Yes you are correct,
John 7:52,
No prophet was expected to come from Galilee was the thinking of the Pharisees according to some mens interpretation.
Not no prophet ever came out of Galilee.

Thanks for calling me out on this.
I overlooked Jonah, so I was wrong. I used this verse out of context to answer the question:

I thought no prophet ever lived was from Galilee except Jesus.
I've been mistaken on this belief.
Now I know better and I thank you marks for blessing me with scriptural knowledge on this matter.
I also apologize for believing and teaching err on this subject.

What the Bible really teaches,
Jonah the prophet was from Galilee,
2Kings 14:25,
- He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel which he spake by the hand of his servant  Jonah
the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of  Gathepher

Gathepher is a town in Galilee.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem but grew up in Nazareth, in Galilee.

Amen!!!
You missed my point, which was that had anyone seen it, they would have said: I can’t quite explain this but scripture says He will come from…three different places…
And their reply would have been, NO! You are just making things up, That’s not what the verses mean or are saying because that’s impossible! Only what I see is correct! I have the CORRECT view!

I was saying the man (David C) was acting just as THEY did. He was saying and repeating what THEY said because anyone seeing anything other than what they have already decided and teach to others as doctrine HAS to be wrong because God would have also showed it to THEM if it was true! I mean no man has been taken into anything THEY don’t currently possess, right? It’s like when they ranted against Moses like…who are you that we would listen to you? Arent we all holy??

What the scriptures call a "mystery", you call "useless"...for lack of understanding. :(
From what you are saying, the “mystery” is that we can have one foot in the holiness of God and one foot in our sinful flesh (which it is impossible to be totally set free from while we live) and in that state we will do even greater things than Jesus did!
Don’t be ridiculous!

No, OSAS describes the doctrine that when we come to faith we are permanently changed by God, to be His forever children. Nothing about some "mental belief" and zero effort. We spend our entire lives in our endeavor to live up to our calling.

Much love!
I just love when people try to tell us what we believe as if they know..lol

Your responses have no scripture.
Not going to discuss Bible with you if you give no Bible answers.

I am being honest.
Also no more ad hominem or I'm not responding.
Keep studying...because much of what I say on here is scripture, some with and some without quotation marks...and apparently you don't recognize the Word when you hear it without the quotation marks. As Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10:27

And I should tell you-- Don't get ahead of yourself, you still carry that old man to the grave. Why should you suffer more only to find out it's not ridiculous?

Even so, yes, if we bring our body of sin and death under subjection of our new Spirit body within, we can "do even greater things than Jesus did!"

Not believing Jesus' word is according to Jesus not believing in Him.
John 8:31,
- then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, if ye continue in My word then ye are My disciples indeed
No it is not
Dude you have no idea what your talking about.
you need to stop
How can someone claim to believe in God and not believe what He says?

And you accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about?

John 8:31,
- then Jesus said to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My word, then ye are My disciples

Jesus teaches only those who believe His word are His disciples.
Those are the true believers.

2John 9:10,
- whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ(His word),
he hath not God
He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ(His word) he hath both the Father and the Son

Not believing Jesus' word is according to Jesus not believing in Him.
John 8:31,
- then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, if ye continue in My word then ye are My disciples indeed

ET, you believe as you've told me multiple times. Obeying Jesus' commandments from His word has no relationship with ones salvation.
1John 3:23-24,
- and this is His commandment that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another as He gave us commandment

OSAS is a doctrine of mental belief once and zero effort like obeying Gods commandments to be saved or to stay saved
No it is not
Dude you have no idea what your talking about.
you need to stop
I have no idea what I'm talking about?

John 8:47,
- he that is of God heareth Gods words(believes and obeys them)

- ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not from God

According to Jesus the true believers are those who believe His word.
ET, you believe as you've told me multiple times. Obeying Jesus' commandments from His word has no relationship with ones salvation.
Therefore believing what Jesus says is not required in OSAS.
Only mental assent(believing some Biblical facts, death, burial, ressurection) at one time in a person's life saves them and from then on they do not have to do anything Jesus says to be saved, keeping His commandments.

More proof,
I've heard in multiple debates the OSAS proponents admit to the question givenn.

Question: If you came to my home and murdered me and right as you left before you repented of this sin you died. Would you be saved?

Answer: Yes, nothing man does can separate him from Gods grace once he believed.

Jesus' word says = believing what He says and obeying what He says is true Biblical belief.

Matthew 19:18,
- He saith unto him, which? Jesus said,
Thou shalt do no muder,
Thou shalt not commit adultery,
Thou shalt not steal,
Thou shalt not bear false witness

The OSAS believer believes one can disobey God and still be saved because nothing we do can seperate us from Gods grace, love, mercy.

This is unbelief according to Jesus.
If you dont believe what Jesus' word says then you are being saved in unbelief.
Therefore the doctrine of OSAS does teach one can be saved if they die an unbeliever.

To claim the man who murdered was never really saved because of his wicked sin,
Disproves one is saved by belief alone.
In reality one must believe and obey Gods word to be truly saved.
This proves Gods commandments are required to be saved not just belief alone apart from obedience.

ET, you believe as you've told me multiple times. Obeying Jesus' commandments from His word has no relationship with ones salvation.
1John 3:23-24,
- and this is His commandment that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another as He gave us commandment

OSAS is a doctrine of mental belief once and zero effort like obeying Gods commandments to be saved or to stay saved.
OSAS teaches one can become an unbeliever and still be saved. Salvation according to this doctrine has nothing to do with the works of the saved.
Otherwise salvation is based on what man does not on what Christ alone did
Yes which is legalism
Wrong, It is true Biblical faith.

You tell me.

He said we are made children because we recieve him in faith (john 1: 12)

He said if we ask, he will give us living water flowing to eternal life (john 4)

He said if we look to the cross in faith. we will never perish, but have eternal life
John 3)

He said if we see and believe, we will not ocme to judgment, but as passed from death to life (john 5)

He said if we eat the food which endures forever. the bread from heaven, we will never perish, we will live forever. we will never die. we will never be lost, we will be raised on the last day. etc etc.

so why do you not believe him when he said these things?

Very true . And he and later the apostels all warned of the dire NEED to continue him .
Always reminding the church to do so .
Always reminding the church to do so faithfully to the end .
And warning the church that if one does not they are cast out .
You see the problem yet .
How come they all gave such warnings
and yet many NO LONGER DO .
You wanna how one can quickly realize there to be e rror in a teaching .
WHEN it hinders warnings that ALL THEM apostels gave .
As for me , I beleive ALL things JESUS said , as well as the apostels .
And unlike many , by grace i have been at war against a false all inclusive ecumenical god of intefaith
THAT DARN SURE has omitted the dire necessity to even have to believe on JESUS .
And the many are so hung up on world peace , presidents , men
THEY cannot see the lie within it all . KInda odd dont ya think .
That folks holler at me I AINT TRUS TING IN JESUS .
Yet they the ones headed right into ecumeincalism inclusivism intefaith and its interreligious dialogue
and abraham peace accords , WHICH SOLD OUT THE GOSPEL FOR A LIE .
Where are the voices NOW to defend for the gospel . Exactly .

Wrong, It is true Biblical faith.
you asked a good question . in fact it was the right question . And all had better begin to reexamine
their faith . HAS it been in men who twisted doctrine
OR has it been IN GOD and thus in Christ and thus in The T RUTH of His words .
Many have been following men who simply preach a jesus to fit their own desires .
And have rebelled hard core against the ONE TRUE CHRIST who did not come to PLEASE MAN
but rather to save man .
And now in this last and final hour the masses are now beginning to be led directly into a DELUSION
and that delusion has them merging with the false religons .
An hour of great reprobation has been unleashed and a lie that more and more love is being embraced .
But why . How could this come upon a world .
FOR WHEN HE CALLED they did not answer but rejected the love of the truth whereby they could be sa ved .
And WHEN he had sent his own sheep into the churches , they ran them out in favor of the sins they so loved .
NEITHER ONE ever knew God or CHRIST .
the false religions do NOT , or they had repented and beleived on JESUS the CHRIST .
And many in the churches did not , for had they truly had the agape love upon their hearts
THEiR LOVE had not been on sin , but ON THAT WHICH PLEASES GOD .
And that is why this wo rld will soon end under destruction .
They followed men , they hoped in men , who gave them exactly what their heart desired , and tickled those ears
WITH LIES they so loved .

Wrong, It is true Biblical faith.
verily verily i do type unto you , you hit something spot on right my friend .
MANY now do beleive that if one even dies in unbelief they are saved . NOT BIBLICAL AT ALL .
but now allow me a word to show us where THIS MASSIVE Delusion of the ecumeincal harlot
and her all inclusive father satan are fast spreading .
And that is THE LIE that even if one never believed on JESUS they still know and serve the same God a true christain does .
And that JUST DENIED the DIRE NECESSITY of beleiving on JESUS THE CHRIST
and now more and more beleive this lie . Oh yeah its g etting worse .
A powerful and mighty delusion claoked as love , claoked as t hough its for tolerance
and for unity , and for peace , HAS BEEN UNLEASHED .
And it is gonna take all not in the lambs book of life for a love ride RIGHT to the beast .
Only that love ride of theirs , NEVER WAS THE LOVE OF GOD that is was sold as being .

All these verses speak precious things. But do you think they are yours by believing they are yours? Where is the reality in your claiming?

Shouldn't you rather be claiming you are poor naked wretched and blind? But of course someone who is that way wouldn't know it.

No. It is you who bought some twisted things.

God did not just save me or others. He knew everything they did, are doing and will ever do when he saved them.

He saved them knowing what they would do.

EVEN JESUS reminded them to CONTINUE in HIM
and paul and others did too .
Yes. if we want to be blessed. serve God and produce fruit.

not if we want to be saved. That would be salvation by works.
What on earth did OSAS do to this generation . But to be honest
OSAS did not do anything. God made a promise, he keeps his promises.

the problem is Grace, which means unmerited favor. which comes from the word Charis from where we get our english word charity, is a bad word to our flesh. I hate the fact God is trying to give us charity, we reject the fact and are offended that we can not help God in some way to save ourselves.

so grace becomes the narrow gate. a stumbling block and foolishness to those who in pride recuse to accept it.
i am also seeing many OSAS and many NoSAS b eing led to the same lie they think is do darn loving

well hey brother. Keep trying to save yourself.

You can explain to God when you see him why you thought your works of righteousness could be accepted as payment for your sin.

But i warn you. You will not like his answer

And I don't love it when people expect others to have as much love for their fleshly concerns as they do.
I love it when people accuse others of doing this, while pumping their chest as a pharisee praising God they are not like the sinner.

Remember who God said went home justified. it was not the self righteous pharisee who thought he arrived on a higher plane because he kept the law.

How can people become twice dead who were never given life for the second time?
twice dead,

1. The wage of sin is death, the first death,

2. The second death -
Revelation 20:14
Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

twice dead.

as for Jude

. 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord [b]God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

since when were people who were long ago marked for condemnation. Ungodly men, who deny christ ever saved?
