I said I watched the video. First 5 minutes they made false claims about the southern cross not being able to be seen from everywhere in the southern hemisphere. Then later in the video they said it could be seen from everywhere. The video contradicts itself.

Fact is that the southern cross can be seen from everywhere in the southern hemisphere and it rotates clockwise. You can see this yourself if you had the guts to face the truth.

Although we disagreed with one another on the shape of the earth, we each count the other as genuine Christian friends. We never ever insulted one another. I miss her now she has had to leave the forum because she has stage 4 cancer. I continue to pray for her every day. What we believe about the shape of the earth, the moon landings, whether there is an ice wall around Antarctica, the nature of the firmament, etc. makes not the slightest difference to the matter of whether we are saved or not. Those of us who believe that the earth spherical are not following Satan. Satan will tempt people not to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, but he's not going to waste his efforts trying to get us to change our minds about the shape of the earth - he knows that won't make the slightest difference to our salvation if we are in Christ.

So true. I used to believe the earth was flat and convinced a close friend of mine of it.
Since then I made observations and studied it more closely with an objective mind and came to the conclusion that the earth is a sphere.

Meanwhile, my friend has remained a flat earther. I often try to convince him that it's false, we have our little debates, laugh at each other and jokingly call eachother stubborn or crazy. But that's as far as it goes. I still love him like a brother and he loves me.

We never insult each other, accuse each other of following Satan, geez, I regard that as being a very offensive insult, none of us are following the evil one, I despise him, that's not where we're getting our opinion from.

I often pray to God to help me not respond to such insults the same way, I often just feel like calling them a Satanist as well, but that's no good. You end up with two parties throwing insults at each other over a disagreement and your left with a dirty slanderous stalemate.

So I thank God for helping me to refrain from stooping that low with such insults and continuing to love my brethren. Praise be to Him for without Him I know i would not have such control of myself.

Yes, brother. That's why we have to take initiative to study and know God's Word first, and then observe ...and ask God to give understanding of what is observed. The proofs offered by ones who are able to conduct tests or search things out (like taking very long range photos, or sending up their own rockets, and building models, etc) ... that's all we have besides simple faith .... God the Creator knows.
