To acquire Financial freedom, one must apply basic principles. One of such principle is "money makes money". You cannot make money out of nothing literarily i.e you must spend money to acquire money.

The things you spend could be time and efforts. Eitherway something must be exchanged to get money. If you want to make easy money, you must learn the basic principle of money. Some basic principles of money include:

The Power Of Focus Energy

Ever thought of just waving a magic wand and saying "Moneycadabra"? (Lolz I have been there too). What happens if you take a magnifying glass, a dried leaf, and a bright sunny day? Well, with the magnifying glass, you can focus the sun's rays into a pinpoint beam of light onto the leaf and I sure can bet the world that the leaf will catch fire!

Or, what happens if you can dam up a lazy river and channel the water to move at a higher rate of speed? Well, then you can focus the energy of that water into hydroelectric power.

When you can focus the potential power of efforts on anything (as in the case sunlight and water in the above examples), then you can accomplish amazing results. The same thing could be said regarding money. In our society, money has tremendous power, or at the very least, a lot of potential power. Money can be an extremely useful tool to accomplish amazing, life-changing activities. Think of all the great things you can do withj money- You could provide for the needs of your family. You could support the ministries of your local church. You could feed the homeless. You could purchase and construct water wells in Africa. You could invest money to grow at a higher rate of return for your retirement. You could buy a house. You could help a friend in need.

3 Steps For Utilizing The Power Of Money to Acquire Fiancial Freedom

Because wealth is important and money has so much potential power for good in this world, we need to know how to tap into this important resource positively. Instead of blasting all those "evil rich people," why not attempt to figure out how to focus the power of money to be a force for good in this world. God can use the power of focused money to build His Kingdom. Afterall the plans of God for us are of good and not of evil.

Here are three steps to tap into the power of money:

1. Embrace the power of money: You can either fight the power of money or you can embrace it. Here is what I mean. I have noticed that people (maybe a lot of people) have a messed up or confused view of money. They're typically afraid of it( which is wrong;why should the creator be afraid of the created). Perhaps, they're greedy for more of it. They don't understand how it works. They believe it's a "zero sum game" (meaning if I have more than you, then I must have stolen this additional money from you). Money has a tremendous amount of positive potential power that can be used for good or for bad purposes, depending completely on the person wielding power of control of the said money. I would encourage you to embrace the power of money in order to be a force of extreme good in today's society.

2. Pray for money power: Many a time, I have witnessed many christians ask this question "should I pray about money? Does God really like that?" If your heart attitude is right about money i.e seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then I believe praying about money in the right way(godly) is totally appropriate. In the past, I've prayed for the means to be able to give more. I've prayed for the means to be able to have additional money in order to pay down my debt snowball faster. I've prayed for additional resources in order to take care of the needs of my family.I prayed for a job even before I left college. I believe prayer in these financial areas was totally appropriate, unselfish, and in the center of God's will. Praying for a new Mercedez Benz or a McMansion; probably not so much.

3. Harness the power of money: So, once we have embraced the power of money and prayed about the power of money, we need learn to harness the power of money and actually harness it. We need to become very intentional about what we are doing with the money that God has blessed us to manage. We need to have detailed cashflow plans;invest wisely whilst still giving back greatly to the society. We need to be giving at least (10%) back to God through our local churches through our tithes. Our money have tremendous power and can help us achieve financial freedom if we are able to focus it.

Do You Have A Grip On The Power Of Money?

So, how about you? Do you feel like you have a handle on the power of money? Have you embraced the potential power of the money God has blessed you with? Do you pray about utilizing the power of money in the right and Godly way? And have you been able to harness the power of money to be able to utilize it to its maximum potential power to achieve financial freedom?

I would encourage you to follow these three steps and watch what happens. I think you will be amazed at the results. Focus the power of money in the right way to achieve financial freedom and allow God to use it for His Kingdom purposes.

I thought part of that requires the believer to cast his burdens on the Lord to start with? Is this something everyone truly does? Its easier to say you do, but let something happen, and then your faith truly gets put to the test, where its time to put your money where your mouth is, as the saying goes. Really, I know plenty of believers who were "forsaken", but then one would come with the usual excuse that they were never believers to begin with, or some tripe to that effect.

My point is its easy to tell someone going through absolute hell that he will never forsake you. That's not going to be enough for them, because as far as the homeless lady is concerned, he already has forsaken her. As she sits there laying up in the hospital wondering why the Lord is putting her through this, what would your answer to her be?

Do you believe the Lord was lying when He made that statement?

What makes you believe that?

Why do believe people have such a hard time believing in God?

.

Well, like I said, its easy to believe in an all powerful God that will take care of your burdens when life's going well for you, but having faith when you get hit hard by trials and trubulations is another thing entirely. It goes back to the question of suffering and why God allows it. Satan knows this, and that's why he challenged God claiming that Job would curse his name the day his life took a turn for the worse. Non believers always love to bring up Jobs story for a reason.

Those who lose faith because of adversity probably never had faith to begin with. Blaming God is easier than taking personal responsibility.

That's how I see it...

I guess the main advice I can offer, is pray for God's provision, pray for the right job, when God provides you with that job, use your money wisely, it doesn't matter how much money you make, the main thing is, is to learn how to be good saver, I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't have a credit card, I don't go buying the most expensive car or bike, I only spend little here and there, I try to spread out the big spends, I have it easy because I am still living with my parents, but at 21 I managed to get my 1st property, a block of land, I got it 9 days ago, have a good deposit saved up & I only need a small loan from the bank, but it's funny because the address number is no. 21, I signed the contract on the 21st and I'm 21 hahaha, but i thank God for my job and his provision, because if I wouldn't have gone there, if I wasn't looking for a French polisher (who had moved to a different location) to do work experience with, and I ended up doing work experience with the upholsterer that my dad asked about the French polisher, and the answer was, he's not there anymore, so it all worked out the way God planned it, and thank God for his timing on real estate in a good location for a good price, they cost lots more 10-15 minutes away, if I had left it any later, someone else would have bought it, someone else was looking at the same property a 2 days earlier, and my dad told her, my son's is making an offer and she respected that, there was another block of land next door for sale, and my dad ended up leading that lady to Jesus. Hahahhaha. So it all worked out God's way.

But i guess that's the basic, Save, save, save, it doesn't matter how much you earn, you may be on a low paying job, but if you are a good saver and use your money wisely you can end up with more money than a high paid person. The main thing that matters is that you're happy with what you are doing to make a buck.

So that's the main one, then there are the other ways, buy and sell, you can do this at a low risk if you buy items cheap that have value, like buying stuff from another country, and reselling it for a little profit, or getting second hand goods with value for a cheap price or off the side of the road from the hardwaste collection and reselling them and getting a profit, you could study the different shares in the stock markets, and earn a bonus off that, have an easy way for side income, or a 2nd job, here are some ideas, get a slot car track and some slot cars, charge 10 bucks per 15 minute session, or set up a mini golf course, bikes for hire, kayaks for hire, boats for hire, get a few horses, and give others a riding experience for a fee, learn how to bee farm, get some hives and produce honey, get chickens, sell eggs, learn how to paint, collect seashells and create things with them and sell them, try gold panning, gold detecting, gem fossicking etc. These days there are also people getting paid to walk your dog as a job, whoever came up with that idea is a genius.

There are many ways, I hope you guys get something out of that. But in whatever you do pray for God's guidance, to make the right choices.
:)

that's not necessarily true at all is it? most do walk away from the Lord when things are prosperous, and cry unto the Lord when life sucks in their distress. that's how it really works in reality, not in your fantasy of what Christianity ought to be. see Ps 107 is an example of the recognition of that truth in scripture.

surly your posting shows you have no experience in these things?

I know most of them will pay lip service to how good God's been when living the life of riley, but not really living the life God wants them to live...........you know............for his glory, and for his sake.............................. And yes, my church has had plenty of "believers" come in begging for help and prayer, who will then never be seen again whats their needs are fulfilled. I've seen and heard plenty from both ends of the spectrum. On both ends, its all about what God can and has done for them and never what they can do for God, and church is seen as nothing more than a social gathering. I don't need "recognition" in scripture to tell me, I've experience it.

according this posting you've seen it in superficial ways, but that doesn't mean you have experience thereof.

Dear Friend, I think that your post is not exactly about acquiring financial freedom. You have concluded like this:

So, how about you? Do you feel like you have a handle on the power of money?

I don't think most of the people living in this world are those who have plenty of money and not knowing how to handle it. Most of the people in this world whether Christians or non-Christians are not rich people. Most of the people are either struggling for survival or those who want to sustain/continue their survival. I think your post would fail to inspire many of us in this community and it is not spiritually guided by the word of God.

Today I was reading Psalm 38 and the verse which comes to my mind :
Psalm 38
11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

This is one of the reasons why people work so hard so that they might not depend on others during difficult times. I remember once my mother told me that there is no one to help us during difficult times and also that God is with us.

Of course, we Christians also need money to live like everybody else, but we are not money mongers. The perspective God has about money through the Bible is quiet different.

Jesus taught us to pray, Matthew 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.

Being rich is a gift of God,
Ecclesiastes 5
19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

Perhaps it would be more useful if there was a sound advise in how to manage finances when one is in a debt or when one is currently out of income or how to invest money for better health or avoiding lavish spending when employed or recover from a financial crunch.:( I think this is when people intently read the Bible for hope.:) But there are public speakers in a congregation who are more concerned about tithes rather than hope during financial difficulties and financial advisors giving tips for rich to become more rich and finally the richest.

If this post was about financial freedom for a student aspiring to start a career or a middle aged person during financial difficulties or an old aged person after retirement, inspired by the Word of God, perhaps it would have been useful to the community.

I myself have faced financial difficulties quiet often. Whenever I'm out of job I do not try to embrace/pray for/harness money! Instead, I try to use the money I have in a best way possible. I work out at home instead of Gym ( I was able to get sufficient weights once during employment), I would focus on medical requirements which I have neglected during employment, I prepare food mostly at home (this will also save money and better quality of food), I would also invest some money to improve career knowledge, things at home for better living, and also not to forget to redeem the reward points on my credit card  :). All this to focus on being employed again and also when I am employed I also think of the time I would be required to temporarily stay away from work.

Financial life is so complex and differs from one person to another.

God tells us through Proverbs that all our ways have to be established.(Prov 4:26)
Jesus tells us that He wants to give us life in all its fullness. This cannot happen with the power of money , but with the Word of God who is Jesus.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I would rather embrace the Word of God (Deut 6:6-9), pray for the fullness of life (John 10:10) and harness benefits of a godly life (Romans 11:29).

Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

All Glory to God

nice, "forsaken" here is revealed to be a perspective, and not necessarily truth.

see, we got no problem entertaining the thought of earning, saving, and investing money, right, as long as "money" is defined as Federal Reserve Notes, which have already crashed over 99%. But any time a savior comes to issue Greenbacks, or United States Notes, we hold the cloaks while they get stoned, see. I shouted out 'who killed the kennedys,' when after all, it was you and me.

by any chance do we have any Baby Boomers in here that could relate their experience of conscientiously saving over a long period of time? 'Member those projections you were given when you started saving? How are they panning out?
