I do not know....I don't judge that. That's between you and God...but I hope that you do or will.pryw

I am a sinner, so of course I fear God. I know myself, my talents, my weak points, the latter I fear. I am deeply impressed what Jesus said to Peter in Luke 22:31-32. I have asked Jesus to pray for me too. I am NOSAS, so enduring till the end, death.

I also know that I don't have to live in fear all days long for my salvation, Scripture states I am bought with a price, sealed with the Holy Spirit. And I believe it.

For me that's the balance (all of it above) I spoke about in post 1201.

2Cor 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. [ESV]
2Cor 5:21 for him who did not know sin, in our behalf He did make sin, that we may become the righteousness of God in him.[YLT]
2Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. [KJV]

I was replying to this v21, it's Isaiah 53 all over.

One time usage of God, so correct translation.
Not so fast. Adding the word "God" in is just another layer of error from the translators pen. They use a technique of very slow alteration to change the meaning of the text to appeal to a wider audience...sells more bibles. Another example of this is using "remission" of sins...and eventually "forgiveness". People slowly fall away from the truth in this way. What should be used in this case for the Greek "aphesis" is FREEDOM from sin.

But back to the verse in question. There is no "He made him....there is just one "he" ...it should read he was made sin...with the understanding that He was made sin by us (wicked men...not God)

And the word "ginomai" in this verse should be translated as "fulfill".

The bible translates the bible. You just have to compare similar verses. The bible never says we become righteousness, ...that's not even proper language. No one becomes humility. No one becomes joyfulness.

The word ginomai is used elsewhere to say...."Your will be DONE (ginimai) on earth as it is in heaven." That is the context....to DO or fulfill the righteousness of God. Righteous is as righteous DOES.

The global context of this verse lies with the words of Joseph who said...what men thought to do for evil, God turned into good.

So going back to the verse...Jesus, who knew no sin, was made sin by (for) us, so that in Him we might fulfill the righteousness of God. On earth as it is in heaven.

The key to the verse is IN HIM....who knew no sin...who lifts us out of sin to DO righteousness on God's level. That is the gospel.

Ohh, I didn't see the comma...I saw: Is. 53:21.
Sorry about that!

However, in the following translations:
NLT,
NIV,
NET, and
BBE
they say: God made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us ..... and that can't be because in the Greek, the word Theos (God) is only there once in the last part of the verse " that we might "ginomai" the righteousness of God in Him."

...just pointing that out....my 2 cents worth.

Sure. We belong to Christ through regeneration. But no more so than the Jews were the people of God before us. Only a few will bear any eternal fruit. Only a remnant will be saved from the power of sin. So run as to win.

He says he does fear the Lord will reject him.

Projecting his fear on forum members.
Actually teaching the fear of the Lord to the religiously smug who are settled on their lees...the spoiled children of an abused grace. Saving souls potentially.

But people HATE being awakened out of a deep sleep.

But people HATE being awakened out of a deep sleep.

Well, look at you. @Episkopos .
Here you are ranting away like a madman, 62 pages into a Spiritually Darkened Thread that is designed to please the Devil and to deceive a real christian and embolden a foolish religious person to agree with you.

Listen,
The vile Cross rejecting heresy you teach, is profoundly EVIL........however, it wont be waking anyone up.
Tho maybe one day these MODS will wake up and realize what you are, and what you are doing here on this Forum for over a decade.
All you can provide is "doctrines of devils", as you are literally defined in a KJV as a Heb. 13:9., and a Galatians 1:8.

You're the very one who teaches the lie that "The Cross is not about forgiveness".. .as you've told us over and over.
And you also teach the Cross denying blasphemy that : "god does not give His righteousness to anyone'....
Yet, without the imputed righteousness of God, you wont be going to heaven, little fella.
So, mark it down, as its a fact that without God's Imputed righteousness given as a GIFT, to a BELIEVER, who has been FORGIVEN all their sin......., = you are not born again.

So, do Let us know when you are able to comprehend that "all have sinned and there is none righteous... no not one"....which is WHY God has to provide the sinner with "the Gift of Righteousness", who is JESUS ON THE CROSS....... as otherwise you will die in your sins, on your way to hell.

So, "wake up" if you find that you are able @Episkopos

Here is listed above ...for convenience ...many of the doctrinal errors of the modern Babylonian religion...and we even get an insight into the kind of venom that spews from such a place towards truth tellers. And here is my response to such gross heresies.

1. Jesus didn't come to make God merciful. That is a lie and a slander on God's character whose "mercy endures forever".

2. Jesus came to fulfill and equip us for what we could NOT DO ourselves. Be holy as God is holy. We put Jesus to death by our extreme sinful rebellion. But God turned that into something good. Jesus came to SET US FREE from sin...redeem us from darkness and death...and quicken us into eternal life.

3. It is NOT the death of Christ that justifies us...that actually condemns us. It is the resurrection of Christ that justifies those who are raised with Him. If Christ be not raised then you can only be still dead in your sins.

4. God never imputed His righteousness to anyone. He imputes a man's own righteousness to the man. Otherwise God is condoning a sinful holiness and a lawless salvation...that goes contradictory to every word of the bible.

5. In Him is no sin. We are set free from sin when we enter INTO Christ.

Now the few points I have listed will only sound evil to evil ones. Those who elevate the flesh and subvert the truth. Come out of her My people, says the Lord.

Here is listed above ...for convenience ...many of the doctrinal errors of the modern Babylonian religion..

Its interesting that @Episkopos falsely claims that Paul's own """"Gosple of the Grace of God""", that is The Cross of Christ, that is the "imputed righteousness" of God ....that is "the GIFT of Righteousness" is a... "Babylonian religion" he teaches.

Take note readers.
Take note MODS.

1. Jesus didn't come to make God merciful.

I accept that your god isn't merciful. @Episkopos
You are a Calvinist, among other Heresies, so, of course your God is anything but merciful.
And in your case, you really should fear Him.

However, the Father of Jesus, the one true God, is indeed not just "God is LOVE" but "His MERCY endures FOREVER">.. the Bible teaches.

Jesus said, "if you've seen ME......you've SEEN the Father".
And that means that God's Mercy is the same as we find with The Lord........Its continual, its everylasting, and its perfect.

Jesus didnt come into the world to create the demonic illusion that God is not merciful, as your demonic theology would falsely state.
See, Everything about God, as revealed by The Cross and The Christ, proves that God's Mercy "endures forever".

. Jesus came to fulfill and equip us for what we could NOT DO ourselves. Be holy as God is holy.

You are a very confused religious pretender.
Your idea of Holiness is "doing stuff".

So, i'll ask you again......and you didnt answer the last 2 times @Episkopos ..

List 5 Things you do, that are HOLY............Holy in the sense of God's Absolute Holiness........equal to it.

Tell us all about it... List just 5.

. It is NOT the death of Christ that justifies us...that actually condemns us. It is the resurrection of Christ

God's Son offered His Blood and Death TO GOD His Father so that a religious pompas pretender like you, cane be Forgiven..
So, for you to falsely claim that this BLOOD COVENANT that is between Jesus and is Father, "condems us".....is such a Satanic concept.
Its amazing that these Mods just sit there and let you continue to try to deceive all these years on This Forum.

Your Theology is Cross Rejecting garbage, its just demonic religioujs garbage that spews out of you like a broken sewer @Episkopos .

Listen up ...

If there is no CROSS, then the Resurrection of Christ has no MEANING, no POWER< and no AUTHORITY.
I notice that you always avoid the Cross. You avoided it in your Salvation Testimony also....but you can always revise that as need be, .. right?

How can you be so mentally ill equipped, that you can't even understand something so simple as God's Son's Blood and Death as forgiveness for YOUR Sin.... as this is the Heart of the Cross, and the Heart of The Gospel.
God's GRACE is Jesus's DEATH for SINNERS.........to forgive their SIN.
Listen, the Gospel is not....>>"believe in the Resurrection".

4 God never imputed His righteousness to anyone.

You just lied again to the forum.
I realize this is your ministry, and perhaps one day these Mods who have some authority are going to realize YOU.
What a great day for the Forum that would be...

Now, Read carefully... @Episkopos

5. In Him is no sin. We are set free from sin when we enter INTO Christ.

Listen again.....

Noone can enter into Christ until their SINS are washed in the Blood of Jesus., "Purged" "forgiven"..... and THE CROSS of Christ is the WAY there..... John 14:6

= You have to be SINLESS......>FORGIVEN.......before you can become born again, "in Christ" and "one with God".
