These sin advocates don’t have a solid answer.

They believe no one lives a sinless life after being saved.

When the scripture is clear:

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

These once saved always saved believers don’t seem to realize that they keep the works of the devil intact and prosperous with their damnable doctrine.

It’s a lost cause arguing with those brainwashed folks it seems…
Maybe those who believe the others are 'brainwashed' can use their 'expert' knowledge of the Bible to list the verses where Paul teaches at what point occasional sin becomes a sinful life.
No hurry Mi, take your time :)

And the verses where Paul teaches the difference between occasional sin and a sinful lifestyle are ?

I’m not involved in that debate. Nor have I insisted that there is a difference between occasional sin and a lifestyle of sin.

As I said, carry on with whomsoever you were having that conversation with. It’s not me. I was making a comment on an unrelated matter.

The way I see it, God's purpose will stand. There is nothing in the Scriptures that I've seen telling us God will remove His ownership seal from those whom He has purchased.
Amen!

What the Bible says about Arrabon

<1,,728,arrabon>
originally, "earnest-money" deposited by the purchaser and forfeited if the purchase was not completed, was probably a Phoenician word, introduced into Greece. In general usage it came to denote "a pledge" or "earnest" of any sort; in the NT it is used only of that which is assured by God to believers; it is said of the Holy Spirit as the Divine "pledge" of all their future blessedness, 2 Corinthians 1:22; 5:5; in Ephesians 1:14; 4:30 particularly of their eternal inheritance.

I think there is a line (if you could call it that) which we cross that is purposely knowing to not heed the rebuke of the spirit. In some ways its like life. You push the limits and ignore or defy the voices inside your head telling you to stop because its no good for your health. Keep on ignoring them and you lose your life.

Perhaps this is similar for your soul. Keep ignoring the signs or voices of the spirit telling you to sacrifice something you may be holding onto. Or doing something you should be doing. Salvation I think is a continious sacrificing of self to God in Christ. But not just a one off event. Though comitting or inviting Christ into your heart is the first step.

From my experience I see salvation as being transformed continually towards Christ. The holy spirit is rebuking or revealing or calling us and we are trying to give up this world and always be following and living in Gods spirit.

But it was not some big bang and I am saved and transformed into a Christlike person. I have had to overcome setbacks and circumstances. Change from the inside out. Live the faith and not just believe it.

Which includes the prodigal son. You can be saved and go out in the world and come back home to God. Though I don't think God ever leaves you and is waiting for you to come to your senses. That can be part of someones salvation. It is individual in that sense.

I think there are several verses that use metaphors like "hardening the steel" to make a person strong in faith. I think that is what salvation is. Strengthen and maturing salvation. Getting saved is just the start. Then begings a life journy towards Christ. Towards losing your life in this world to gain it in the next. That goes against every human instinct. But Christ said those who perserve to the end will be saved.

I do not defend every version of “once saved, always saved.” Some people use that phrase as though anyone who once made a profession of faith is secure no matter what they later believe or how they live. I do not believe that.

I believe those who are truly born again have eternal security because Christ keeps His sheep. Jesus said, “I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish” (John 10:28). But a profession of salvation is not proof of regeneration, and a life of open, unrepentant sin gives serious reason to question whether the profession was ever genuine.

So calling everyone who believes in eternal security “sin advocates” does not answer the biblical position.

Neither does 1 John 3:8 teach sinless perfection. John had already written, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves” (1 John 1:8), and, “if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (1 John 2:1). Whatever 1 John 3:8 means, it cannot contradict what John already said.

But there is an even more serious issue. You have previously said, “The Son is not God then.”

Scripture says, “the Word was God” and “the Word was made flesh” (John 1:1, 14). Thomas said directly to Jesus, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Colossians 2:9 says that in Christ “dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

So before condemning others as “brainwashed” and teaching “damnable doctrine,” answer this plainly: Do you now believe that Jesus Christ is truly God manifested in the flesh?

If you still deny that, then the far more serious issue is not eternal security. You are denying the biblical Christ Himself. “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father” (1 John 2:23). Repent and believe in the true Lord Jesus Christ.

and you no longer sin Danny ?

Lots of people going around advocating for living in sin these days Peter o Boy

Let me know if you ever decide to become a real Christian... I can teach you what God's Word teaches about awaking unto righteousness to sin not. Some have not the knowledge of God which is to their shame (1 Corinthians 15:34)

How does a believer today do that ?

The tares know how and are walking in a false religion just like the pharisees and sadducees

In modern times the pharisees and sadducees are the catholics and those following so called reformed theology

They all teach carnal minded man made religious traditions knowing not the Lord or His Word.

These are the tares Jesus warned of.

@Dan Clarkston

Can we sin in heaven?
Can we be outcast from heaven into hell?

This is something that I haven't even contemplated because im not in heaven yet, im not saved yet as some people think they are, salvation happens after death.
When asked if we can loose our salvation I'm thinking about people who claim to be already saved here on earth.

But since Dan has brought up this point I've been thinking if there is any Scripture to support it and Lucifer comes to mind. Lucifer was in heaven with God yet he sinned and he was outcast along with several angels. So maybe its possible that we have free will in heaven, we can sin in heaven and we can be outcast from heaven.

So of angels can be outcast from heaven maybe we can be too
I agree with you on all Armour of God.

But there is no doubt re sinning in heaven.
It is IMPOSSIBLE.

Do we not have our glorified body then?
Will our soul also not be glorified?
Will we not finally mirror Jesus?

1 Corinthians 13:12-13
12For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Just dropping by and will not be able to converse regarding this. (this site is almost unusable lately-tech difficulties)
But just look at what you posted:

A deposit forfeited by the purchaser if the purchase is not completed.
Interesting. Been telling you this for years.

And, if you remember, the writers of the NT spoke Hebrew....

Word Roots: The term likely came from older Semitic languages (like Phoenician or Hebrew arabown) into Greek.

Just thought I'd mention this.
Saw your post while replying to another member who is wondering if a person could sin in heaven.
Strange ideas circulating withing Christianity these last days.

Have a nice Sunday.

I see no scripture that supports God's saints sinning in heaven after receiving their glorified bodies and being cast into hell. Strange idea indeed. Believers will have incorruptible, glorified bodies, free from sin’s corruption and death’s power. God's saints will live in holiness and victory over sin, reflecting the glory of Christ. The Lord will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body. (Philippians 3:20-21) When He is revealed we shall be like him. (1 John 3:2) At the resurrection, the bodies of believers will be raised in incorruption, glory, power, raised a spiritual body, putting on immortality. (1 Corinthians 15:42-44, 50-54) Death is swallowed up in victory. Praise God! :D

I see no scripture that supports God's saints sinning in heaven after receiving their glorified bodies

Explain Satan starting the sinning business in heaven and accomplishing his mission to cause man to fall.

Also,

Explain the Angels sinning that were in heaven.

“…God spared not the angels that sinned” (2 Peter 2:4)

That’s why no sinners will enter the heavenly kingdom. Because if you cannot overcome sin here on earth (especially those who have trodden under foot the son of God), you will most definitely not overcome it while in heaven.

“Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:29)

WAKE UP!
