Those standing before GOD have their works listed in the bookSSS
For those standing before GOD, do the bookSSS then determine whether or not they go into the BOL ?

Notice in the passage it is only the DEAD who are judged at the GREAT WHITE THRONE of God to give account before Him according to what is written in the book(s). That's because in life those who are still among the dead have not been judged before the JUDGMENT SEAT of Christ in life.

The JUDGMENT SEAT of Christ shows we have been accepted by Him, and in life believers are judged according to what we do in the body of Christ (church), whether good or bad. And in life there are consequences for our deeds. That is rewards or chastening from the Lord.

The DEAD never appear before the JUDGMENT SEAT of Christ in life, therefore, they shall be called to stand before the GREAT WHITE THRONE of God after time given this earth wherein man might be saved shall be no longer to be judged according to all their deeds done in natural body during their lives.

2 Corinthians 5:9-21 (KJV) Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

If while in life we have been reconciled to Christ according to grace through faith, we shall not be judged at the Great White Throne, but will be at the right hand of Christ to hear Him say; "Well done good and faithful servant, receive the Kingdom prepared for you."

Pretty simple, the key is the book of life, those not found in it are cast into the lake of fire

Revelation 20:15KJV
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

What do you believe is the purpose of the OTHER bookS at the GWTJ ?

None of the DEAD being judged then shall be found written in the book of life. Only the born-again believers shall be found in the Lamb's book of life because before they physically died, they were judged before the judgment seat of Christ.

What do you believe is the purpose of the OTHER bookS at the GWTJ ?

To be judged for every ungodly deed in life, because they never believed in Christ, never coming before the judgment seat of Christ to be forgiven all their sins through Him. The Lord judges' believers both in life and death. This is what Paul means when he writes we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ in life for things we do in the body or toward our brothers/sisters in Christ.

Romans 14:9-10 (KJV) For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

We labor for Christ in life, knowing that our deeds, whether good or bad are in life judged by Christ. Being judged by Him we, who are the body of Christ (Church) shall either be rewarded with blessings from Him in this life, or in this life we will be chastened.

2 Corinthians 5:9-11 (KJV) Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

If while alive we never stand before the judgment seat of Christ, then when the last/seventh trumpet sounds it is time for the DEAD to be judged at the great white throne of God, we too will be among them judged according to what is written in the books that have recorded all our ungodliness.

The Great White Throne Judgment happens for the deceived and wicked that were NOT of the "first resurrection" unto Christ. That happens after Christ's "thousand years" reign with His elect priests and kings.

Therefore, their sins are not remitted by Christ when they appear before God's Throne at that GWT Judgment. Thus the reason for the opening of the books, and the book of Life is to see if there are any more names written in it.

That means at least some... of those at that Judgment will be found written in the book of Life unto Christ, and will be saved, and be joined with the "first resurrection". This is part of God's Salvation Plan, as Apostle Peter said, that God is long-suffering and not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Christ's future Millennial reign is for the purpose of teaching those who erred, and for many it will be the first time they will have heard The Gospel, and even the spiritual blindness God put upon the majority of Jews will be removed at that time so that they make their choice to believe on Christ without that blindness upon them. Many peoples in the world today have been blinded to The Gospel of Jesus Christ, and have not the opportunity to hear The Gospel as most living in the west have.
