What happens to the sun when this is happening?
Matthew 24
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

I looked but didn't see your connection.
Matthew 24
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Revelation 6
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Matthew 24
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Revelation 6
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Matthew 24

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Revelation 6
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Jesus gives the percentage of his church that goes, and the percentage that stays, in mat 24 and 25.
He gives it twice, almost in the same breath.
Once you understand what the rapture is, Jesus words make sense.

That is why most everyone here changes the parable of the virgins.
They need to to fit a human mind, of misunderstanding.
It would be interesting to have a discussion on a partial christian rapture...my opinion is all christians go up when Jesus returns for the pre-trib rapture whether you believe in it or not.
I started a discussion here.

Matthew 24

I believe this is the antichrist...which is the lawless one who will be revealed when the restrainer is taken out of the way.
The removal of the restrainer appears to be the pre-trib gathering, departing, rapture.

I see this as a pre-tribulation forecast.

These events begin happening after the Church is raptured. The world will be in chaos as the rider on the white horse goes forth conquering and to conquer.

Right. The Church is raptured before the seals are opened.

Do you think John saw Stephen?
I don't know.

There seems to be something peculiar with that verse....the antichrist is a conquerer...yet only has a bow with no arrows.

Then again I would think the rapture event will cause a sort of chaos....and perhaps the white horse antichrist will play off it.
Right. The Church is raptured before the seals are opened.

I don't know.

Jesus was 'cut off' at the end of the 69th week, not the 70th, nor during the first half of the 70th week. All the prophecy given in Daniel 9:24 is completed with the fulfillment of the 70th week. And it's obvious for today's Jerusalem and Daniel's people (the Jews) that has NOT... happened yet. So really, understanding the 70th week is still future for the end of this world is EASY, and has NOTHING TO DO WITH DISPENSATIONALISM. You've simply been falsely taught to throw out the idea of Darby's Dispensationalism in a vain attempt to prove doctrine error by association.
You shouldn't be so cocky about your interpretation. For most of the Early Church Fathers the 70th Week was fulfilled in the time of Jesus' earthly ministry or immediately thereafter. Only a few, in particular Irenaeus, held to a future 70th Week. Of course, his disciple Hippolytus shared that view. So, it isn't as "easy" to believe as you choose to believe. Here, you're in an extreme minority.

There seems to be something peculiar with that verse....the antichrist is a conquerer...yet only has a bow with no arrows.
If the text said he had a gun, would you assume that he has no bullets?

The reason that the Antichrist is shown carrying a bow is so we can identify who he is.

This is the false Messiah of the Babylonian religion. He is Tammuz, also known as Horus, Apollo, Thor etc., etc., etc., etc.

You may think these are myths, but that's what they want you to think.

Ezekiel 8
13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.

14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

Most of the religions of the world come from the Babylonian religion. Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Shintoism, and Zoroastrianism are a few that come to mind. The Church of Rome also has it ties to Horus from Egypt. The eye of Horus is on the back of the one dollar bill. The world awaits their false savior.

Then again I would think the rapture event will cause a sort of chaos....and perhaps the white horse antichrist will play off it.
That's exactly what is going to happen. After the rapture of the Church the world will be told that they have to form a world government to stand against those imaginary aliens. The world will be in chaos. But the rider on the white horse will bring order.

The masonic saying is “Ordo Ab Chao” is a Latin phrase meaning “Order from Chaos” or “Order out of Chaos”.

They know what is coming. War against God.

That is not true. You're making a 'generalization' of popularity numbers to try and prove your point, which does not work. Why don't you add other generalizations like, "I've been studying my Bible for 50 years so I ought to know."

Only a few, in particular Irenaeus, held to a future 70th Week. Of course, his disciple Hippolytus shared that view. So, it isn't as "easy" to believe as you choose to believe. Here, you're in an extreme minority.

The 70 weeks prophecy in Daniel 9 is laid out in simplicity. And not even one of those items in the Daniel 9:24 verse has come to pass FOR THE UNBELIEVING JEWS IN TODAY'S JERUSALEM. And that is who the prophecy is given about as written there.

The verse shows that the means of conquest will not be force.
We don't know how it will unfold...it sounds more like a position of diplomacy backed by a false sense of power. An empty bow...like an empty gun.

He goes forth conquering and to conquer. He will have an army.

You say what I said is not true based on what? Nothing. Your claims are not only unsubstantiated--they are misleading.

If you want to discuss things further, do your homework.

All one need do is a little research in the writings of early Church fathers to prove you wrong. But that's not the REAL PROOF about the 70th week still today being yet unfulfilled, and I DID give you Scripture evidence to that fact, per Daniel 9:24 when I mentioned those prophesied events were given ABOUT Jerusalem and Daniel's people, the Jews, just as written there in verse 24. And the next step in understanding is the fact that those prophetic items have NOT BEEN FULFILLED YET FOR THE MAJORITY OF JEWS IN TODAY'S JERUSALEM. The 70th week being completed is dependent upon ALL those items in verse 24 being fulfilled for Jerusalem and the unbelieving Jews.

Beware Brethren:

One of the slight of hand methods Preterists try to use to claim Daniel's 70th week has been fulfilled already is by their vain attempt to apply the prophetic list in the Daniel 9:24 verse to Christ's Church. That list is prophecy for Jerusalem and Daniel's people, NOT Christ's Church, just as the 24th verse does reveal...

Dan 9:24
24
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

The reason that the Antichrist is shown carrying a bow is so we can identify who he is.

The Greek word implies arrows.

"The Greek word [Greek: toxon] signified primarily that specially oriental weapon which we call a bow, but the word in the earliest authors included in its meaning the arrow shot from the bow."

"from Late Latin toxicus "poisoned," from Latin toxicum "poison," from Greek toxikon (pharmakon) "(poison) for use on arrows," from toxikon, neuter of toxikos "pertaining to arrows or archery," and thus to a bow, from toxon "bow,"

The Greek word toxon eventually became the English word toxin meaning something poisonous. This comes from the myth of Heracles because he dipped his arrows in the toxic blood of the Hydra after killing it.

The story of the Trojan War there many instances of primitive bio-chemical warfare, as men from both armies fall to poisoned arrows. No surprise there since the Greek for bow or arrow is toxon, and the word word for poison being toxicon.
