Im not relating to this scripture in the same way
You are, as far as to say we are sinning, unless the time came whereby we purposely neglected
To see the need and we ignored it.

I think this scripture is describing that whatsoever we do to the least of them we
Are doing it for Jesus, and i do not interpret it as we are to literally go to prisons to visit ppl
Or literally clothe all of the naked, rather,
I understand the scripture to be giving us
Examples of everything we have the ability to do or cannot do we are or arent doing it for Jesus.

I understand the scripture as a preparedness
To do these things if they are presented to us, with a willing heart and spirit for love of the
Brethren is love for Jesus.
I do not understand the scripture to mean
We are sinning if we dont visit people in prisons
And or if we do not clothe the naked each
Opportunity we get to do so, rather, altgough it can be a calling for people to have prison ministrys to visit is a nice calling to do, because
People can need our visits in their places of residence for us to visit and bring food or such things to them not just in a prison persay.

My understanding of this scripture exemplies the willingness we have to do kind things for
Others when we can, not that of something
We have to set out to do weekly or daily, since its an example, i believe, of the kind of heart
We are to have, open to those who we find during our lifetime to help.

This understanding presents itself to our heart
Whether or where we see the need and respond, or whether we can just ignore such
A calling because we cant go out of our way.
1 John 1:8 speaks to Linda
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we say we have never sinned we
Deceive ourselves, but to say we
No longer choose to sin is in compliance to
Obeying Jesus, “ go and sin no more”.
The word used in 1 John 1:8 is >>>>SIN<<<<<
You used SINNED - past tense to support your claim that you no longer SIN
..
2nd GREATEST commandment - love your neighbor as yourself
When was the last time you saw & suspected that someone was HOMELESS ?
Did you take them home with you till they were back on their feet ?

Yet you & I still sin.
Carnal nonsense for you to make claims for others.

…, do you claim you no longer sin ?

I do.
1 John 1:8 speaks to Linda
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Inapplicable Scripture.

The truth is…
Having Forgiven Sin,
Is Not Claiming to Have no Sin!

To Sin “NO more”, Applies TO a person WHO
HAS a “Secured Relationship BEING, IN and WITH the Lord God Almighty ….AND….the Lord God Almighty BEING IN and WITH that person.”

* Their Sin Against the Lord God Almighty…
IS Forgiven BY the Lord God Almighty.

* Their Forgiven Sin Against the Lord God Almighty, IS Covered…By the Lord God Almighty.

* Their Forgiven…AND…Covered Sin…BY the Lord God Almighty…IS NO LONGER Seen or REMEMBERED, by the Lord God Almighty.

It is MEN, who attempt to “elevate THEMSELVES” to Gods Position…
Claiming Men Sin Against Men…
Claiming Men Forgive Sins Of Men…

Sin Against the Lord God Almighty IS UNBELIEF
IN the Lord God Almighty!

AND …
ONLY the Lord God Almighty can Forgive Sin Against Him.

No where IS a man Condemned or Committing Sin For Not Believing In Other men!

Have you forgotten ? …a great number of Jews wanted Jesus Killed… “FOR Forgiving men of their Sin Against God.
With their own reasoning words…
Only God can Forgive Sin”.

If we read Jesus telling us to go and sin no more
And to be perfect like your heavenly Father,
Our sinning in past tense is no longer what
We choose, so the scripture of “sin” is
Having sinned, since sin is a choice, so we
Are not without sin as in having never sinned,
That is the self deception.
We can be sinless as we see Jesus telling us
To be, so sin doesnt have to be an ongoing
Practice if its not chosen to do, because we
Cannot sin blindly, it takes the act of our Will
And we can choose not to see just as we can choose to sin.

No i have never taken anyone homeless home,
But throughout my travels i have helped to
The capacity i could.

Each persons gifts are unique, and for one
Is different then another.

""No i have never taken anyone homeless home,""
Yet would if that person was a closed loved family member.
You break the 2nd greatest commandment yet claim to no longer sin.
Hang your head in shame.

I had helped a homeless person, yes
And i felt i did my duty

You are unfortunately not reading
The scripture correctly as far as it
Relates to what we are to have to
Do, rather, willing to do, and its
An honor system in which we answer
The call of our conscience.

You must be joking with your response
So we will let that go.

If we had an awareness to a family member
Being homeless, of course, just as we would have heard about a friend, but family or friend,
We are all one family when one hurts in the
Body of Christ all hurt!

If I give a yearly amount to a Rescue Mission, am I covered for continuing ministration?
Isn't this a point being driven that we cannot accomplish this or anything without faith?

That's 'performance' and is subject to the rewards/loss judgement in eternity.
Rom 14:10, 1 Cor 3:10-15, 2 Cor 5 :6-10
..
'Performance' is not a Heaven entry condition
Titus 3:5-7, Eph 2:8-9, Gal 2:16, Rom 3:28, Rom 4:5, Rom 5:1
