Revelation 2:10 is meant to be an encouraging statement from the Lord to Christians at the church of Smyrna who were being persecuted, even to the point of death. Jesus was not telling these Christians that if they are not "faithful enough" in addition to having faith in Him for salvation that they will not receive eternal life. That is salvation by works!
The Lord was telling them that they will receive the crown of life after death, be faithful, hang in there!
In the very next verse, Jesus said - "He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death." 1 John 5:4, we read - "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith. ONLY BELIEVERS are saved, overcome, and are faithful unto death.

If it were water baptism?

They would have had it backwards.
For they would have been water baptized, and then believed.
Every Christian is automatically baptized when they believe.
First we believed.
Then, we are automatically baptized by the Spirit into the body of Christ.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Gentiles,
whether we are bond or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13

Matthew 3:11 - I(John the Baptist) indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He/Jesus who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He/Jesus will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

2. Baptism into Christ in holiness by Spirit immersion...hint. the HOLY Spirit . Represents drinking in His blood (life)

well sadly it sure seems a lot of christendome has learned the wrong jesus by means of the wrong love cup .
Because they preach a jesus and thus a god who , SURE SEEMS TO HAVE ZERO problems
with one walking as the OLD MAN and even accepts theirs sins and EVEN accepts unbeleif IN JESUS .
BUT YE HAVE NOT SO LEARNED THE JESUS CHRIST if any man Beleives JESUS is okay with any sin or with UNBELEIF .

John's baptism in water is only unto repentance = the outward manifestation of the inward heart convicted of sin
JESUS Baptism is the REAL DEAL in the SPIRIT of TRUTH = The HOLY SPIRIT
Most christians are under water baptism doctrine.
The Good News is this: "JESUS will Baptize with the Holy Spirit and Fire" = IF you earnestly SEEK HIM for the BLESSING
You have to notice that water baptism is by the human will, whereas Spirit baptism is by the will of God.
You can't condemn a person for not being approved into holiness.

Declaring JESUS is LORD truly comes from the Holy Spirit = revealing JESUS to each person whom the FATHER Calls.
It does not necessarily mean that they are Baptized in the Holy Spirit = Matthew 16:13-17

Water baptism is the Will of God = John 3:13-17
water baptism is also the will of man thru religion = Roman Catholicism
One is thru faith in Christ
The other is thru faith in religion/man

No one has authority to condemn another = except God
