It’s a never ending merry-go-round in here. I don’t know how you keep doing it, sir. And with so little effect or encouragement that you are getting through to anyone. Please just know that you’ve helped me a lot, sir.

Not at all. What I am saying is EXACTLY what the authors of the bible are relating. They are speaking of what they know by experience and revelation. I do the same. I would NEVER be religious and assume I know something based on a silly human indoctrination.

If you had any wisdom at all...you would allow yourself to be questioned and allow the warnings of the bible to hit you personally. I'm not asking you to believe me...just the bible. I can provide CONTEXT from the whole counsel of God...and maybe take you one more step further into what is unknown to you. Otherwise I'm speaking far beyond what you can comprehend...although a true faith is able to grasp things that the human mind can't fathom.

Yes. Jesus is the word. If you listen to the word you are listening to Jesus. But that doesn't negate the truth that Jesus speaks directly to people. In either case His sheep hear His voice.

I mainly cite where it is written...but not always (I'm not a scripture monkey that is looking for kudos for citing verses as some here)...but there is a blindness in many so that it is AS IF I never cited anything. The same way that these same people read verses in the bible without comprehending or even remembering they ever read them.

There is a spirit of deep sleep enveloping the modern church. But Paul says (and I quote) "awake you who sleep, rise from the dead and Christ will give you light."

(If I don't write down chapter and verse people don't realize I'm actually quoting the bible...they think I'm making it up because of THEIR lack of knowing the bible).
But are we just bringing a dead letter or aren't we supposed to be serving in the new way of the Spirit now? Are we supposed to be eating and serving up things from the Tree of Knowledge (carnal mind) or Tree of Life? Teaching that is UNSPIRITUAL is dead religion, void of Life.

Yet Jesus said without Me you can do nothing. You're only partly right with some of the things you are saying. That is what happens when the carnal mind is involved....it doesn't know how to think or teach in spirit. In this case you are leaving out mercy and grace and leaving it up to people to be "good enough" and to "earn" their salvation. People who think they have "earned" certain things have a problem with pride. Where is God getting the glory here? He isn't at all. This is what I would call "fallen from grace" type of teaching.

Calling people "religious nuts" and "scripture monkeys"... ? Golly. Is that what you consider to be righteousness and good fruit? Why should anyone listen to someone who is always belittling and talking down to people like this?
Epi does not know nor can he discern to understand .
TO use scripture to call GOD a liar is only what the serpent would do and has always done .
For a twister of the word is a liar and the truth be not in him or her who d oes such a thing .
For with a real broad brush inclusivity has wiped away the ONLY gospel by which a man can be saved
and smeared it over with twisted doctrines that has omitted the ONLY salvation a man can attain and the only
righteousness of GOD imparted unto man BY JESUS THE CHRIST who is THEIR RIGHTESOUNESS .
And from whom would come good works by Faith in HIM .
but works and faith in a lie will damn all who bought and loved that lie .
And how i shudder for this all inclusive ecumeincal world . For it has done two very vile and wicked things .
IT has introduced the lie of damnation upon this world
And far worse is the fact this inclusive ecuminecal choo choo train
came in FROM THOSE who cliamed to be of Christ .
That be from whence the religoin of incluisivity to merge all the false relgoins and all decieved in christendom
to the day of their own destruction and perdition of ungodly men who held the truth IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS .
And beleive you me d ear sister , TO call GOD a liar IS VERY UNRIGHTEOUSNESS .
And yet inclusive ecumeincalism does just that and calls it truth . Who held the TRUTH in UNRIGHTEOUSNESS
and they had made and loved A LIE . and a broad path , OH ITS A LIE SISTER .
JESUS be THE ONLY way to GOD and YE must beleive on HIM , IS THE TRUTH .

epi says we bring a dead letter .
Kinda odd . Once again he is guilty of what he accuses us of doing .
HE is the one making void the dire necessity to have to BELIEVE ON JESUS CHRIST
whereby in a NEW and LIVING way , BY THE SPIRIT , we can serve GOD acceptably .
HE THE ONE omitting the new and living way .
THE new and living way is BY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST who gives us the abilites and desires to DO that which is well pleasing
in the sight of GOD . EPI omits the new and living way
and yet THINKS he has come to SHEW US this new and living way . Impossible .
HE thinks he comes to shew us this new and living way , and yet has MADE VOID the dire need
to BELIEVE IN he who IS THE WAY . He comes to teach us on what he thinks is picking up the cross
and YET denies the dire need to BLEIEVE ON HE who was crucified for our sins ON THE CROSS .

Which is worse? Sinning in your own righteousness or sinning in God's righteousness? The religious hucksters that are trying to get more money and people in the pews will tell you that sinning in God's righteousness means forgiveness whereas sinning in your own righteousness gets you condemned.

But they lie to you and turn the truth on its head.

Which is worse ...a human failing at doing what a human can do....or a human who CLAIMS to be as righteous as God sinning as a deceived human would do?

Which one is TWICE the son of hell? (Jesus said this)

Well I thank you for your encouragement sister. :) But I genuinely care for souls...as if I was speaking to my younger self. I have many children and grandkids (number 21 on the way) and as your family gets bigger so does your heart and love for the innocent.

My prayer is that those who attack me in ignorance might learn to become innocent of evil. To become guileless rather than carnally guileful.

People think that the gospel is having peace and assurance with God IN YOUR SINS. And not just that...but also claiming not only to be forgiven but also justified to be as righteous as God is...in sin. A sinful holiness...and a lawless salvation.

Is it any wonder why so many will be rejected from the kingdom? Why so many will weep and be angry? And what of those who minister lies? What will the deceived ones do to the ones who deceived them...the pastors and religious salesmen who sought for temporal acclaim? A fate worse than death???

But who will bother to look into things that lead to eternal consequences? The wise, and only the wise.

I give people here a LOT more credit than I should. I figure people know the bible as much as I do....big mistake. I'm realizing how little biblical knowledge people actually have...never mind a lack of understanding of what is written. I cite verses a LOT without putting in chapter and verse markers...thinking...people will know that it's in the bible.

BUT THEY DON"T KNOW that it's in the bible!

They think I'm making it up...based on their ignorance of God's word. So in future I will say...Paul says...or Jesus says...otherwise writing down all the chapter and verses will be laborious and too long to read. I use a short-hand with people who know the bible. But there are far too many novices here for me to assume they know that what I say comes straight from the word of God.
Carnal mind is the problem Epi........what is esteemed by man is abomination to God.....carnal mind is ENMITY with God (that is bible in case any don't know) What the bible also says is that righteousness is a FREE gift by faith, not of works........it is not merited......that no one may boast. Don't overthink it, don't pick it apart, let us just receive the word with joy and give all thanks and glory to God. Of course we need to keep on seeking and pursuing growth, righteousness and holiness......and we have our part and a price to pay, but not on our own. But a building cannot be built or finished without having the foundation in place. Christ is both the author and finisher of our faith, the beginning and the end....HE is both the cornerstone of the foundation as well as being the capstone.

Oh do let us into things with eternal consequences, for sure......but just make sure we are seeking it from the right Tree.

Sure. You accuse others of taking verses out of context while you invent a “MERITOCRACY aspect” of salvation that Scripture never teaches. Romans 4:5 says God justifies the one who “worketh not, but believeth.” Romans 11:6 says if it is by grace, “then is it no more of works.” Ephesians 2:8-9 says salvation is “not of works.”

You are not correcting Scripture. You are forcing Scripture to fit your theology. Worse, you claimed you were correcting others “by the very same inspiration” by which Paul wrote. That is not biblical authority. That is arrogance. Scripture says, “Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar” (Proverbs 30:6).

You are teaching falsely about the gospel. Works follow salvation. They do not merit it, complete it, or maintain it.

Stop accusing others of mishandling Scripture while you rewrite it to fit your own doctrine.
Acts 20:28 - Therefore, take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. 31 Therefore watch and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

Exactly. And you don't need to cite chapter and verse for me. ;)
What the bible also says is that righteousness is a FREE gift by faith, not of works........it is not merited......that no one may boast.

You speak in half-truths. The bible says many more things than you will admit to. You can't take one verse and then negate all other verses. The righteousness that is of God is a free gift that is not of works.

AND human righteousness can only be imputed by God. A righteous man doesn't think he is righteous. You don't understand humility because you are NOT humble. So you judge the world with the same iniquity that you have. We see things as WE are. So if your eye is darkness ALL is darkness. Because of your own heart...you don't see purity...only darkness...whereas a pure heart sees the purity in others. Now of course you will say that the heart is deceitfully wicked...which is right in your case. BUT Jesus says...blessed are the pure in heart...which you will DENY is possible even if Jesus says it. Because you don't LOVE the truth...but rather, you judge as you are. That's why Pharisees condemned Jesus. They assumed He was speaking from the same religious conditioning that they were theorizing from.

Don't overthink it, don't pick it apart, let us just receive the word with joy and give all thanks and glory to God.

Amen.

And that foundation which is Christ says be DOERS of the word, and not hearers only...or else the foundation crumbles and disaster happens. Christ can be built upon with many different materials. Jesus counsels us to BUY from Him the eternal materials that bring honour and glory rather than shame and eternal condemnation.

Oh my gosh, that’s a lot of arrows in your quiver!

I grew up with nonreligious people. No talk of God at all. Well, there was one, but he was mocked and a lot of eye rolling. Much later I came to see they were all very damaged emotionally and mentally. I tried for years to get them to see reality but they just couldn’t. The truth was whatever they FELT it was and they became angry if you pointed out the absurdity of their…emotion ruled narratives? The people in here are exactly like them, just with the added element of religiosity. God healed me and after many years took me far away from them.

I don’t know how you can reach a person who doesn’t walk in reality and truth to BEGIN with, even just on a human level even WITHOUT any talk of God. It seems to me it would just be an exercise in sheer futility.

Amen. That's why the refusal of even a human level of righteousness demonstrates that their claim to having an even HIGHER form of righteousness is bogus. And that's an understatement. What they also don't understand is that a free gift is only a SAMPLE of the full measure of grace that must be paid for with our entire souls. Think Pearl of Great Price.

So then these want to skip over justice, honesty, humility, ..to reach for what is fully out of their grasp...having neither righteousness nor holiness.

Carnal mind has its roots in pride. That is why it's enmity with God........and why Satan is called the Enemy. Tree of Knowledge of G&E. See Isaiah 14 about Lucifer and him wanting to ascend ABOVE the heights of the clouds and be like the Most High......Tree of Knowledge is about being like God knowing good & evil (carnal mind). It comes from pride and it breeds pride. And Job 41 is about Leviathan the king of pride (serpent/dragon). We need the mind of Christ...to serve in the new way of His Spirit, not the dead letter that is a ministry of death.

It's interesting because that's how I think of your teachings....half truths, or some truths mixed with untruths. I guess the difference is that I make no claims about myself. Oh well, God will judge between us.....who am I? I just know I cant' eat from this Tree and it has been disappointing. But it's alright....the Lord is gracious to show me things in His word and has given me other witnesses to glean from, so I'll just continue to be led by Him.

False accuser of the brethren, as usual. It only exposes your apparent inability to understand what some of us are saying. But I hope for your sake that it isn't wilful.

Just came back to relate something else I’ve noted in here that also happened with the non religious I grew up with. They used to do an odd thing - one particular person did it a lot - where they would sort of…get mad at me for what I said but then later, I would hear them speaking with someone else with the exact words I had said that they were ANGERED at in our private conversation! It’s like…they stole my words, my view of a thing. And at first I would think, oh, they don’t know they’re doing it, maybe they went away and thought about it and realized it was true but don’t remember me saying it. And I would get a rush of hope that they had seen something good and true. It didn’t even matter to me that I get any “credit” for having been the one who told the truth because of the hope I had. But I eventually came to see that was not what was happening. I don’t know if I can explain what WAS, in fact, happening other than to say…they did see something they esteemed as good, but they sort of stole it to make the goodness seem to others like it was theirs? And once or twice I would later say, so you DO agree with me on that even though it at first made you angry to hear, because I heard you repeat it! And they would act as if they had ALWAYS thought so and had no idea what I was talking about. They were only adjusting or perfecting their mask, their put on persona, so others would think them good or admirable. But they never LIVED as though they BELIEVED that goodness they stole.
I don’t know if that makes sense to you, but I see people do that to you in here, and just like with those I grew up with, there is one person in particular who does it incessantly, steals goodness they see, and then projects their badness onto you as if it were yours, as if no one can see what they attempt to do.
Its despicable, and they seem as if they want to appear as an angel of light to others and I can’t quite understand WHY…I‘m missing that piece.

Yes. Virtue signalling. People want to be seen as supporting the bible, God, and Jesus while they actually undermine everything that is true and praiseworthy.

And that kind of guile is VERY common among those who claim to be "born again" ...in a modern way....certainly not in a biblical way.

What people end up doing that read the bible and don't understand it...is...and this might be hard to grasp... is trade in any righteousness that they may have had...and basic honesty....for a pretend holiness based on accepting certain beliefs. As if God hated honesty and humility, truth and goodness...in favour of a belief scheme based on a lawless salvation...a sinful holiness...that anyone can name and claim. And the flesh calls that "good news".

Do you think (and it’s still despicable no matter what) they KNOW what they’re doing? Sometimes it seems to me it is hidden from them what they do. At other times, it angers me and I think they HAVE to know what they’re doing. I don’t know why it matters to me to know if they do or they don’t…except that if I think they don’t, I can pity them and if I think they do I will be angry and can condemn them
