The video is very moving and raises the issue of civilian casualties in war.
Ecclesiastes says there is a time for war and a time for peace.
When there is a just cause for a war, we know children will be killed.
At times like this, it is a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils.
The bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki in 1945 brought this dilemma into a sharper focus than ever before.
The morality of war cannot be determined solely by the number of civilian casualties incurred in fighting.
The level of threat to people by not combating the aggressor must be a part the process.
It is always easier to be critical than it is to provide an alternative solution to eliminating the threat.

We need to understand that prediction does not equal causation. When the scripture says there is a time for war and a time for peace it is purely stating the facts of living on a dysfunctional planet. It is predicting this is how it will be as long as sin is alive and well.
This statement does not cause wars or peace, it is simply stating the present reality.
If I was close enough to say anything its likely I would be a victim too, so I would say let us put our trust in Jesus Christ.
I agree. But if the people making the decisions to go to war on both sides actually valued life, I don't think there would be any wars. So that is the basic issue in my opinion, there is always something more important than the life of one child.

Jesus has shown us the works of God. Jesus laid down his life for his enemies. This is a logic so foreign to us as sinful humans we had to get rid of him.

Just War theory is a pagan concept, traced back to Ancient Egypt.
Egyptian ethics of war usually centered on three main ideas, these including the cosmological role of Egypt, the pharaoh as a divine office and executor of the will of the gods, and the superiority of the Egyptian state and population over all other states and peoples.
Egyptian political theology held that the pharaoh had the exclusive legitimacy in justly initiating a war, usually claimed to carry out the will of the gods. Senusret I, in the Twelfth Dynasty, claimed, "I was nursed to be a conqueror...his [Atum's] son and his protector, he gave me to conquer what he conquered."
Later pharaohs also considered their sonship of the god Amun-Re as granting them absolute ability to declare war on the deity's behalf. Pharaohs often visited temples prior to initiating campaigns, where the pharaoh was believed to receive their commands of war from the deities. For example, Kamoseclaimed that "I went north because I was strong (enough) to attack the Asiatics through the command of Amon, the just of counsels."
A stele erected by Thutmose III at the Temple of Amun at Karnak "provides an unequivocal statement of the pharaoh's divine mandate to wage war on his enemies."
As the period of the New Kingdom progressed and Egypt heightened its territorial ambition, so did the invocation of just war aid the justification of these efforts. The universal principle of Maat, signifying order and justice, was central to the Egyptian notion of just war and its ability to guarantee Egypt virtually no limits on what it could take, do, or use to guarantee the ambitions of the state.

If that was the primary motivation, then it cannot be called a just war.
However, whether they were the motivations for every war is debatable.
