Etc etc. You are confusing the church with kingdoms/governments of this world. Jesus' kingdom is NOT of this world.......if it were, then would His servants fight.

That's half the Gospel. Jesus kingdom will be of this world and his servants will fight.

Isn't He ruling and reigning already..? Jesus told us that all power and authority in heaven and earth was given to Him. And when He walked the earth He said "If I by the finger of God heal the sick and cast out demons, the kingdom has come to you." That's how He rules and reigns, and the church with Him. His kingdom (rule) is by faith, not by sight necessarily. He is ruling even in the things He currently allows in His wisdom.

According to 2Peter 3 the "thousand years is as a day" is the time of His longsuffering that we are to account as salvation....it is this age of grace in other words. Thousand years is as a day in itself tells us that it is a figurative number, not literal....alluding to an indefinite age or era. In that same passage it says when He returns He will burn up this temporal world. Which agrees with where Jesus said when He returns He will bundle and burn (lake of fire) the tares and gather out of His kingdom (out of all creation and existence) all the wicked....so He will no longer be allowing and longsuffering sin and evil to exist from that point onward. 1 Cor 15 also says when He returns He will give the kingdom back to the Father. His kingdom has already come and it is not with observation that we may say lo here it is or there, just as He said., but it is within us. We are not to be looking at what is seen, but what is unseen. Our understanding of Revelation needs to agree with all the scrips that came before it was written. Because it actually is really a kind of summation of them all, with the mystery of God, the gospel of His Son, at the centre.

I know I wrote in another post that Jesus is not called the king but the prince of peace, which means he's in waiting. If he were already ruling he would not have to return as Revelations states to smite his enemies.

Jesus told us that all power and authority in heaven and earth was given to Him.

His but it still needs to be claimed, exercised, conquered just as with the Hebrews where God "gave" them Canaan but they still had to conquer it.

Bible says all things HAVE been put under His feet, but we do not yet SEE all things put under. The last enemy we will see/experience being defeated is death.

Satan HAS been defeated and Christ HAS conquered (why we are more than conquerors through Him). This happened at the cross......and Jesus already saw the devil fall like lightning. Just as He was about to be crucified He said this:

Jhn 12:31
NOW is the judgment of this world: NOW shall the prince of this world be cast out.

So, already done at the cross. Just that it is not all being completely manifested yet, it is in process. It is finished from heaven's point of view, but we are in process of bringing it down to our earth, so to speak. Jesus will finish/complete it all at His return (Rev. 10:7) He is both the Author and Finisher of our faith. He who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it.

So I believe these things are on a personal level too, not just historical at the end of this age.
