.

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Those are symbolic titles for Satan. He has many titles in The Word of God. Both of those titles mean 'The Destroyer'. Per Exodus 12:23, the death angel that was to passover the children of Israel in Egypt is also called the "destroyer". Per Hebrews 2:14, it is Satan himself who has been assigned the "power of death". Thus it should be easy to figure out this one here also called "Abaddon", and "Apollyon" actually is the devil. The title "Apollyon" comes from the Greek word for our word 'perdition', so even by that it seals the fact that Christ is pointing directly to Satan in the above verse.

Mark that then; Satan is that "angel of the bottomless pit." And also mark that it shows Satan is a "king" over that "bottomless pit."


12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.

That ends the 1st Woe that happens along with the sounding of the 5th Trumpet. Two more Woe periods occur with the last two Trumpets.

The 2nd Woe - 6th Trumpet:

Rev 9:13-21
13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, "Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates."

The Euphrates river is the northern border of the lands which God originally gave to Abraham and thus the children of Israel. It was from the river in Egypt (Nile) to the Euphrates (Genesis 15:18).

Recall back in Revelation 7 "four angels" holding the four winds are told to not hurt the earth, the sea, nor the trees until God has sealed His servants with His Seal in their foreheads. We just learned back at Revelation 9:4-5 the locusts cannot hurt any green thing, but only those men who do NOT have God's Seal in their foreheads.

The sounding of this 6th Trumpet - 2nd Woe period therefore represents the coming "great tribulation" time. This is when the locusts step up their attack of deception to get control over all the earth and all nations in prep for the coming false-Messiah. These "four angels" crossing that border of the Euphrates river serves as symbolic for the locust army attack, the northern side of Euphrates symbolically representing Satan's host, and the southern side of Euphrates representing God's people who are to inherit that land from Egypt to the Euphrates river as promised to Abraham by God.

15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

Those "four angels" loosed are prepared for a certain hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, to slay one third of men. This slaying is symbolic for the slaying of one's soul through deception to the false-Messiah who comes first to play God on earth over all nations. Remember earlier in Revelation 9:4-5 the locusts are not allowed to kill those men who do not have God's Seal, but only 'sting'... them for "five months." That is how we know this slaying is a spiritual symbol for attack on the soul. One third of men then, will be deceived into false worship to the coming false-Messiah.


16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

This is a symbolic army representing the locusts of the Book of Joel, which our Heavenly Father calls, "My great army which I sent among you." (Joel 2:20-25). It will not spiritually harm His faithful Church in Christ who wait for Jesus' coming afterwards. God is going to use that locust army to judge the whole world and also purge out the leaven among His people that are rebellious against Him.


17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

There are those symbols again mentioned back in Revelation 9:7-9 used to describe that locust army and how they will spiritually attack God's people at the end.

They are not a real army, like with tanks and airplanes and such. Per the Book of Joel they represent "a great people, and a strong". Turn with me to Joel 2...

Joel 2:1-10
2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

God gives the timing of these events for near the very end just before Jesus returns on that "day of the Lord", the last day of this present world also when God's consuming fire will burn man's works off this earth (2 Peter 3:10-13).

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

There's who God is speaking about with these locusts, real men, a strong people.

3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

God has given the locusts the power to take over the whole earth at the end just prior to Christ's future return. Satan will be given the power over all nations at the end to rule for 42 months, deceiving the whole world, except Christ's elect. (Rev.13:4-8)

4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

There's a symbol reference given also in Revelation 9 about these locusts, with that appearance of horses, and horsemen.

5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

God uses the idea of an army in battle array to symbolically represent this locust army. They are not a real military army though, but a group of world controllers and their servants that work for Satan.

6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

The symbolic locusts will not break their ranks, meaning they will be unstoppable. Why? Because our Heavenly Father is in control, and this locust army He sends upon the earth.

8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

That should be a major... clue that God is only using the idea of how real locusts attack for these world controllers that takeover the wealth of His people. A real military army would be wounded when they fell upon a sword. That these cannot be wounded means they are symbolic for an army, and not a real army. Again, God is using these comparisons to show how thorough these world controllers who work for Satan are, that they cannot be defeated by man, but only by Lord Jesus Himself at His future coming.

9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

Consider today's Media outlets, how they can infiltrate one's home. That is one of the powers of these locusts, as their main attack is to deceive.

10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

There's that smoke and mirrors to show the false time of their false-Messiah's coming to mimic Christ.

Back to Revelation 9...

Rev.9:18
By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

The third part of men killed mentioned before, will be killed by those 3 methods, "by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone," which issues out of their what?? Out of their MOUTHS.

What comes out of one's mouth? WORDS! And in the case of these locusts, it is words to cause deception to bowing to the false-Messiah who comes first playing Christ (Again see 2 Thess.2).

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

Again, their main power is in their 'mouth'. The tails refers back to their stinging LIKE a scorpion, but in the spiritual sense. That comparison to "serpents" should stir up you memory also, about "that old serpent" who deceived Eve in God's Garden of Eden.

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

These "rest of the men which were not killed..." still are part of that unsealed group mentioned back at Revelation 9:4-5 which the locusts are not allowed to kill them, but only 'sting' them for "five months." These are followers of the devil and his ways, guilty of worshiping devils, worship of idols, do not repent of their murders, nor their dealings in the illegal drug world, nor of their thefts.

It's interesting to note that this word "sorceries" is the Greek word pharmakeia (NT:5331), which is where our English word pharmacy comes from.

2nd Woe - 6th Trumpet Continued:


This Revelation 10 chapter is a parenthetical type chapter. It is covering events relating directly to the prophecies covered so far with the 1st and 2nd Woes, but also a short summary of the very end of this world.

Rev 10
10 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

Many have attempted to define just what these "seven thunders" are, but to no avail. When God gives us natural signs from His creation we are to understand how those can be symbols for spiritual matters.

Therefore, how does lightning and thunder work in real nature? The lightning comes first, doesn't it? And immediately after the lightning comes thunder. What the angel cried is what caused those "seven thunders", so the thunders were a result of an event, the event represented by the lightning. In the next few verses we will be shown just how that is meant...

4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, "Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not."

John was going to write down those "seven thunders", then was told not to. Again, the reason will be shown here in a little bit...

5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by Him That liveth for ever and ever, Who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets.

There's the reason John was told not to write down the "seven thunders". It's because they represent the very END of this present world, particularly that "the mystery of God should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets." This points to what the angel cried out like a lion being what represented the END. That points to "the voice of the seventh angel", the final 7th Trumpet.

Therefore, by that Christ is showing us that when the 7th Trumpet begins to sound, all Bible prophecy for this present world time, will be over, as it will include the day of Christ's future return on the "day of the Lord", and the beginning of His future "thousand years" reign on earth. (See especially Zechariah 14)

8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, "Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth."

John is told to "take" the little Book out of the hand of the angel.

9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, "Give me the little book." And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

That little Book is The Word of God. Again the angel tells John to 'take'... the Book. That's twice for emphasis, so Christ is giving us a type of lesson just with that, that we are to take... His Word and discipline ourselves in Bible study. None of things like, "I hear this preacher at this Church is pretty good, let's go hear what he preaches out of The Bible." No, mainly TAKE The Book for yourselves. Understand what God is telling you directly within HIS Word, and not just what the preachers say. And I can assure you, the truly serious and devout servants of Christ that are preachers want you to do that Bible study for yourself too! And if God has put the urge in you by The Holy Spirit to get into His Word for yourself, you will be driven by that Holy Spirit urge until you accomplish it, doing it His Way (Isaiah 28).

10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, "Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings."

It's the bitter part of God's Word that many struggle with in their Bible study. We may go to Church and the preaching is that things are all good with Christ's servants, and that Jesus is coming soon to gather us. But when we get home to crack open God's written Word for ourselves, we come upon Bible Scripture that kind of seems bitter, harsh, punishments for the deceived and the wicked, and even upon Christ's servants that fall away. Yet we have to receive both the sweet and the bitter of God's Word IF we really want God's Truth.

This Revelation 10 chapter showed the future sounding of the 7th Trumpet, that when it sounds God's prophecies for this present world, involving the mystery, will be over. Thus this chapter serves as a break from the specific events on the 2nd Woe, 6th Trumpet. We are still in that 2nd Woe period and 6th Trumpet timing, and it will pick up in the next Revelation 11 chapter...

2nd Woe - 6th Trumpet Continued...:

Rev 11:1-14
11 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, "Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein."

These symbols of a "reed" and a "rod" are two different things. The "reed" is Greek kalamos, meaning a measuring pen (NT:2563). But that "rod" is a rod for destruction, not for building. That's why it says that "reed" is "LIKE" "a rod". It is pointing to this specific temple of God as being a fake. And John is told to measure it, which can also mean how does it measure up to God.

2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

This "temple of God" represents a future 3rd temple to be built by the unbelieving Jews in Jerusalem for the end. The above phrase in red reveals the timing of this temple is at the end of this world, as the "dragon" of Revelation 13:4-8 is given to reign over all nations for that same "forty and two months." That 42 month period also equals 1260 days which is mentioned next. It represents the time of "great tribulation" originally given in the Book of Daniel. But remember, Lord Jesus shortened that time to "five months."

3 And I will give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Still 2nd Woe, 6th Trumpet timing. During the coming tribulation, God's two witnesses will appear in Jerusalem and prophesy against the beast, and work plagues upon the beast similar to what God did with miracles through Moses and Aaron when He led the children of Israel out of Egypt.

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Per Lord Jesus in the last verse of Revelation 1, the "candlesticks" represent the 7 Churches. These two candlesticks mentioned here along with God's two witnesses reveals that two out of the seven symbolic Churches in Asia will also make a stand for Jesus against that beast. If you read Christ's warnings in Mark 13, you should have understood that delivering up of some of Christ's servants at the end to give a Testimony against the beast by The Holy Spirit speaking through them. And Jesus said do not think beforehand what you will speak in that hour, but speak what The Holy Spirit gives you to say.

5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

There is the power from God given to His two witnesses during the coming great tribulation.

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

After the two witnesses prophesy for 1260 days, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will kill them. Who is that beast? It will be Satan himself, the one shown in Revelation 9 that is the angel of the bottomless pit, and a king.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

That reveals beyond all doubt just where this will happen. It will be in Jerusalem, on earth.

9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

The above prophecy is very interesting for our times. HOW... will those people and kindreds and tongues and nations SEE the dead bodies of God's two witnesses lay in the street in Jerusalem for three and half days?

It's called satellite technology. This prophecy could not take place until satellite technology was discovered. The majority of peoples today on earth, including in the middle east, have access to cell phones and TV. This prophecy suggests this event will be shown via satellite.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

When the world sees God's two witnesses dead in the street of Jerusalem, they are going to throw parties, send gifts to each other, make merry. That reveals the coming tribulation at the end will be a time of world peace, though a fake peace, like the Daniel 8 prophecy shows. Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5 also pointed to that time of fake world peace at the end just prior to Christ's future coming.

11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, "Come up hither." And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Just imagine, that will be televised so the whole world can see it.

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

Within that "same hour", a great earthquake happens there in Jerusalem, and the tenth part of the city will fall, and seven thousand will be slain. The "remnant" seeing that are frightened, and give glory to God.

This ends the 2nd Woe - 6th Trumpet period.

3rd Woe - 7th Trumpet:

Rev 11:15-19
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever."

Recall back in Revelation 10 we are shown that when the 7th angel sounds, the mystery of God for this present world declared by His prophets shall be finished.

On that 7th Trumpet is when Lord Jesus will take reign of ALL... nations upon earth. This 7th trumpet sounding brings the final 3rd Woe upon the earth.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, "We give Thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, Which art, and Wast, and art to come; because Thou hast taken to Thee Thy great power, and hast reigned.

Christ's wrath, it's getting ready to occur upon the earth.

18 And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of His testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Want to know where the Ark of The Covenant is located today? It's there, in Heaven, with The Father and The Son. So if the Jews in today's Jerusalem produce one and claim it is the Ark of The Covenant, you will know their's is a fake.

The parallel to those events of thunderings, earthquake and great hail on the day of Christ's future coming is also written of in Revelation 16 with the 7th Vial. The 7th Vial is also a marker for when Lord Jesus will return to earth with His army from Heaven and fight Satan's host.

What Rev.11 instead shows about the timing of the final 7th Trumpet - 3rd Woe is the day of Jesus' future coming, and not the tribulation time.

The time of "great tribulation" by its events is shown happening on the 6th Trumpet - 2nd Woe.
