If they aren't respectable, then I honestly cannot claim to "love" them as I do myself. The two terms go hand in hand the way I see it.

Love just is.
Respect is more about acknowledging another in a favorable way for their conduct or abilities/ talents.

Gods Love just is...whether or not He likes the abilities or talents or conduct of a man.

^That is the Love God desires we have toward one another.....and BTW....that is nearly ipossible for a man to achieve...Without Gods Indwelling Power.

Love toward others...without a caveat..."if only that other was such-n-such"...."to my satisfaction".
