Just think!! Prophecy written 2500-3000 years ago coming true today. The big question will born again believers be raptured before this coming war or after? IMHO We believers will be caught up before.

if this is the day that the Lord returns to mont of olives then that would be one that is supposed to blow up into a valley when the Lord returns.

the isles is the good question, don't know its tough to say what was culturally understood as an isle then. could be the US for instance it dwells in security of distance from what could be understood as mainland (anything you can walk to from Jerusalem even the far east.


but why all the pushing and shoving in Syria I don't know. could be Russia's efforts to get their oil to marks in the west. Arabs don't be liking that to much. the US is still in bed with the Arab oil, and the Russians just might be willing to go all the way. Putin's been in power for what almost 20 years if not longer. thing is the US media and much of the old guard in the senate keep screaming evil Russia every day on the news. so there is something in the works and the propaganda machine is trying to convince the public what is about to happen is justified.

Damascus is supposed to become desolate and uninhabitable, but I don't remember where in scripture it says that.

My best guess are the Isles of Britain/UK, even the USA, Australia and NZ etc. The words " among them that dwell carelessly in the isles" brings to mind living in leisure, wealthy places, being complacent, too cozy, not being alert to danger. Even the "good" guys are under God's judgement.

Now the mountains of Israel might not be the actual mountains on Israel. They don't have many and they are really small as compared with most country who have mountains. These could be the actual mountains in North America as being part of true Israel.

Today I believe the people in Israel do not represent God's people and his holy name. Well the West are not that far behind either. Although the true spiritual Israel are within the West and other places around the world. The state of Israel also might not be a part of this massive war and only spectators. The catalyst for this war though could be the state of Israel, the prize. I don't think the 'bad' guys want to destroy the lands around Israel. They want to take it and control. Today the only way to have a chance to do this is to knock out North America, at least, and Britain...

na, prophecy of God is almost always based from the view of Jerusalem and Israel and in Ezekiel's case Ezekiel is in Israel. and again from the view of an Israelite mountains in Israel are mountains no matter how they may compare in size to anywhere else.

you don't have to Knock out the US and such, you just have to place them in a position were they are not willing or able to do what is necessary to stop you from making your next move. no different then what is behind the game of chess. and like I said Putin's been around for quite some time because his supporters seek his success in what ever he's attempting.
