Sorry but your allegorical reinterpretation does not withstand Scripture. NOr history and present day trends. The "mark" is "charagma" which means a brand. Just because Revelation has symbolic language, does not negate that there are also literal events.
Simply quoting the Greek word
charagma does not prove the mark is a literal, physical brand. It could means that people are spiritually branded by Satan so that they become his. Beside, words derive their meaning
from context, and Revelation is a book filled with signs and symbols (Revelation 1:1). If you insist the mark is literal, then be consistent and prove from Scripture why the beasts, horns, heads, and the Lamb are not interpreted the same way. Context—not a dictionary definition—determines the meaning. Get it?
And why should we believe your spiritualized interpretations over dozens of others. You are sounding much like a JW now.
Comparing my interpretation to the JW, Mormon, Seventh-day Adventist, or Gnostic systems is a false comparison. Different groups may use spiritual language, but the question is not
who says something—it is whether the interpretation is faithful to the whole counsel of Scripture.
Spiritual discernment is not the same as merely making something symbolic. Revelation itself tells us it was communicated through signs and symbols (Revelation 1:1). The issue is not whether an interpretation is "spiritualized," but whether it follows the biblical pattern and context.
If you disagree, then address the Scriptures and the interpretation itself. Labeling it with a group name is not a biblical rebuttal. That is weak argument.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-13
and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them
strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. ...
Tell me, exactly what is strong delusion and what lie is it? Let see if you know what God talks about here, per context.
Babylon the Great is the city or capitol of the Antichrist.
Where does it say in the Bible? Chapter and verse please.
Mystery Babylon, the Mother of all Harlots is the religious system until the false prophets orders the world to worship the Son of Satan.
Hear this false doctrine before. Bet you do not know exactly who Mystery Babylon is.
The fat that these two are people is established beying refute in SCripture.
Two people, really? So your interpretation is that the beast is one individual human being, and the second beast—the one with two horns like a lamb—is another individual human with supernatural power arising somewhere in Europe or Rome? Seriousily, but where exactly does Scripture say that?
The problem is that you are assuming the very interpretation you are trying to prove. Revelation is filled with symbolic imagery: beasts, horns, heads, woman, locusts, crowns, and numbers. Yet suddenly you want to force the beasts into two literal men because that fits your false end-times doctrine - the same doctrine that false predicted the mark of the beast many times before. Not impressed.
The so-called "Left Behind" framework and premillennial traditions have brainwashed many people to read Revelation through a modern lens rather than letting Scripture interpret Scripture. The question is not what a popular theory teaches—the question is what Revelation itself reveals. Spiritual discerned, of course!
Once again let me ask you- why should we believe you, or the plain sense of the Inspired Word of God or the dozens of others who have givewn their interpretations that differ from yours?
I never asked anyone to believe me. I am not presenting myself as the authority—I am simply a witness testifying to what I believe the Word of God teaches. The question is not whether you should believe
me; the question is whether you will examine the Scriptures and seek the truth of God’s Word.
Truth is not determined by a popularity contest or by counting how many interpretations exist. Many voices can disagree, but that does not make all interpretations equally correct. Jesus Himself said that those who have ears to hear should hear (Matthew 11:15).
Whether you receive it or reject it is not ultimately between you and me—it is between you and God. Spiritual truths are discerned spiritually (1 Corinthians 2:14). If someone refuses to see what Scripture reveals, no amount of argument will open their eyes. That is not my decision to make; it is a matter of the heart before God.
Selah!
