It is possible to profess faith in Jesus as savior and still deny his lordship through the way you live. Many people want the benefits of belonging to Jesus without accepting the responsibilities. They want forgiveness without submission. They desire heaven without renouncing control over their own lives, but the gospel does not offer this option. Romans 10:9-10, confessing Jesus as Lord is not just a verbal declaration, it is recognizing that he has total authority over everything you are and do. Denying Jesus’ lordship happens every time you place your will, above his will, when you choose your comfort, your reputation, your plans, instead of obedience to what God has already revealed.

Luke 6:46, the question is penetrating, because it exposes the inconsistency, Lord is someone who gives orders that must be obeyed, if there is no obedience, there is no real acknowledgment of lordship, it is just an empty title. Matthew 7:21-23, religious words do not impress God, he seeks genuine transformation, but many had found a way to maintain the religious appearance without truly submitting to Jesus. When it comes to the most intimate areas of their lives, their moral choices, their relationships, their money, their ambitions, Jesus was not Lord, they were lords of themselves. They call this grace, they call this freedom, but its true name, ungodliness, because living without reverence to the commands of Jesus, even professing faith in him is ungodliness disguised as religion.

Your face becomes a mystery, your flaws go unnoticed, your blemishes remain unhealed, your spiritually active, outwardly polished, yet inwardly, unexamined. When was the last time you let the light of God search your hidden places, Psalm 139-23, David knew that unexamined hearts, breed unseen sin and unchecked sin always kills intimacy. 2 Corinthians 13:5, test yourselves, can you hear the urgency? Paul understood that deception doesn’t always show up in the form of heresy, it often creeps in through comfort, compromise and the slow erosion of conviction. Why do people struggle with their conscience, the gospel message reveals their guilt and who wants to confront their guilt, this is why people often suppress the gospel message, as it confronts each individual with their personal responsibility and guilt before a Holy God.

Proverbs 23:7, as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Your life doesn’t move in the direction of your prayers, your life moves in the direction of your thoughts. You can be saved and still tormented in your mind. You can love Jesus and still be losing a silent war no one see, because spiritual warfare doesn’t start with demons showing up at your door, it starts with a thought, a suggestion, strongholds. Start by tracing your reactions back to their root. Why does that comment trigger you? Why do you get anxious, when others succeed? Why do compliments make you uncomfortable? Why do constantly expect rejection, even from God? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what you’ve normalized and the Spirit will, because the Spirit is not just interested in blessing you, the Spirit is passionate about freeing you.

Truth doesn’t shame you, it delivers you and right now, the Spirit of God is ready to shine his light on the walls, you thought were just part of your personality. The Holy Spirit is ready to show you, that what you thought was just the way life is, was never his design. What have you built, what have you agreed with, what have you normalized that was never from God and by the Holy Spirit, tear it down, because what’s been built in you, doesn’t have to stay in you. You can be free and you can be whole, expose the lies, identify the patterns, start tracing the strongholds back to their roots. But something still holds ground, something still pushes back, some strongholds aren’t just built, they’re guarded and behind every guarded stronghold is a strong man.

I hope you don't get the fight that I do on here........
Many think its a quick prayer and carry on life as usual.. I don't know if they can't read or don't want to know. Many see 2 gospels and think Paul taught some sort of easy belief nothing more when he did not!
Yes, he pressed that we are saved by faith, but he also taught godliness and walking in the spirit putting to death the deeds of the flesh.- being transformed-- born anew by the Spirit.- walking in newness of life after dying with Christ. Ro 6
We come filthy and the Good Lord washes us and also changes us by His Spirit. It is a lifelong walk..abiding & growing. God working in us!
I don't know why but seems they see that as a work of the law.. everything other than faith is seen as a work to save yourself. It's very sad.
There is so much more to it. Could be why Paul reminds believers to examine themselves to see if Christ is in them.

Titu 3:5-7
Gal 2:16
Eph 2:8-9
Rom 3:28
Rom 4:5
Rom 5:1
Now where does Paul (Romans to Philemon) include works/believer performance as a requirement to be saved & sealed ?

This is where the meaning of life starts to come into focus, if God is eternal and self-existing, then our purpose can’t be found in temporary things and yet, that’s where so many of us look, success, status, possessions, distractions, we chase things that fade and then wonder why we feel empty when we finally reach them. That emptiness isn’t a flaw, it’s a signal, it’s pointing us toward something eternal, because we were created by an eternal God for an eternal purpose. This is why understanding who God is, answers one of the deepest human questions, why are we here? If life were an accident, meaning would be something we invent, but if life is created, meaning is something we discover and God doesn’t hide that meaning from us.

The Bible consistently shows that knowing God isn’t just about information, it’s about relationship, the same God who exists outside time chose to step into history to reveal himself, not because he needed us, but because we need him. Once we begin to understand God’s nature, an eternal God invites trust, a self-existing God offers stability, a sustaining God gives purpose, our life gets anchored. Storms still come, but they no longer define us, because if God is uncreated, eternal and self-existing, then reality itself has purpose, truth isn’t something we invent, it’s something we discover. Life isn’t a random accident, it’s a gift with intention behind it, Revelation 1:8, God Stands at the beginning and the end of everything, history isn’t moving in circles, it’s moving towards something and our life is part of that story.

That feeling isn’t weakness, it’s awareness, it’s our soul recognizing that it was made for more than what fades, Isaiah 40:8, everything eventually slips through our fingers, even the things we love most in this world are fragile, but God is not. Not only did God create everything, he continues to sustain everything right now, in this very moment. Acts 17:28, our life is not self-powered, it is upheld, every breath we take is borrowed, every moment we experience is given and that doesn’t make life meaningless, it makes it sacred. We may not understand everything about God, but we can trust him, because unlike everything else in life, he does not change, fade or fail, because God is not confined to a place, a ritual or a tradition, but he is present, he is near and he invites relationship, not just belief.

Ephesians 1:15-23, Paul prays that we would wake up to the fact, that we as God’s people, we are God’s own special treasured possession, God created a special people, who are unique and holy, who are distinct and different than the world around us, precisely to be the witnesses to his mercy and grace to the nation’s.

In Luke 4:16-30, this is the scene where Jesus preaches in his hometown in the synagogue. Starting in Luke 4:23, Jesus is harsh with how he responds to these people. Jesus said, You’ve all heard about the things that I have done in Capernaum and other places. Doubtless, somebody here is going to say, physician heal yourself. Let’s see some of those miracles that we heard about in Capernaum, can you do that here. Jesus did do a few things, but he doesn’t do what he could do. Why, because Jesus was just shocked at their unbelief and to dig at them, he said, You know there were lots of widows in the days of Elijah, but only one of them had enough to eat and drink. Only one of them got by, the one from Zarephath. There were lots of lepers in the days of Elisha, but only one of them was healed, Naamon the Syrian.

Paul uses Abraham, pre-law, pre-circumcision, he’s trying to make the point, it’s by faith. Salvation is by faith, there’s no personal merit and performance has nothing to do with a right relationship to God. Allegiance, there’s never a question in what a believer should believe. We sow what we reap, but as far as our relationship with God, we worship no other. This is what God wants from us, believing loyalty.

Atoning sacrifice, this language of sacrifice is really significant. 1 John 1:5-2:2, vandalism, “sin” that we introduce into God’s good world, but what does Jesus do about that? The blood of Jesus purifies us, a metaphor for Jesus’ death, his execution on the cross. Purification is connected with forgiveness, the death of Jesus provides the meaning of forgiveness, that forgiveness purifies us. That death of Jesus by which we’re forgiven is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, two parties at odds with each other, the way that damage or harm is dealt with, so that the two can be made at one. It’s about relational repair and reconciliation.

Another problem Paul addresses is the issue of Jesus’ resurrection and the future hope of Jesus’ followers. There were some people in the church who were saying that the idea of resurrection is ridiculous and doesn’t really matter to being a Christian. Paul reacts to this, he begins by saying that the resurrection is an indispensable part of the gospel. We believe in it, because of the hundreds of eye witnesses that saw Jesus alive in a physical body after being publicly executed by the Romans.

What is Paul up to in his letters? Paul’s core conviction is that fundamental change happens to us, when our very sense of who we are is completely revolutionized behavior, follows our sense of identity. Don’t live like the Gentiles, because we are something new, we are all new kinds of humans now, Ephesians 4:17-32.
