I have just finished reading the long and now closed tread titled
‘The real foundation of the RCC’

WOW, what an eye opener!
How Brakelite and his detractors interact is revealing.
The methods employed by each side to shore up their position advertises the spirit operating respectively.

Little has changed in tactics since the trial of Jesus and this is what stands out as would nakedness in a gathering wearing tuxedos.

I am disappointed that my 'detractors' , through their constant verbal violence, managed to convince the mods to lock the thread. Shutting down any information they disapprove of, has been Rome's response against opposition for 1500 years. Sad that the moderators bought into their game, although I have no doubt the mods are doing what they believe to be the right thing by the forum. I am just not sure why history and Bible study could be so dangerous as to be shut down on a Protestant forum.

I wonder how many Catholics who were on the fence about leaving their church stumbled upon this discourse and sided with the Protestants. I doubt a single one.

IMO the Spirit is not behind the arguements, and they are pointless. They will convince no one from the otherside.

If someone leaves a church it will be because of their own experiences and convictions. Or should they leave Christianity all together, lack of conviction.

Why do you assume that it is the "flesh" which contends for Bible truth? Surely you understand that the battle between Light and Darkness has raged since the deception of Eve, and continues to rage today.

Take some time to study the epistle of Jude.
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Don't you think that the elevation of Mary to be the Queen of Heaven (along with many other titles of veneration) is in fact a denial of our Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ?
