Jesus will build the temple, see Acts 15:15-18. The temple area contained more than just the Holy place.

There is no temple in the new heavens and earth (Revelation 22:22).
William, look at v.14 right before that quote: "Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name."

Then James says "to this agree the words of the prophets" and cites Amos on rebuilding David's tabernacle.

That's James saying the prophecy is being fulfilled *right then*, in the Gentiles being grafted into the church — not pointing ahead to some future rebuilt temple.

Rebuilt temple is also noted here:

"After this I will return, and I will rebuild the dwelling of David, which has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins and I will set it up" (Acts 15:16, citing Amos 9:11-22, Jeremiah 12:15, Isaiah 45:21).

God's acceptance of gentiles into the faith (Acts 11:44-48) was good news for the gentiles, since the gentile nations (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome) were not very nice to the Jews.

William, I read those verses as being fulfilled at that time. Can you explain what in those verses makes you think it's not? What am I missing?

I was responding to another poster who said we *are* the temple. I agree, believers are the temple of God, in the sense that the Spirit of God dwells in believers (1Corinthians 3:16-17). But IMO the temple of God will be rebuilt, and it will be present all through the millennial reign of Jesus.

In the beginning there was no temple, rather Adam and Eve fellow-shipped with God. There will be no temple in the new heavens and earth (Revelation 21:22).

Rev 6:13 and the 6th seal likening the stars falling to that like a fig tree being shaken and her figs, I’m not making that distinction, scripture is. It’s no coincidence that the parable of the fig tree is then given and explained right after the 6th seal cosmic signs of the stars falling and the heavens being shaken are given in Matt, Luke, and Mark.

Your statement above that I underlined is misaligned Scripture. The parable of a fig tree is NOT explained within the 6th Seal events. And the "untimely figs" metaphor is given to point to the winter fig that grows in the winter and falls off in the spring, being an early fig. It is a symbol given to point to the Biblical fact that the Antichrist comes first to play Christ before Lord Jesus actually does return to destroy him.

And that Biblical Truth, the coming of a pseudo-Christ first to Jerusalem to play Jesus Christ, is completely missing in your interpretation of Bible Scripture while it is clearly written and warned of by Lord Jesus and Apostles Paul and John (Daniel 8; Daniel 9:27; Daniel 11:21-39; Matthew 24:23-26; 2 Thessalonians 2; Revelation 13:11-14; 2 Corinthians 11).

The 3rd woe follows the 2nd woe "Quickly" that will see the second coming and final judgement Rev 11:14-18

Revelation 11:14-18KJV
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
Verse 14 is saying that the third would soon be revealed. Which it was in Revelation 12:12.

You never did answer what woe number to the inhabiters of the earth is the woe in Revelation 12:12 ? Why do you neglect the magnitude of Satan being cast down to earth having great wrath knowing that his time is short ?

IMO: The seven Jewish holidays point to seven acts of the Messiah:

o Passover: "Slain as a lamb" (Is 53:7)
o Unleavened bread: "Sinless body in the tomb" (Is 53:9)
o First Fruit: : "First fruits from the grave" (Ps 16:10)
o Pentecost: "Sends the Spirit" (Joel 2:28)
o Trumpets: "Returns in judgment" (Daniel 7:13)
o Atonement: "Atones for Israel" (Is 59:20)
o Booths: "Millennial reign". (Ps 72:11)

(Levin permeates and transforms, as does sin.)

Try Google "blood moon" for a picture, it's a lunar eclipse. Jesus died during a blood moon (April 3, AD33 ), and Jesus will return during a blood moon (Joel 2:31, Revelation 6:12).
Jesus isn't going to return and build a temple, first time I ever heard that one

Jesus Is going to return in the heavens in fire and final judgement, dissolving this earth by fire, (The End) as you've been shown several times

Revelation 19:
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Jesus will slay them with the words He shall speak.

Your claim is "False"

The 3rd woe follows the 2nd woe "Quickly" that will see the second coming and final judgement Rev 11:14-18

Revelation 11:14-18KJV
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Jesus Christ Returns In Fire And Final Judgement, Dissolving This Existing Earth By Fire, Immediately After The Tribulation

This Existing Heaven And Earth Will Be (Replaced) By The New Heaven, Earth, Jerusalem, A New Creation, At The Return Of Jesus Christ

(Behold, I Make All Things New)

2 Peter 3:10-13KJV
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 21:1-5KJV
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Matthew 24:29-30KJV
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

1 Corinthians 3:13KJV
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

Luke 17:29-30KJV
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9KJV
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance
on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Malachi 3:2KJV
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

Psalm 46:6KJV
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

Psalm 50:3KJV
3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

Psalm 97:5KJV
5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

Isaiah 66:15KJV
15 For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Zechariah 14:12KJV
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Nahum 1:5-6KJV
5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

Revelation 20:9KJV
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Some claim that the Matt 24:30 PROPHETIC event is the same event as :-
1 Thess 4:17 - MYSTERY 'age' event.
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Jesus will build the temple, see Acts 15:15-18. The temple area contained more than just the Holy place.

There is no temple in the new heavens and earth (Revelation 22:22).

Try Google "blood moon" for a picture, it's a lunar eclipse. Jesus died during a blood moon (April 3, AD33 ), and Jesus will return during a blood moon (Joel 2:31, Revelation 6:12).
Acts 15:15-18 doesn't mention a temple:

Act 15:15-18 (NKJV) And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: 'AFTER THIS I WILL RETURN AND WILL REBUILD THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID, WHICH HAS FALLEN DOWN; I WILL REBUILD ITS RUINS, AND I WILL SET IT UP; SO THAT THE REST OF MANKIND MAY SEEK THE LORD, EVEN ALL THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, SAYS THE LORD WHO DOES ALL THESE THINGS.'

The commentators I have read on those verses say that this indicates a spiritual building. Anyway, what is the context of those verses? Not the Second Coming, but a dispute about whether Gentile Christians needed to be circumcised:

Act 15:1-2 NKJV And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved." Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question.

Then just before the verses you mentioned, we read:

Act 15:13-15 NKJV And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, "Men and brethren, listen to me: Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:

So James quotes the verses because he says they support what he has been saying about God visiting the Gentiles, not about eschatology.

Jesus was making comparisons to what the world will be like at the time of His return in Luke 17:24-37.

Luke 17:26-27 comparison to the days of Noah when the flood destroyed everyone not in the Ark - days of God's wrath.
Luke 17:28-33 likewise, a comparison to the days of Lot and the destruction of Sodom - destroyed by God's wrath.

Luke 17:34-37 describes the days of the great tribulation - when God's wrath will be poured out.

So, in summary, Jesus was foretelling the condition of the world when it shall see the sign of the Son of man appearing in heaven (Jesus revealed) and His return 45 days later.

Truth717 says:
<Jesus isn't going to return and build a temple>

Bible says:
< He will build the temple of the Lord> (Zechariah 6:13)

Truth717 says:
<Jesus is going to return in the heavens in fire, dissolving the earth in fire>

Bible says:
<since all these things are to be destroyed> (2Peter 3:7, Revelation 21:1-2)
That is after the Millennial reign of Jesus.

The coming of the false Christ isn’t missing at all, I just didn’t feel the need to mention it as it wasn’t what was being discussed.

It's part of the 6th Seal, so yeah, we have... been discussing that subject of the coming false-Messiah, for that's what the stars falling as "untimely figs" is about. And I pretty much mentioned that to you from the start.
