Chapter 19 has the bride in heaven, becoming the wife.(at the end of the tribulation)
The `bride` is a symbol - AS a bride.Chapter 19 has the bride in heaven, becoming the wife.(at the end of the tribulation)
IOW the raptured church is in heaven during the tribulation.
Are you trying to make a case that the Church is not the bride of Christ? The `bride` is a symbol - AS a bride.
Jesus is AS a lamb. He is NOT a lamb but there is something similar - sacrifice.
Jesus is AS a Lion. He is NOT a lion but there is something similar - King, Majesty.
The city is AS a bride. The city is NOT a bride but there is something similar - being glorious. (Rev. 21: 11 - having the glory of God)
The `wife` on the other had is well known in God`s word as ISRAEL. (Isa. 54: 5 & 6 etc.
The Body of Christ is the bride. Are you trying to make a case that the Church is not the bride of Christ?

All weddings both earthly and heavenly are symbolic.Yes.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Jewels, nice pretty things etc is how a bride is prepared and adorned and we see that is more detail later in the chp.
A divorced wife. The Son is taking his own bride but no divorce will ever happen. It is of course a symbolic wedding.
Hi rebuilder,Well you got the wife/israel part correct , but the bride of Christ incorrect.
Ephesians 5
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
2 Corinthians 11
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Rev 19
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Rev 22
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely
John 3
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
Hi rebuilder,
Glad you agree to the `wife` symbol relationship with God as Israel.
Nope reread it.Hi rebuilder,
Glad you agree to the `wife` symbol relationship with God as Israel. So let`s look at the scriptures you quoted.
John 3 is when Jesus was on earth in Israel. There was NO revelation of the Body of Christ then.
Rev. 19 refers to Israel, the wife whom the Lord will connect (symbolically) again. (Zech. 12: 7 - 10)
Eph. 5 relates to husbands loving their wives as their own BODIES as Christ loves His BODY. `For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.` (v. 30)
2 Cor. 11 Paul is speaking to his disciples desiring them to be pure and that he will present them to the Lord. That is NOT us for the Lord will present us to Himself. (Jude 24)
Rev. 22 shows us the city describes AS a bride. It is NOT a bride but symbolic of the glory of God upon it. (Rev. 21: 11)

The city is AS a bride. The city is NOT a bride but there is so.ething similar - being glorious. (Rev. 21: 11 - having the glory of God)
The `wife` on the other had is well known in God`s word as ISRAEL. (Isa. 54: 5 & 6 etc.
Where did I sayNope reread it.
You completely changed it.
Wow.
Eph 5
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: BUT I SPEAK CONCERNING CHRIST AND THE CHURCH.
You reframed to say " I am not speaking of Christ and the church.
Why would you do that????
QUOTE
"2 Cor. 11 Paul is speaking to his disciples desiring them to be pure and that he will present them to the Lord. That is NOT us for the Lord will present us to Himself. (Jude 24)"
Wow, really???
You really need this one changed as well?
Please reread it without changing it.
2 Corinthians 11
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
QUOTE
"John 3 is when Jesus was on earth in Israel. There was NO revelation of the Body of Christ then."
That dialogue by JTB was perfect.
Spoken from heaven through John.maybrvreread it without the NEED to reframe it.
"28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled."
You are trying to say the Holy Spirit did NOT speak through John ?
Look at his REVELATION FOLLOWING, IN THE NEXT VERSES.
"31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
Awesome WORD OF GOD FROM HEAVEN.
PERFECT DOCTRINE REVEALED BY GODS SPIRIT.
So when was the Body of Christ revealed?Mat 9:15
And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
Speaking SPECIFICALLY OF THE CHURCH AS THE BRIDE.
UNDENIABLE
Because the whole Bible is NOT all about us!QUOTE
"... It is NOT a bride but symbolic of the glory of God upon it. (Rev. 21: 11)"
Of course it is.
Why can you discern that and no other verses concerning the bride and groom????
No such thing as a pre-trib rapture found in scripture, your continued claims are "False"Chapter 19 has the bride in heaven, becoming the wife.(at the end of the tribulation)
IOW the raptured church is in heaven during the tribulation.
Basic Bible 101, The Church is the bride of Christ, a subject not worth debating IMHOYes.
