Hi everyone, I have had this dream several times now, where I am naked in public! I believe this is a common dream and is psychological and it means something, any ideas on what this dream means? Thank you!

God asked Adam, who told you that you were naked?

The Lord is showing you a season of exposure where you need to be clothed more fully in Christ. He is calling you to rely on him as your covering. This is a season of preparation.

These two passages came to mind about nakedness:
Lk 12:2-3
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

What to wear:
Eph 6:10-17 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

I was thinking of this in relation to Gods law and the fall and the preceeding mentions of nakedness and how it was seen as a wrong in Gods eyes ie Exodus 32:25 And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)

I think this was one of the fallouts of the fall. That we cover our nakedness. Its a deep seated spiritual disposition when we are in God. But we become naked when we rebel against God.

I immediatly thought of the modern world and how nakedness is seen as almost a virtue and an expression of being a full and free human. It was part of the counter culture of the 60's and 70's. Nudity and free sex. I remember going skinny dipping and if you did not join in you were not socially normal. So the pressure was already there decades ago.

Whereas before this nakedness and being a virgin was a virtue.

So it may be that this is a deep spiritual battle of the kinds of worlds we are in. One where the world is demanding rebellion of God and against submitting to Gods laws and spirit of meekness and humility and covering our nakedness which represents our fallen state.

It seems to me an obvious follow on that the world see nakedness as ok and even good as its the exact sinful state that the fall introduced. It represents a disposition against God and making the fallen world a kingdom in defying Gods kingdom.

The only time you see Christ naked or near naked is in his humility of being crucified to restore paradise and ourselves to God.

Only you could answer if this may apply to you...
“14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. ”

Many times the interpretations of "hot" and "cold" are inaccurate. They weren't terms denoting the intensity of our passion. Rather, He was saying "you are not therapeutic and do not heal the wounded" (hot) "neither are you refreshing others with a life giving sense of my presence" (cold) instead "you are dull, dead and insipid (lukewarm)

Laodicea had two main sources of water. The hot springs of Hierapolis and the cool waters of Colossae. These waters were piped in and by the time the reached Laodicea they were both lukewarm. The analogy was not lost on the Laodiceans

I used to live 30 minutes from Rotorua New Zealand, a town known for its volcanic activity with geysers, mud pools, and hot springs. 10 minutes out of town we would swim in "Kerosene Creek", a naturally heated creek with the capacity to accommodate many visitors. You could walk upstream to a fork. Hot water came out of the steam on the left, and cold water from the right, both offering the perfect mix of as you say, therapeutic hydro therapy. So i understand your analogy very well. I'm just not so sure it stands up
to scrutiny when considered spiritually...the Lord Himself drinking luke warm water caused Him to vomit it out. I do believe that you are partly correct...
They weren't terms denoting the intensity of our passion.
True, but I do think they were terms symbolizing attitude. The Laodiceans thought they had it all. Rich and increased with goods. What Jesus was condemning was their hypocrisy. They had a name for being healthy, wealthy and wise so to speak, but were in fact miserable, poor, blind and naked. The eye salve Jesus recommended was not to fix their passion, but their character. They needed to apply their own product to themselves so they could see how destitute they truly were, and how much they were in need of the right clothing to cover their nakedness... not their own righteousness, but the righteousness of Christ.
So Christ's condemnation wasn't regarding their ministry to others... hot and cold therapy, but their openness to what Christ wanted to do for them to heal them.

I have had different variations of this dream since childhood and it was rooted in trauma and traumatic memories. The dreams of being naked or half dressed at school ...that was rooted in a feeling a vulnerability, not wanting my classmates to get too close, or know the things that were done to me (etc). The dreams of being in a restroom with no walls ...rooted in vulnerability I felt every time I was in a bathroom (where traumas often took place). Dreams of having no control of my limbs and being exposed ...again, those were from traumas, (MK) programming tortures as a child. Dreams of being half dressed in the back seat of a car and being afraid a man in a diesel truck could look down and see me ....again, rooted in traumas I experienced, being transported as a child to be used in various rituals and trafficking situations. They were rooted in memories.

It's not always a spiritual meaning (as far as needing an interpretation. Ask God and He will show you what you need to know.

Hi everyone, I have had this dream several times now, where I am naked in public! I believe this is a common dream and is psychological and it means something, any ideas on what this dream means? Thank you!
In 2003, a dream of being in a dimly lit old castle, seeing a little blond haired, blue eyed 5 yr old girl (unclothed) walk in front of me from left to right. As she passed in front of me, her eyes seemed full of terror, and pleading for help. I wanted to help her, but seemed to be stuck in place. I thought to myself, "That's Kelly! What's she doing here?!" When I looked down at myself, I was clothed, but my clothes were half falling off of me and I was trying to pull them back onto my shoulders, etc.

When I woke up, I prayed for this little girl. I felt so connected to this child, like she was someone I needed to help. I kept praying. A week passed and it was still weighing on me so I called a friend to as her to pray. She informed me.... "You've had this dream before." I flat denied it bc I should remember having a dream so vivid and disturbing. But she insisted that the heat before, I had told her about this dream. (I don't remember it to this day, but I believe her.) I kept praying, and after a few months, I was looking through a box of childhood photos sent by my mother. And in the box if photos, I found "Kelly." It was a photo of myself at age 5. I was the child in my dream. This was God beginning the process of reconnecting, mending my brokenness, rejoining the shattered parts of my humanity.

Now ...Kelly was me (part of me that was shattered off by trauma). A lot of that trauma actually took place inside castles that I was taken to. So ...that part of me was "stuck" in that trauma memory inside an internal castle that was fashioned after a real castle.

The sense of feeling exposed, my clothes half falling off ....the sense of vulnerability at facing the traumas of my past. But God was in it all the way. We have to be willing to be uncomfortable, vulnerable, for God to do deep work within us.

So ....just explaining how dreams can have many purposes and meanings are not always what you think.

Btw, I can't remember the last time I had a dream of that nature. But would I be disturbed if I had another similar dream? No, I wouldn't. I would submit it to God and ask Him to show me what I need to know... and rest. Wait in Him. The more we allow God to have access to the hidden places within us, the more truth He brings, and the more healing and freedom.
