My question concerns the spiritual rebellion against Christ and His rule within the congregation (hint, hint: kingdom). Quoting Psalm 2 shows opposition to God’s Anointed, but how does that establish your identification of ten modern nations or an Islamic leader?

You still haven’t answered: What kingdom does the beast seek to dominate through the authority exercised by the ten kings? Go does not talking about physical kingdom in the Middle East or Europe at all! It is a spiritual kingdom so what kingdom will the Beast like to rule over before Christ's return? Selah!

Of course, you’re assuming that ten kings must mean ten individual men, political leaders, or modern nations. That is the false interpretation. You need to understand the symbolism here, the horns represent power or strength, ten represents fullness of whatever is in view. Together, they portray the fullness of that full power exercising dominion over kingdom for a short season, eg. one hour.

So return to the question: Over what kingdom does the beast seek to exercise authority through these ten kings, who have “received no kingdom as yet”?

Think about it: the Two Witnesses represent God’s elect, whom He empowers to proclaim His Word and exercise His spiritual rule in THIS kingdom. When they finish their testimony, the beast rises against them, overcomes them, and kills them (Revelation 11:7).

So, what kingdom, then, does the beast seek to seize from the Two Witnesses, humm? Over what kingdom do the ten kings finally exercise authority with the beast? Consider the spiritual rule within the congregation!! And what happens when faithful testimony is silenced. That is where you should focus on. Not making speculation with some physical nations in Europe or the Middle East according to the world evening news, your newspaper Eschatology, or according to your favorite 70's teachers.

Selah!
You first have to gives scriptures to show that it is a spiritual kingdom.

God`s word says `far north` `tsaphon,` meaning - used only of the north as a quarter. (Thus my obviously Russia

More Newspaper Eschatology speculation. Did the Lord tell you that the North is, per your 1970's teacher, the Soviet Union? Or today's Russian Federation? Of course not!

Beside, what does the "far north" (please provide the Scripture) has to do with the kingdom of Revelation 17?!

The Prophet Daniel gives more detail.

`Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of ptter`s clay and partly of irom, the kingdom shall be divided, yet the strength of iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay.
And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; ...` (Dan. 2: 41 - 44)

Time out. Do you know what the clay spiritually refers to in Scripture? And the Iron? How is this kingdom divided with both? Did the Lord really talking about the Shia and the Sunni? Come on! Show me the verse where the Lord says the Shia is clay or Sunni is iron or whatever?

The Shia/Sunni conflict is marked by strength and weakness and has been going on for decades if not centuries.

Sigh...

Being taught in the `70`s also shows that my teachers were NOT looking at their newspapers for answers.

Really? I am sure that they are heavily influenced by the doctrine of Hal Lindsey. :-)

LOL! And it is in the chapter of Revelation 17, right? Do you actually read the chapter as literal narrative consistently? Humm? Is the beast a literal animal with seven physical heads and ten actual horns? Is the woman literally riding it, dressed in purple and scarlet, holding a golden cup? Where do you see her, physical?

The chapter itself interprets its imagery: the heads represent authority. The horns represent power. The waters represent peoples and nations, and tongues. And the woman? Why, she represents a city (Revelation 17:9–12, 15, 18). Not physical city, but spiritual city! This is symbolism requiring interpretation—not a photograph of future events as you think!

Have you already forgot that Scripture also uses a mountain to represent a kingdom: Daniel 2:35, 44–45 connects the mountain filling the earth with God’s kingdom. Oh mine! Therefore, where does Revelation 17 identify these kings as "ten modern nations or their leader as Islamic?" That connection still needs biblical support which you have not done yet!

Again, what kingdom is it that the Beast want to rule through the ten kings which represents his full of power for an hour (ie. short season).
