Jesus did not say only pay taxes. You’re being obtuse.
I would rather say you have nothing. Your position is just a bubble created by the culture you live in. Despite your desperate tries, there is nothing in the New Testament supporting it.

The seven deadly sins—pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth—are considered fundamental vices in Christian theology.

They are seen as morally corruptive and are to be avoided in the pursuit of a righteous life.

Analyzing Donald Trump’s behavior through the lens of these sins provides a clear indication of why his actions are incompatible with Christian values.

Ha! Ha! Jesus did not say to give to Caesar what is Casesar what is Caesar’s? Jesus did not say sell your cloak and buy a sword?

Christian history is not filled with centuries of battles against Islamic Jihadi’s?

No of course not! It is you who have nothing to support your new-age, over-spiritualized babbling - but projection.

He did. So? It has nothing to do with your religious following of Trump.

Staying rational and critical in secular politics is not new-age and it is not over-spiritualizing. You are the one babbling nonsense.

This has repeatedly been explained to you. And is consistent with doing more in service of your country. Matthew 5:41
41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

Who compels? And for what purpose? Do you know? Support of military - just as I do now for Trump.

You know you're not talking to those in Christ when Christian Republicans are said to be in a religion of Trump.

Confidence in our history, righteousness of purpose, and superiority of military and destiny - the shining City on a Hill.

Like the bombing of the school in Iran, killing more than 160 innocent girls.

In God, we trust. The God of our Lord, Jesus Christ. God bless America. What kind of poor soul are you to be luke warm, fighting for no great cause but moderation, eternally compromising good for evil?

Your war is not God ordered.

If it were, the regime already had fallen.

Iran will never surrender, then what ?

The Iranians are the ones with a history of targeting civilians. Not the western powers.

The war could have been ordered by God. I am under the impression the Israelis would have waged war without our support. No one wants a neighboring country with the intent to destroy them and the ever increasing means to do so.

The ramifications for the future are however not all optimistic. I've no delusion that democracy is going to break out in Iran. Grass roots jihad will increase as the spirit of the antichrist starts to be pressured, and it will press back.

I don't know much about this war, I don't watch the news much, it depresses me.
But im very surprised how many Christians on this forum support this war. I personally don't support any war at all. I only support peace. Jesus preached to love one another, including our enemies and war is the complete opposite of that.

Love is not the determining factor for WAR or PEACE.

God established and approved WAR.

Love…Hate…War…Peace… all fall under the auspice of Just and Justice.

Glory to God,
Taken

Hey @Taken :waves:

Let me try an edit out on you .

God established and has approved wars as a means to fulfill His divine purposes or to execute judgment.
Is this what we are seeing now in Iran , I can't say one way or the other .

When Iran has said on the record they want to wipe Israel off the face of the planet,and are now attacking Israel and neighboring countries,would God not want to save the innocent from the terrorism of Islam?

Has Iran historically spoken about eliminating Israel?

### Background: A Controversial "Quote" That Sparked Global Disputes

In October 2005, then-Iranian President **Mahmoud Ahmadinejad** delivered a speech that ignited significant international controversy.

* **Media Version**: According to an English report by the official Iranian news agency (IRNA) at the time, Ahmadinejad quoted the late Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini, saying that **"Israel must be wiped off the map."** This phrase was quickly circulated by global media and became a key piece of "evidence" of Iran's threat to eliminate Israel.
* **International Reaction**: The statement was immediately condemned by the United States, the European Union, Israel, and others. Then-Israeli Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres even called for Iran's expulsion from the United Nations.

### In-Depth Analysis: A Controversy Over Translation

However, there has always been debate about whether Ahmadinejad actually said those exact words. Many linguists and scholars point out that this might be a significant translation error.

* **Original Persian**: The original Persian sentence Ahmadinejad used was:
> "Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad."
* **Literal Translation**: A more accurate translation of this sentence would be:
> "**The Imam [referring to Khomeini] said that this occupying regime in Jerusalem must disappear from the page of time.**"
* **Key Differences**:
* **No "Map"**: The Persian word for "map" is "nagsheh," which does not appear in the original statement.
* **Targeting the "Regime"**: Ahmadinejad was referring to the "**regime** occupying Jerusalem" (rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods), not the country or geographical entity of "Israel" itself.
* **Meaning "Disappear"**: The word he used was "mahv shavad" (to disappear/vanish), rather than the military term "wipe off" or "destroy."

This mistranslation is believed to have originated from IRNA's initial English report, which was then widely cited by international media without verification, eventually solidifying into a widely accepted "fact."

### Evolution of Rhetoric: From "Disappearance" to "Collapse"

Despite the translation controversy, there is no doubt that Iran and its leaders have long held a hardline stance against Israel. It's worth noting that in the years following, Ahmadinejad's own phrasing evolved.

* **A New Statement in 2008**: In 2008, when pressed by reporters about his "destroy Israel" remarks, Ahmadinejad clarified that his meaning was that the Jewish state would "**collapse on its own**" and emphasized that "**Iran does not need to take any action**." In May of the same year, he also stated that Israel was "**heading toward annihilation**." These statements shifted from "active destruction" to "predicting its inevitable demise."

In summary, from a linguistic perspective, Ahmadinejad did not explicitly say "wipe Israel off the map" in 2005. However, from a political impact standpoint, whether phrased as "wipe out," "disappear," or "collapse," these remarks clearly convey the Iranian government's hostile stance toward Israel.

Trump says he thinks the Iran war could end within days

~~~~~~~~~~
President Donald Trump claimed today that Iran was going to “take over the Middle East” if the US and Israel did not strike first.
“Iran’s a very powerful country. They were going to take over the Middle East. If we did not hit them, they were going to take over the Middle East,” Trump said at a news conference in Florida, echoing remarks he made Sunday to ABC News.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The man is a joke.
