I would equally argue that it is absurd to compare great tribulation(Matthew 24:21) with that of Noah's flood, that Noah's flood is the greater of the two. No it isn't. Judgment does not equal great tribulation, exactly what you are arguing with this Pretribber.
How can there be a greater tribulation than the one that killed all but 8 people in the world? I have no idea of what you're talking about.

The flood was judgment upon the ungodly, not great tribulation upon the ungodly.
Tribulation can be judgment/wrath upon the ungodly as I have told you many times. You never respond when I show you this. Here are examples the word tribulation being used in relation to God's wrath...

Romans 2:9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;

2 Thessalonians 1:6 since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you,

Revelation 2:22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.

The same way the DOTL is judgment upon the ungodly, not tribulation upon the ungodly. In 2 Peter 3 Noah's flood is being compared with the DOTL and not with great tribulation instead. And besides, great tribulation involves persecution, for one thing. Per the days leading up to the flood where is there any hint that anyone was persecuting anyone at the time? We can't divorce persecution from great tribulation. That is absurd that we can.
Why are you somehow unaware that great tribulation can refer to God's wrath, as is the case in the examples I gave? Why do you never address this?
