The only way Americans paid any tariffs was if they purchased goods that were imported.
If you bought made in the USA you didn't have to pay trickle down tariffs.
A small price to pay for the Independence of the USA.
The Tariffs are in the treasury and are being used for America First policies, like
Trump RX, Trump Accounts for kids.
So it don't come from your tax dollars, but other countries duties.
The method by which the tariffs were collected was one of many different avenues to collect tariffs.
So we don't use that method which was the easiest, we use another one.

Tariffs are a cost to the Country that is shipping their goods into America. They pass that cost to the shipper. The shipper pays the cost at customs at the port. Or they charge the company or person that is importing those goods.

You don't want to pay tariffs, buy American made.

A few problems here.

First, the big one: tariffs are not paid by the exporting country. They're paid by the American company importing the goods, at U.S. customs. That importer then passes the cost on to you at the register. That's not my opinion, it's how tariffs work, and it's why prices went up. The exporting country doesn't cut us a check. The American buyer does. Every economist across the spectrum agrees on this, including plenty who support tariffs for other reasons.

Second, "just buy American made" doesn't work when a huge share of goods either aren't made here or are made here using imported parts. About a third of what Americans buy is imported outright, and even "made in USA" products contain roughly 20% foreign components on average, which also got hit. There's no American-made smartphone, TV, or a hundred other everyday items. So "buy American" isn't an escape hatch, it's a slogan.

Third, and this is the part you skipped: the Supreme Court struck these tariffs down 6-3 as unconstitutional — two of Trump's own appointees included. So the "money in the treasury for America First" was collected under a program the courts ruled the president had no authority to run. And now that money is being refunded, to Walmart, Apple, and Costco first, not to the consumers who actually paid the higher prices.

So the scoreboard: consumers paid it, not foreign countries. The tariffs were ruled unconstitutional. And the refunds are going to giant corporations, not the middle class. Calling that "a small price to pay for independence" is putting a flag on a wealth transfer from regular people to the biggest companies in the country.

I certainly wouldn’t consider making things unaffordable for my own people a success.

But to answer you’re question, I would consider repealing the patriot act, IRS DHS, FDA, CDC, FBI, CIA and the rest of three letter agencies.

I personally would like to see Trump apologize for killing and maiming people through Operation Warpspeed.

I would also consider ending the constant state of emergency which allows presidents to govern under Executive Orders to be a successful executive action.

That’s just a few off the top of my head. Oh also I would like to see Obama, the Clintons, the Bushes, and Biden’s, to name a few, arrested and put on trial for the crimes they’ve committed.
Yes, and Trump (arrested and put on trial for his crimes against humanity).

On top of that, I'd DEFUND the plan to bring the US under mass surveillance, end (for real) all governmental trauma-based mind control programs, and pay out damages to living victims/survivors ....get veterans off the streets and out of poverty ...take down the kill towers and oust people like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, etc ....stop funding wars all over the world and put that money to improving the lives of Americans. I'd defund and dismantle ICE. There would be no more chemtrails, GMOs, forced/mandatory vaccines. And farmers, homesteaders, and backyard gardeners would have no regulations on growing food for themselves, their families, and whoever wants to purchase from them. Of course, I would end all funding for abortions and surgeries to mutilate sex organs.

Well .... that's a handful of things. Lol
There's plenty of money for rescuing our economy if we stop forking over money to the elites, funding and starting wars, building surveillance centers, trafficking children, spraying poisons into the air/land/water supplies.... building shrines to Trump, tearing down the WH and building lavish ball rooms, etc, etc, etc.

He's not doing any of the things you listed, or any of the things I listed either. Which makes it abundantly clear that Trump isn't actually there to make America great again.

Tariffs are taxes on imported goods that raise prices, protect domestic industries, and can influence trade and consumer behavior.

Definition and Purpose

A tariff is a tax imposed by a government on goods imported from another country, sometimes called a duty or customs duty govfacts.org govfacts.org+1. While most tariffs target imports, they can occasionally apply to exports. Governments use tariffs to protect domestic industries, generate revenue, and exert economic leverage in international trade. Politically, tariffs can also serve as a tool to respond to foreign trade policies or sanctions.

I am definitely not a fan of Walmart. However, the other day I needed some things that I can't get at the grocery store.
I bought a Box Fan 3 speed turbo even, made in the USA for $12.
My dad can't use an air conditioner because it messes with his arthritis.
I use these Readers, cheap reading glasses, usually pick up a pair at Dollar General or Family Dollar for $10 a pair.
I got 10 pairs for $10 at Walmart made in the USA
My dad's hearing is going. And so I bought a pair of those hearing aids that go over the ear. They should be delivered tomorrow. I hope they help. $53. Made in the USA.

But then there is the Market, and Consumer Demand, etc etc, and Stock prices.
I don't do financial stuff that's out of my league but I do listen and try to learn a little as I ago.

This is about a week ago:

Always include BOTH sides of the evil equation:

Trump & Biden
Bush & Obama
Bill Clinton & Hillary Clinton
Gates & Zuckerberg

We don't really have domestic industries left to protect. NAFTA and GATT sent almost all of our manufacturing overseas decades ago.

So when nearly everything an American can buy is imported, consumers have no domestic option to switch to. We're forced to buy the imports and eat the higher prices.

Ok, so I guess you should start watching companies coming back to the US.
It takes time to rebuild what was destroyed, but it's happening.
Have to bring back trade skills so we can rebuild.
And right now there are a lot of companies looking for people learning new skills and trades.
Nothing just happens overnight except tearing down things, rebuilding takes time.

I truly wish that were true but the ruling class is done with the middle class. They don't need us anymore. AI and robotics are replacing us, and Trump and his tech-bro billionaires are the ones building it.

It's been rough the last few decades.
But I believe we are getting back on track.
It has been rough but things are getting worse and the things that Trump is doing is making it worse, not better. Make America Great Again is slogan, everything Trump is doing is making things worse exponentially.

Tariffs, war in Iraq, building data centers that are using up or polluting all the drinking water, forcing farmers out of business creating homelessness like nobody ever has in the past.

I suppose it depends on who you listen to.
The Tariffs are being used as leverage. You tariff us, we are going to tariff you back. That hasnt happened for a long long time.
They reduce theirs, we'll reduce ours. Then some countries wouldn't allow us to sell our goods in their country and yet they had an open market in ours.
It's about making things Fair.

You mean Iran? There is a lot more to Iran than meets the eye. Iran was caught influencing our elections, ust lie Russia and China and Venezuela and Italy, everybody had their hands in our elections.
Then you have nuclear weapon capability in the hands of some pretty dangerous people.
They ran terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and there probably a few more we don't even now about.
And they been causing havok all around the world.

I don't even know what those Data centers are. I do know that they are built to recycle the water that goes through them, or so I've heard.
They are supposed to be building their own electric supply so they don't draw from the electric grid, and what they don't use they sell to the government to keep the grid from crashing.

Farmer's aren't being forced out of business, just the opposite. A lot of the regulations that the Government had on them have been removed, like, if there was a little bit of standing water, the Government would come in and claim that as protective area, or some such stupid thing, reducing their land mass for farming.
I know fertilizer, but there is also the ability now to write off depreciation in one year rather than have to spread it over 5 years, which frees up capital to invest more in your own farm.
No death or inheritance tax, meaning you can leave the farm to the kids without them having to pay the Government Taxes just to keep it.

Some things you don't see on the surface. like fertilizer, but other things are being built in that last a lifetime.

Again, things take time. Bills have to pass congress and become laws.
Follow what Congress is doing and the Bills they are passing.
That's what I do.

Thank you for the correction, yes I meant Iran. Taking over Iran has been in the plans of the globalists since we’ll before 9/11. Do you remember when Wesley Clark said the following?

Wesley Clark (retired US Army General, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander) is well known for a story he told publicly around 2007. He said that shortly after 9/11 (in 2001), he visited the Pentagon and was told by a general that the US planned to attack a list of countries over the coming years. In his telling, a memo described taking out seven countries in five years — he named Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and finishing off with Iran. Clark expressed shock at this, and the story became widely cited as evidence of pre-planned regime-change wars in the Middle East.

Do you remember PNAC?

PNAC was a neoconservative think tank founded in 1997, and it's the one most associated with the regime-change plans that Wesley Clark's account echoes. Its members included many figures who later held senior positions in the George W. Bush administration — people like Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, and others.

Trump didn’t invade Iran over election meddling or nuclear weapons, Trump is completing what Bush Sr. started and all of this ties directly back to Israel.

Trump and the press: During his speech, he paused his defense of democracy long enough to threaten the press.

ABC and NBC had declined to carry the address live, he complained, because “they know that the system is corrupt” and “they want it to continue.”

The networks were not exercising editorial judgment; they were “part of a plot,” he declared.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Their licenses should be revoked.”

Having produced no evidence that the broadcasters were concealing election fraud, Trump treated their refusal to televise his accusations as proof that the accusations were true.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Where did we hear this before?
Sounds like 1930-40s Germany all over again.
He's had plenty of practice fine tuning his art of accusation; that's all he's done his whole life, and now it's second nature for him. I remember Ed Koch once said: "If Donald Trump is squealing, I know I'm doing something right."

I know, but those people aren't in charge anymore.
And Trump doesn't want to go by their "plans" .
Did you watch the New IRAQ Prime Minister visit the WH the other day?
No you didn't because you hate Trump, I get it.
Syria is being run by well, we'll see how Syria goes, that one is sketchy. Lebanon and Israel are trying to find a path to peace, but there are still Hezbollah factions inside Lebanon and some people in Israel that don't want that to happen.
I don't trust Bibi. But that doesn't make Israel evil because they have someone really sketchy running it.
Those African countries, Libya, Somalia, don't forget North Somalia which is kind of at war with it's southern part, Somaliland I think it's called, and Sudan. we don't want to take them over, I know the plan was to set up our own puppets or Britains puppets , somebodies puppets, but that's not happening now.

They Hate Trump because he won't fall in line with their globalist plan.
And I know you don't believe me, but that's ok. Time will show what is actually happening in those countries now.

Somalia has always been a Pirating country. we were at war with them back in the early 1900's for stealing our cargo ships and goods.
Some things never change.

You Know Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, all worked for the Globalists. Cheney with his Haliburton contracts, Rumsfeld "losing" 2 Trillion dollars from the Pentagon.

We're not playing that game anymore. And that's why they try to assassinate Trump. Because they can't buy him, they can't own him.
As well as the Clinton's and the Obama's.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is doing a lot to try to work some cohesion and peace in those countries. Not for our sake, but for theirs.

This country been under a lot of persuasion from other countries and globalists to do their bidding for them.
We're done with that.

Everyone wants us to be involved and solve their problems for them, but sometimes they have to find a way to solve those problems themselves.
Sudan has a lot of fingers in that pot, between Russia and China and Türkiye, Iran..

I hear what you are saying, but this Administration isn't playing those same games.
We really do want to find a way to peace for all countries. And for them to have their own Sovereignty instead of being controlled by big countries with big weapons that have no skin in the game. They just love war.

I’m trying to understand why you think Trump the billionaire psychopath is here to save us from the billionaire psychopaths.

For example, If Trump was on our side, why would Trump chose JD Vance as his vice president? JD Vance is literally Peter Thiels little protege. He was groomed and financed but Peter Thiel.

I’ll remind you that Peter Thiel runs Palintir, a deepstate spy and surveillance AI company and the guy who was giving speeches on why he wasn’t the antichrist. The same guy who when asked should humanity survive studdered and couldn’t answer the question for a couple minutes.
