Confucianism in China,it was never a religion.It is a culture.You can think of it as the earliest democracy.But there was no such word as democracy at that time.Of course, democracy represents part of it, not all of it.

The Koran come from An angel. Told them that Jew and Christian both read the book from God.and warning a lof of things,Let them be on guard against those who deviate from the faith.So what? In the end, it still degenerated into idol worship.

Hinduism, The religious system I am least willing to mention.It may have some philosophical and society value, but not much.

All I can say is that in the end, the atheist's assessment of religion is that Religion is eventually exploited by people.Although it's not pleasant to hear and might be with ulterior motives, it is still the fact.

Finally, who can say that Christianity has not also degenerated into idolatry?

Perhaps you might say, why didn't God personally guide and lead humanity? I can only say that God left behind books.

Another perspective: God spoke to Moses, and Moses in turn instructed the Hebrew tribes with God’s expectations and promises. It would appear in general that tribes required religious leaders, who purpose was/is to speak for God to the people of the tribe.

Consider a generic religious service: a community of faithful gather in a specific place and time, under the leadership of a designated leader. (Leaders might wear special garments to distinguish them.)
The leader delivers a message, reminding the people of God’s expectations and promises.
The service is often accompanied by music, singing, chanting, . . . , all of which serve to reinforce God’s expectation and promises.

As pointed out by others, a leader faithful to God will teach the people exactly as God intends (albeit with minor errors stemming from human nature). However, leaders more interested in their own power, prestige, etc. will pervert God’s message for their own ends, and the people will suffer for it.

With the advent of writing, today’s religious leaders can learn God’s word without the intense instruction someone like Moses needed. Separating true versus false teachings definitely requires God’s assistance.
