Some of us know the truth.
If he had been loyal to the Constitution he would of had the contested electoral votes returned to the states that had requested them in writing so they could review them. They wanted 10 days to make sure there was no hanky panky.
The riot began as both chambers were in the House chamber. So they were all in the same place instead of the Senate on this side and the House on that side.
There were a few states that had contested the results. And the House had contested and the Senate needed 1 vote to contest it.
And they came together in the House chamber.
Just as they were beginning to debate the Capital got broke into and all mayhem took place.
After the riot, because it wasn't an insurrection, they all came back later that night/morning to finish contesting, but by that time everyone had a change of heart and decided it was best to continue and get the election done.

I don't believe this nation was ever "one nation under God," and I don't see the evidence for it.

A nation under God doesn't take another people's land by force and destroy them in the process. Native peoples were driven off their land, killed by the hundreds of thousands, and had treaty after treaty broken by the government that signed them.

And it didn't stop there. This same nation held human beings as property for nearly 250 years. Men who wrote that all men are created equal owned slaves while they wrote it. Families were split apart and sold. That was legal here longer than it's been illegal.
